ONGOING CRIME BREAKING NEWS!

Starting in January 2020, this thread is about the news as it breaks!

Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

IMO- stay in jail

They use glue, but not Gorilla Glue.

She's suing Gorilla Glue now because the bottle doesn't say not to use on hair. It says, avoid skin and eyes, but not hair.
I actually was going to predict that or say she had better not be up to such a thing but I thought give the apparent idiot the benefit of the doubt. You will now not convince me that this was not all intentional, I personally kind of thought so from the start. I hope they throw the frivolous suit right out of court but it generally doesn't go that way. She will likely get a nuisance settlement if nothing else.

They had better not let this go forward for all to use products in any way not WARNED about on the bottle, I am still mad at the lady who halted hot coffee! These people need to be in day cares with 24/7 supervision so they don't get themselves in fixes using such things in such ways, not paid for being stupid or more likely, intentionally so.

Now Gorilla Glue is going to have to reprint a whole :poop: load of labels so they say DO NOT USE ON HAIR!
If they have to print labels for every product of what NOT to do with it, the labels will be a mile long and larger than the product. No common sense in this world, our courts or our laws but one has to remember attorneys make big bucks out of such suits too.

It's simple: "No one should use this product for anything but its intended printed purpose in the manner described on this product. If you ignore this, and something detrimental occurs, it is ON YOU. Zero liability lies with the company or manufacturer." That's the way it SHOULD BE.

I had no idea what an AMBUS is. You can get 20+ patients in one of them.

I've never heard of that either. Wonder if it's just native to Dallas/Fort Worth.

That's terrible. That is one of the worst pile ups I've ever seen.

I have never heard of such a thing. I wouldn't think there would be a big call for them but sadly there are times there are mass incidents so they would be ideal I guess in such a situation.
