A Buffalo State student is still missing, a week after she was last seen on campus.

Saturday, the search for her continued, with family and friends again canvassing Niagara Falls State Park and the surrounding area.

Her family believes she may have taken an NFTA bus to Niagara Falls. Saniyya’s phone was last pinged early Sunday morning near Goat Island.

The search for missing Buffalo State student Saniyya Dennis continues this weekend as her family expresses frustration with the investigation.

A group was back at Niagara Falls State Park on Saturday, searching near Goat Island - the last place police say her phone was pinged. Flyers are also posted all around the city.

Dennis was last seen leaving her dorm room shortly before midnight on April 24. Buffalo State Police say they also have a video of Saniyya at the NFTA's bus terminal downtown, but that clip has not been made public.
 
I suspect there is a reason they have not put the bus video out publicly. It could be as simple as preparing it for publication and editing perhaps anything they don't want in it, etc. or it could be something more.

A perp could have taken her phone to Niagara Falls area. By terminal downtown where she was seen, I take that to mean downtown Buffalo as the NFTA is Buffalo's light rail system.

While I can so understand the family's upset over everything and when someone is missing, may be hurt or in danger, time elapsing has to be horrible, I also feel there may be reasons by LE for some of what they are upset over. No doubt things take too long compared to what all families want but as to the investigation side, it is hard to accept but there is a reason not all is shared even with family. If there is a perp, the perp could be alerted someone or LE is onto them for instance when the perp thinks he/she is home free. The more family members, the harder--will one share something they don't want shared?

It has crossed my mind and I imagine the mind of others as well. Do we have though any real evidence she went there other than her phone pinged there? She got on the Buffalo Light Rail the way it sounds to me in downtown Buffalo, or do they mean elsewhere? The Buffalo Light Rail is run by the NFTA.

If she did indeed go to Niagara Falls though and on her own, I feel what you most likely mean is the most likely reason for going there.
 
I am adding to what I said in the last few posts. I guess NFTA also operates a bus hourly to Niagara falls which would not be the light rail. There is also Amtrak but the price is much higher. So maybe she did get on a bus for Niagara.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I heard about the location of the last pings. There are so many bodies in there they never found. Or someone wants to give that impression. I guess we all hope that she is out there just taking a break from everything. Prayers for her family.

She was an honors student and in engineering it said so I imagine the pressure would be high. Early May would be finals in most colleges wouldn't it?

Such could lend to either the break from things or the other...

Per the family, I don't think LE said it, there was an hours long phone connection with someone though which could lend to another person... It could also though indicate a possible upset with the other person and she took off...
 
Well, Yonkers is over near the east coast and NYC and it is mostly east all the way across the state from Buffalo. Niagara is north of Buffalo... The interstate, etc. maps I am looking at would never have you going to Niagara Falls to get to Yonkers...

My opinion is cementing in a certain direction now...

Same here. Seems to be a popular area to go when feeling despair.
 
In the elevator picture, I wish a person could tell for sure if that is a second phone. It SURE looks like it.

What is in the left bottom corner? Is that the other passenger's head or something else?
