An Amber Alert has been issued for a pregnant teenager who is believed to be with a 40-year-old man.

Sophia Franklin, 16, was last seen Sunday night at her home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. She is three months pregnant.

Authorities believe she is with 40-year-old Gary F. Day, who is the father of Sophia’s unborn child. He was last seen at Sophia’s home Monday morning.

Day and Sophia have a no-contact order.

They are believed to be traveling in a 2014 model black Buick LaCrosse with Arkansas license plate BBR 20L.

This whole case is very alarming. At times I can be very desensitized with cases Because of what I have been through but this case is just one of those ones that every time I hear one more thing, it just turns my stomach and I am so scared for this girl.At this point it wouldn't even surprise me from a journalist point of view for him to be suicidal and I would be concerned of him killing her and then himself.

Yeah Sophia got the phone I think maybe it's longer than 7 months bur not quite a year

That's exactly where my mind takes me. He's got everything to lose right now.

She was with him until sometime in December.

6 kids is alot and now with this on the plate they definitely need a good social worker looking over them.

Yeah, I don't have a real reason for thinking the Amish thing but it crossed my mind from the very first time I saw this case. Yeah, the hints of very religious are there.

Where did the cell info come from? I'm assuming Grizzly but if so, where did she get it?

I'm really taking a wait and see on these parents...

Releasing new pics would seem to indicate they have no leads and no idea where these two are. I don't know about anyone else, but this one is frustrating, I guess because generally in a situation like this, they'd have found them by now.

Interesting the article says still that they are heading to Arkansas. Okay, only taking them weeks on end I guess to get there...?

The case of a missing pregnant teenager could soon be in the hands of the United States Marshals Service according to Beaver Dam Police.


Since day one, Beaver Dam Police have been in close contact with law enforcement on both the state and federal level.

The police chief said while they are still getting tips from across the country, they have slowed down a bit.

It’s been over two weeks since anyone has seen or heard from Sophia Franklin or Gary Day. Amber Alerts have been issued in Wisconsin, Arkansas, and parts of central Missouri.

So I assume the home he is walking towards is the home of Sophia's family.

Of course they aren't going to tell us, but it sounds like LE have NO CLUE where they are after all of this time.

And it sounds as if they could be anywhere in the nation, which they could be as far as we know. However, there's either all cash being used then OR someone is helping them. Hard to say but he doesn't seem the type to have a lot of money or resources to stay holed up long with enough money. So WHERE are they? I have the impression his mother would help him but that's just speculation on my part based on a few things said in the case.
