Missing Cohasset woman Ana Walshe last seen on New Year's Day

Cohasset police are looking for Ana Walshe, a missing woman who was last seen early in the morning on New Year's Day.

Walshe lives in Cohasset with her family, but she spends the workweeks in Washington DC. Her husband was not able to speak with WBZ-TV as he cares for their three young children, but family and friends near and far are growing desperate for her safe return.

"We're doing anything and everything, turning the world over to find her," said Alissa Kirby, Ana's friend in Washington DC.

Concern is growing, from Cohasset to the nation's capital, over her whereabouts and well-being. She works as a commercial real estate executive in DC, but her greatest passion and priority - her young sons in Massachusetts.

Police say the 39-year-old was last seen at her home in Cohasset shortly after midnight Sunday. Happy New Year messages were never returned.

I think where I didn't belive him the most was when he said he hadn't heard from her for a few days and it wasn't unusual to do so. Wouldn't you at least check in to make sure your SO made it safely to their destination when they traveled at the very least? I can understand a bit no contact after you know all is safe, but not prior to that. Plus, friends are saying she was such a loving mother. "Such a loving mother" doesn't jive with no contact for days being usual with little ones.

I'm hoping the woman seen earlier today leaving with the boys is Ana's sister. She lives in Canada so she may have flown down. Ana's Mother is still in Serbia so it couldn't have been her. The kids safety is a high priority.

After convincing a college pal he could get a good price for the (genuine) works, Walshe put them up for sale for $80,000 via his wife’s eBay account, court records show. But while he posted photos of the real thing, what he delivered to the purchaser, after consummating the deal outside the eBay platform, were phony, Walshe admitted in court last year.

Brian Walshe, 46, the husband of missing Cohasset woman Ana Walshe, 39, was arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday morning.

Prosecutors stated Brian Walshe is on house arrest pending a $500,000 cash bail in relation to charges of misleading a police investigation. According to prosecutors, there are records of Brian Walshe going to various commercial stores on the day Ana Walshe went missing, including Home Depot, Whole Foods and CVS, and he did not inform police of his whereabouts.

Police were also not actually informed by Brian Walshe that Ana was missing, however, as previously stated; just Ana’s employer informed police of her missing on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

Prosecutors also state Walshe was in Brockton and Abington on Jan. 1 and did not inform police.

Crime services found blood and bloody knife that had damage to it in the basement of the Walshe home in Cohasset, prosecutors said. Ana Walshe has still not been found.

so he calls somebody in DC stating he is concerned because he hasn't had contact with her for a few days, yet he tells LE that a few days of no contact is nothing new.

and friend was texting with her through Thursday...so did this happen even earlier than the 1st?

CNN reporting

"In addition, investigators found search queries on Brian Walshe’s internet records for “how to dispose of a 115-pound woman’s body” and how to dismember a body, according to two law enforcement sources briefed on the investigation...."

"His trip to Home Depot – in which he wore a surgical mask and gloves and paid in cash – was made during the time he was allotted to pick up his kids from school, which was not open that day, the affidavit states."

So did he also dispose of her during his "alloted time"?...possibly when he was alloted to take them to school?
