Yep. Although i wonder how long term this one was. And yep we see it all the time, a murder and then the past comes to light and we go why was he even OUT?

But there are so many that haven't ended in murder yet either but such a type only progresses to worse the more they get away with and the more they escalate as they can't do real world and relationships and they aren't relationship material. If all stays their way and their partner puts up with all of the sh*t maybe they never murder but IF something goes wrong watch out...
Good point of escalation. Like a serial killer. It gets worse and more frequent. Not better.

That's good to know. Years ago I had no luck with finding anything in MN and it would have come in useful a time or two. From all I could see short of going to each courthouse or writing every possible county separately, you couldn't even see if there were cases on a person. But with DOC you mean those convicted right? Sometimes it is good to see if someone for instance had ten charges of domestics over various wives, gfs, but they got dropped... Maybe not fair, no conviction, but such often do get dropped or pled down. Or even if someone has 10 civil judgments, 40 creditors, etc. it tells you something if they are pretending to be financially set, have a great job etc. because if all true, they'd pay the judgments. And their credit would of course be poor, that's a no brainer AND they'd have people wanting to garnishee their paycheck, etc. Would that kind of stuff show?

In WI I felt theirs one of the best and early ones for decades now with online access and free. You have full circuit court cases of all kinds with free access and you don't have to search by county but can or an overall search on all types, family, criminal, civil, etc. The appeals side of it has pretty darned good access too although naturally I've used that less.

It used to have a LOT more detail IN the cases and hearing events, etc. than it does now, not sure if that's good or bad for various reasons but I think in general openness is always better but they've tightened that part up some or quite a bit. But it is still wonderfully free and easy to use and all is there. Well unless you'er a corrupt judge, cop or attorney who magically got a case of theirs erased and yes, seen some in our area that happened with...But that's another SUBJECT entirely. The State system and site is one of the best I've ever seen for ease and free of cost. I would say that back when and still say it.

As far as DOC I don't know as much but am sure we have that too. I know you can also go to each county and search inmate rosters and so on.

But yes, like you did for others you were concerned of, I'd encourage all to do it. Doesn't mean they will listen to you as to what you found out and who they are dating but one can try.

Criminal and convicted are the biggest of course but like I said even knowing they have several judgments, had six wives, aren't paying their child support, etc. but never went to prison can tell ya a lot about a guy. Or gal.
40 CREDITORS?!!!! Oh I would have had fun! :D:LOL:

In Minnesota. ONE good thing is you can go to the "MN Dept of Corrections" Website, And search a name. And if anyone has a record at all. It will come up. I haven't used it in awhile. Maybe it's changed. I wouldn't doubt it. But I have never looked up anyone for me. For people I care about. Yes. Without them asking when I was suspicious of someone they were with for good reason.
Missouri has similar. The problem here is that Kansas is severely lacking in access and our metro is pretty much equally spread between both states, so you wouldn't be able to pick up on things they might have done just possibly even a few blocks away.

They certainly need to fix that. That's ridiculous. Criminals don't know that. Psh.

Cory Hill arrest: Florida man killed wife, then tried to kill ex-girlfriend hours later, warrant says

A Florida man facing attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting at an ex-girlfriend at her home is now possibly facing a charge of first-degree murder in the alleged shooting death of his wife, whose body was found days ago inside a storage unit in Apopka, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office confirmed Wednesday that an arrest warrant had been issued for Cory Hill, who was considered a "person of interest" in the disappearance of his wife, Shakeira Rucker, and then considered to be the "prime suspect" in her death. He is charged with first-degree murder with a firearm in Rucker's death.

In the warrant, deputies shared an updated timeline of events surrounding the death of Rucker and the alleged attempted murder of Hill's ex-girlfriend, Angel Milligan. According to the warrant, Hill is alleged to have shot and killed Rucker in his storage unit and then, three hours later, drove to his ex-girlfriend's house to allegedly shoot her.

In the arrest warrant, Orange County Sheriff's Office investigators said the two women – Rucker and the ex-girlfriend – had recently discovered Hill had been in a relationship with both of them.

"Hill attempts to kill the female he was having an affair on Rucker with approximately three hours later. It can be deduced Hill killed Rucker and then attempted to kill the female he had an extramarital affair with," the affidavit said.

It allegedly took Cory Hill less than 20 minutes to kill Shakeira Rucker in his storage unit.

Rucker and Hill were seen together the night of Nov. 11 on surveillance footage from a retail store and restaurant, according to deputies.

The next morning, the two were also seen entering the storage facility where Rucker's body was found, Your Storage Units Apopka on Wiggins Road. In both sightings, Rucker was seen wearing a blue outfit. That's the same outfit she was wearing when deputies found her inside the storage unit days later.

At the storage unit, Hill was seen on surveillance footage entering the facility at 6:39 a.m. with a woman in the passenger seat matching Rucker's description, according to the affidavit.

Seven minutes later, Rucker's phone contacted her family saying she was on her way home, according to the arrest warrant.

Less than 20 minutes after Hill and Rucker entered the storage facility, deputies said he was spotted leaving the facility alone.

Hill reportedly told Rucker's family that she was not with him and he hadn't seen her since 6:30 a.m. that day. This was later disproved by Hill's cell phone data and "the fact that Rucker was never seen leaving the storage unit she was found deceased in," the affidavit said.

When deputies arrived to the storage unit on Nov. 18 after someone reported a bad smell coming from Hill's unit, they found Rucker in said blue outfit, the affidavit said. A fired cartridge casing was found in her hair, plus three others in the storage unit. Blood was seen near Rucker on the ground and on the walls, deputies said.

