UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson killed in Midtown Manhattan by masked gunman in December 2024

That's just a sampling. Just because I'm on my phone and don't want to type his last name
Suddenly I'm a big fan?! All I've said is I get why people support him.

Please don't twist my words.
So you do think he's guilty? It's an open and shut case really as they found the gun on him as well as his "manifesto".

Looking on the bright side, at least he will get free health care for the rest of his life.

Not guilty, good luck with that.

What do you think? I post stuff it's ignored and I get accused of thinking he's not guilty, simply because I left his last name off a couple of posts. Unbelievable, if I didn't see it for myself.

There was a hearing on this today. The perp walk was recorded. The hearing was not. I don't have a link as to the news of it. I gather the D attorney spoke afterwards or so I heard. Don't think the P did which is typically, one side keeps things close to the vest, and the other doesn't.

I just watched. He apparently wanted his shackles removed but the court refused. Not surprised.

So for those who get why people (mainly women?) support him and watched the doc, how was it? Did it interview any supporters to ask them?

OMG the pic on the back of the truck -Saint Luigi.

The man accused of killing the UnitedHealthcare boss Brian Thompson arrived in court to chants from supporters demanding his release.

Crowds of fans filled the hallways and gathered outside in the street as Luigi Mangione, 26, was brought before at New York county criminal court in Manhattan on Friday.

His supporters, primarily young women, wore T-shirts and bracelets with the phrase “Free Mangione” and chanted “We want Luigi free!”

Protestors holding signs that read Free Luigi, Healthcare is for patients not shareholders, and Luigi didn't do it! at a court hearing.

Supporters called for the shooting suspect to be released

Many held signs decrying the state of the US healthcare system and greeted Mangione’s attorney, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, with cheers and applause. “Wanted” posters targeting the chief executives of other health insurance companies appeared near the court.

Shackled and wearing a bulletproof vest over a green jumper, Mangione entered the same courtroom where Donald Trump was

There are so many people with a motive. Stockholders, and people who've been denied coverage.
I thought you were saying Luigi is guilty?
Bad healthcare does not justify murder otherwise we would all be killing our doctors.

Actually he is an anti-hero ì just realised.

Stockholders would be happy with the CEO, presumably, i think

How does that change anything about Luigi's guilt?

Crowds as in plural. Smh. A crowd is a number of people. They are making it sound like more than it is.

Young women, no surprise, right up there with Manson types or those that worship Watts. Very doubtful they are about wanting to change health care than about a sick obsession with the PERP.

Then the article says he was in the same courtroom as Trump.

No attempt to elevate this man's importance by the news is there now?

I saw there was apparently some small number of people there in support or in "love" with the creep but I didn't post it here intentionally.

Quit yelling at me.

I read every post here.

Try harder to understand them. Don't accuse me of changing my mind, when I obviously didn't.

I wasn't saying he didn't do it. The question was who was supporting him and did they speak to any of them?

My answer was as to who was supporting him. Don't accuse me of things I never said.

Here's what I think about this. Luigi was 100% wrong for killing ANYONE!

The narrative that the victim was a great guy is wrong. He was running a company that made money by denying life saving medical care.

He also stole money from the shareholders and was being investigated by the SEC. He was not an admiralable human being.

I didn't say it changed anything re his guilt. All the evidence points to him.

You were saying stockholders and those denied healthcare would have a motive. I was disagreeing with that. You need to properly read the posts and not continually attack others' posts.

Here you go again, attacking/defaming the victim. He was not doing anything wrong. None of what you say is proven. You need to provide proof of what you are saying ie from a court not opinion from a newspaper.

Even if there is proof, it does not justify a cold bloodied assassination.

On the one hand you say the perp is guilty, then next you are badmouthing the victim.
I didn't think that was allowed.
