JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
• June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
• July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
• August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
• September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
• September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
• September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
• September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
• October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
• October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
• October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
• October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
• Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
• November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
• November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
• December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
• December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
• December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
• January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
• January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

So you probably already know but the question that brought it to a halt earlier, at first a short one, then they were coming back, then it was lunch was something on the order from Lori to Nancy of tell me everything Charles told you about me. And THAT is when Nancy asked the judge if she could just like give a not speech, I forget the word, a tell all answer, she used a word though. Right about then was when it came to a halt. Does she know what she is doing (Lori), I need to think on that one but boy she has no issue getting jealous, I think it is a mix honestly.

Anyhow allowing the "wide" answer of their conversations (Charles and Nancy) could have opened the door to many things... Now we want that, the P probably wants that but in the weird way they and the J also have to be sure it is fair to a D representing herself and so on.

Maybe most know this by now but just putting in on here separately to I guess kind of point it out in this case and the trial.

I was worried my telling about it and you seeing some ahead of time it wouldn't come across when you watched it but yes, it was SOMETHING. She can cheat and have him killed but I think it was just unthinkable to her that he wasn't pining over her entirely and was dating. All men are to do that. That's my opinion anyhow.

The P would have LOVED to have that last question before lunch answered but Lori must have thought better of it. It could have opened a door.

I did go back and watch the other woman, took me watching more again than I hoped to find the part the sound was off but I've seen all so far mostly and so I wanted to.

The entire day was interesting as Nate said and I was surprised when Lori had no questions for the last one honestly.

And then when I heard about the life insurance in direct from the P, I suspected if she didn't know, or even if she did, that she was going to be HOT and bothered.

You know, I thought today am I liking the sensational but it really isn't that, this woman imo stood up for Charles and JJ and so on and seemed to have more concern that Lori and was an advocate for them, but I can't deny liking a few of her remarks.

Yeah, for direct family I am guessing he might be the only one in this trial? Far as I know they don't talk, don't think Adam fights the heart there but who knows... I can only go by watching their show which I quit doing, and I know you watched them too.

You know there are hints on how small the LDS world is, not small congregation but I know enough to know they generally date in their wards and such and things like that and of course the Nancy had encountered or knew of both Adam and Brandon and so on. That is its own conversation but just mentioning it.

I don't know what day Kay is up but that one is going to be something imo. Did you hear Nate say he saw Kate glaring at Lori at one point in all this today?

IF I could have killed someone from glaring a hole through their back in a courtroom well someone would be gone...

And Kay is justified, she KILLED Charles. And Kay is going to stand up for them all I'm sure. And Kay got the life insurance...

Yet apparently Lori did listen to someone today as she came back and didn't pursue her last question before lunch... Pretty interesting honestly isn't it all?

It was Colby's bday today, turned 29. Wonder if his mother thought of him, or sent him a gift. That's at Lori of course not him.

I did catch part of his show after I watched Nate's.

Sounds like he is headed in to go for a day tomorrow as I mentioned earlier.

Anyhow, I feel for him always. He has 3 kids and hopefully he forges a far better life.

Megan and Annie also had shows up but didn't try to watch them, just mentioning for anyone interested.

I'm ready for her to go away and be silent. It's been enough of their show, meaning her and Chad. It was interesting today but also just showed imo who she is. Get through these last two trials and hopefully that's the end of the Dumbbell Circus.

Video of Alex's police interview. I just came across it and have now finished watching. The wound on the back of the head can be seen. First 8 minutes is setting up the room and the interview. Then about 30 minutes is the interview. Then he is left for about 40 mins then a paramedic comes in with the officer and takes swabs of his head and hands for about 10 minutes. Then left alone again till about 15 mins from end when the officer comes back in continuing interviewing for about another 5 or 6 minutes. Total time 2 hours 8 mins.

What? I've heard her testimony at least twice and she said Adam. I COULD be wrong of course and just missed that but don't think so. Did Nate say Alex because he mixed their names up in his show too with something else with Adam and Alex and people were correcting him. What transcript, or do you mean Nate's tweets? It didn't make total sense though, I know that, in how she put it. It was like she was saying that she told Adam to quit using his own picture or some such. Anyhow, was correcting how she said she met Adam. Not Alex. She didn't state it well but it sounded like she accused someone of using Adam's pic but that it was Adam or something on that order.

We know Lori was seeing Chad so she wasn't otherwise trying to date was she? And I think she meant Adam was, I think maybe she meant she did not realize he was not married or something. Charles clearly was using the dating site.

I think it is a thing in the religion as it seems they all seem to look to date the minute a breakup happens and even if not yet divorced. Ian and Mel P supposedly met on a dating app too. It seems to be a thing to be preferably married, to me anyhow, and most seem to at least be dating or trying to.

You know it is just my opinion but I don't think some of their rules really help things. It is also said they are told what jobs are best, not sure if it is an absolute rule they stick to certain jobs but it is absolutely advised. Author is one of them. Life insurance agent is clearly another. Then there is the part where they are the 144K, more special than the rest of us and believing none of us are and so on. Dating within one's religion at least and also ideally within one's own ward I think and certain ages for that too and such. Money is clearly a thing and image as well. I definitely of course am not saying or judging all in the religion as bad BUT I've watched a lot of various things on it. I could also touch of secretive and other things. A lot of former LDS speak to such things.

Back to this, I was reminded of how angry Lori got on the phone call with Mel G. Just seemed like when someone challenges her or doesn't treat her as special, trouble comes. I don't mean only after meeting Chad but her entire life probably, look at what she did to Joe. And she seems very upset Charles was dating even though she wanted Chad, he was to be pining over her. I am surprised she did not go totally off when NJ told her not to flatter herself and she was bent on what they talked about about HER. I've watched a lot over the years of like her cousin talking about her--and her family, Adam has said plenty and there's just a lot out there. Like that the family had how they were special impressed on them, and above and more attractive than others, etc., think that came from the cousin, and so on.

She is definitely a narcissist. I don't like buzz words but needs to be the focus and seems to get almost petulant when it is not all about her. I realize I've went on from your post but processing yesterday for one. It was an interesting thing to watch. I am ready for her to go away but until then well I guess it gives some insight. Yesterday was such a mix of things imo seen about her especially with NJ. So far, I do think it was a mix of things, and a pretty good look at who she truly is, what people with her truly dealt with.

This is the narrative in the daily tweets from EIN. It was Adam's pic but a different name. She said Lori's brother came up on a dating app with a different name. I took it to mean Alex was doing it using Adam's pic.

1:36 p.m. Nancy Jo says she said hello to Adam and he asked who her grandson was on the pickleball team. “I don’t know that he knew who I was. I knew who he was.” Nancy Jo talked with Adam. “When you were talking with him, you told him you were who?” Nancy Jo: “I told him my name was Nancy Jo Hancock.” Nancy Jo says Lori’s brother came up on a dating app. She messaged the person because it had Adam’s photo but a different name. She reached out and said, “If you’re going to use someone photo, you should use someone elses.” Lori then says, “Do you know what perjury is?” Treena Kay objects as argumentative. Judge sustains.