"There was no evidence to suggest the victim was shot somewhere outside of the storage unit and then moved into the storage unit," the affidavit said.

Hill also allegedly tried to hide Rucker's body by "haphazardly" placing two tires in front of her body.

"Based on the positioning of the female's body, the tires were placed there after the female fell on the floor," the affidavit added.

At 10:13 a.m. that day (Nov. 12), Hill arrived to Milligan's house and "attempted to kill her," according to deputies. In the affidavit, Milligan is described as Hill's "ex lover" and "paramour." Rucker reportedly recently discovered Hill was in a romantic relationship and living with another woman, which was revealed to be Milligan.

"Rucker and the paramour learned they had both been deceived by Hill," the arrest warrant said.

Hill fired off several bullets into her home, broke into a window, gained entry and tried to find Milligan "to kill her," the affidavit continued.

Deputies said they found several fired 9 mm cartridge casings at the scene.

On Tuesday, forensic analysis revealed the fired cartridge casings from Rucker's shooting and the incident involving Milligan were a match. Hill's car was also seen at both crime scenes, deputies said.

A warrant was secured for Hill on Wednesday.

I was wondering if that is what led them to that unit. The smell. It had been a week and in Florida.

This is the 2nd case where I have seen a person was found murdered and then put in a storage unit. In that case. Yes. It was the foul odor. So I am sure you're right. Especially if they aren't climate controlled. Even then, Will be room temperature.

So very tragic. I feel for her family.

As to him, what a frickng idiot. Could you provide an easier trail and ton of evidence??

Two women found out he was a liar and he kills one and attempts to kill the other. Such an appropriate response. Does he know he wouldn't have been prosecuted for seeing another woman but he sure the he77 is going away now. I doubt he was so ashamed over his cheating but guessing he was enraged they were onto him and they DARED to probably put him in his place and call him out.

Such a man he is.

This is senseless Totally tragic. Just move on dumbsh*t, that's all you had to do.

Yeah. He's no MAN. Male by Technicality. He's a cowardly, Trying to save himself by any means necessary, Scorpion. That will hide under a rock first. Someone removes the rock. And he's exposed. Then he will strike.

Great analogy as it looks like exactly what happened here. On top of it he probably had church people believing he was someone he wasn't. Maybe no one knew of his prison time...

If he would’ve killed the girlfriend, I think he would’ve ended up committing suicide. That’s usually how it goes.
Or not. A lot of them stop at that point too or make some weak attempt, they apparently value their own life. We do see that just as much I think, kills wife and children and next he is up on murder charges is a very common story too. Both very possible though.

I wonder if it will be upgraded at some point to first degree. It isn't like this was his first incident or use of a firearm that day. He stopped in between and left with her and the had dinner did they not? Seems intentional to me and premeditated but who knows.

Prosecutors will seek death penalty for husband of Winter Springs mom found dead in storage unit

On Thursday, State Attorney Andrew A. Bain announced that the husband of a Winter Springs woman found dead in his storage unit has been charged with first-degree murder.

Cory Hill was previously charged with second-degree murder, four counts of attempted murder, burglary, shooting at a building and violation of a domestic violence injunction.

Officials explained Hill was charged with second-degree murder so he could be held until a grand jury determined if he should be charged with first-degree murder.

Bain says that the state will be seeking the death penalty.

I get angry every time one is let out early. It's been proven time and time again to cause more victims. It seems the same people that are on the parole boards also work for DCFS. Some yes, Are numb to it. I can't understand that. I hope a situation from this problem doesn't touch their lives. I really do. Society in general is desensitized. To an unbelievable level to me. I am not the only one sounding off about it. But nothing is being done. If the members of the parole board had to have the parolee live on their block. I'm sure things would be different. But lawmakers, People in control aren't touched by this. Not in their economic bracket for risk for a random attack. This is not meant to be political. It's been a problem for decades. So it doesn't matter what party you identify with. It's a fact of what is being done by laws, Boards etc. And NOT being done.
It isn't only the powers that be or politicians, etc., average people are desensitized to it and even you and I probably get that way or it affects us so much of it goes on. We see it here even. You and I go on about such and react and some others do and some do not.

And yes, it would be different if that criminal was put in their home to live, on their street or was dating their daughter as to the powers that be. But sure, let '\em out for whoever they may mess with dumbarses.

Most don't seem to care what is going on. Not enough to speak up anyhow even somewhere safe. Or I guess live in their own bubble and don't care.

'Blood seeping into my unit': 911 calls released in murder of missing Winter Springs mother

Newly released 911 calls shed light on how Orange County deputies found the body of a missing mother hidden inside a storage unit.

The 911 calls reveal how a man renting the unit next to Hill's found clues.

"I had notified this place before that there was blood seeping into my unit. I have video of it," the caller said.

According to a newly released incident report, the man told the manager of "Your Storage Units" in Apopka that there was a bad smell and blood coming from the unit next door.

The manager called 911 after a disturbing discovery.

"We had a complaint from a customer that it looked like something was leaking into his unit. We went ahead and um, now we cut the lock," the manager said to the 911 operator. "...But it looks like there's a there's a body there. What we can see is a head."

WESH 2 spoke with the manager on the phone, but she declined an interview.

Deputies say when they found Rucker's body in the unit, they also found a shell casing next to her head.

The evidence led them to their suspect, Hill.

Prosecutors are seeking to pursue the death penalty against the man who is facing first-degree murder.
