Pregnant San Antonio teen missing after failing to show up at the hospital​

A pregnant San Antonio 18-year-old girl has been reported missing after her mother says she was scheduled to be induced and failed to show up on Saturday, December 23. A news report by KENS 5 said she was a week past her due date when she was scheduled to be induced.

Gloria Cordova said that she last heard from her daughter Savanah Nicole Soto on Friday, December 22, and is worried about her safety. Cordova said she could not find her daughter at her apartment prior to the scheduled appointment, and reported her daughter missing to the Leon Valley Police Department at the hospital after she never showed up. She said that "something seemed off."

She told KENS 5 that Soto's phone was dead and police could not get ahold of her boyfriend. Cordova identified Soto's boyfriend as Mathew Guerra to MySA. MySA reached out to police to confirm whether a missing persons report has been filed for Guerra.

“Savanah was so, so happy because she was going to be a mommy, it breaks my heart,” Cordova said.

Cordova said her daughter was ready to be a mom. She had the nursey done and had planned on giving birth with her mother in the delivery room.

However, by Saturday afternoon, Cordova could not reach her daughter. She decided to check on her at her apartment.

“I went by there and knocked and knocked and knocked and she wasn’t answering,” Cordova said.

She said she was not home and her phone appeared dead.

“We got to the hospital, they said she wasn’t there,” Cordova said.

She filed a police report with Leon Valley Police. She said something seemed off and they could not get a hold of her boyfriend, either.

“We don’t even know what happened, they said it could be anything,” Cordova said.

This comes at time when Cordova is still grieving the loss of another child.

“It’s hard, it’s like one after another,” Cordova said.

Last year, she said her 15-year-old son was killed. Now, on Christmas Eve, she has no idea where her 18-year-old daughter is.

“It still hurts because what I tell my kids, I’m not complete, I’m not complete and now I don’t have my daughter,” She said.

She is urging anyone with any information to come forward.

"Please come home, no one's going to judge you, no one is going to say nothing," Cordova said. "I just want you to be home."

Well they need to find him. Finding her and her unborn child should be more important but if they find him first and he doesn't "know" where she is well then that answers that. Of course I'm assuming it is a pretty typical scenario sadly but I'm betting they find him before long but not her. My guess anyhow.

She was due/overdue to deliver, she wasn't going to wander off. Imo.

Wow. So when her 15 year old brother was murdered and the perp in court, her family jumped the partition and attacked him and there is video.

Not saying it is related but there is also talk of abuse and battering in her relationship with the bf and more. Then I gather a lot of posts deleted and more. I don't do SM but Plunder does.

I have a bad feeling about this one but I guess one can hope they are on the run together. I'm not good in reading between the lines in this kind of stuff and would guess we are talking gangs? No idea.

Although that does not necessarily relate to her disappearance which probably is sadly a result of the usual reason in such cases.

Well murder suicide would seem the most likely. It sure sounded as if she and her mother were going to be the two going to the hospital when induced and not her and him , yet here she was with him.

It of course could be the murder of both but it would seem far more unlikely/coincidental.

I wonder who found the car in the lot and notified the family. Was it a family member that notified other family...?

That seems a BIT odd because wouldn't they have looked inside and seen the bodies and called LE? It sounds as if someone only noted the car and they must have known the plate to know it was his...

Maybe there is more to it...

A pregnant teenager, who disappeared before she was scheduled to be induced, and her boyfriend are believed to have been found dead Tuesday following a days-long search, police said.

The bodies of two people believed to be Savanah Nicole Soto, 18, and her boyfriend were found in a vehicle in San Antonio, San Antonio Police Chief Bill McManus told reporters Tuesday evening, calling the case "very, very perplexing."

"Detectives right now are looking at this as a possible murder, but we don't know for sure," McManus said.

The two bodies were found in the boyfriend's vehicle and are believed to have been there for three to four days, McManus said. Their identities will be officially confirmed by the medical examiner, but they are believed to be Soto and her boyfriend, he said.

The chief was unable to confirm if the female victim was pregnant and said that would also be left to the medical examiner to determine.

The vehicle was found on the 5900 block of Danny Kaye Drive in San Antonio, police said. McManus did not know who located it.

A pregnant teenager and her boyfriend, whose bodies were found Tuesday in a car in San Antonio, Texas, had both sustained a gunshot wound, police said Wednesday.
An unborn child was also killed, police said.

A representative with the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday afternoon said there was no additional information to release about the case.

Asked if investigators were looking for a suspect in the deaths, a police department spokesperson on Wednesday afternoon said there were no known suspects. The official added there was no ongoing threat to the public.

A bit cryptic but seems to me what I'd guessed, he killed them and then himself, I wonder if he killed himself immediately though or not. No threat to the public and no suspects and there wouldn't be I guess if the suspect is dead is my guess.

They refer to the unborn baby as "killed" so did he shoot it too, I don't even want to think about it. They don't say. Of course the child could have died when or after mom died naturally but this sounds more direct when they say "killed". Again not going to think more about it.

The abuse and all else and his getting away with one due to a missing witness, etc. and other charges all fits.

I'm not sure why he has been referred to as her boyfriend when it sounds like he was an ex, or an ex at times, or it was an off and on thing maybe.

I'd still like to know who found the car but did not find them.

I guess there's still an off chance this is something else and there is another murderer but it sure doesn't seem like it/sound that way.

Such a tragedy and such a waste.

So even though early things made it sound like they were parked near the medical complex, the car was actually at an apartment complex and one report says police were still trying to figure out if the couple has any ties to that location.

Sadly she forgave him after an assault last Christmas and dropped charges...
