In response to this article. 1. I have been pulled over for it. 2. There is information that he was pulled over for expired tabs.

I am really torn on this case. I don't feel it as clear cut as some, not by a long shot.

Same here. If I have everything correct:

She pulled the guy over.
He had no identification
She found out there was a warrant for his arrest because he failed to show up for a concealed weapons hearing.
They tried to cuff him
He wriggled away and started heading towards where the glove compartment was, and possibly a concealed weapon. He had been told several times to cooperate and he wasn't.
Another officer was leaning inside the passenger seat.
She legitimately believed she was holding the taser.
She shot him. In my opinion if she had shot him on purpose I'd still be on her side.

We're talking about a man who refused to identify himself, most probably, because he knew there was a warrant out for his arrest. The warrant was for carrying a concealed weapon which would put me on high alert legitimately.

I would not be comfortable at all with how a man, who skipped a hearing for carrying a concealed weapon, fighting against arrest and going towards his glove compartment. I probably would have done the same thing.

It is ridiculously been reported as a case of racism. IMO, that couldn't be further from the truth. George Floyd: YES, Ahmaud Arbery: YES. Given the stuff I've mentioned above I think a white person would have been handled similarly. It bothers me when cases like this are lumped in with racism. It dilutes the ability of prejudiced people to admit that George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery were racism based.

I feel as you do on all of the circumstances and feel she had the right in the circumstances to shoot with either weapon but I also can see by the letter of the law where some may look at it otherwise. This was a rapidly changing set of circumstances with unknowns imo. She has no bad career record and never harmed anyone with a weapon before.

Did she pull him over? I thought another officer did. Also I believe he tried to drive away as well didn't he? No license, no registration, no insurance, resisting arrest, a warrant... I'm not saying he deserved to die as no one does but I am saying he was part of the situation as were his actions.

The jury has spoken and I respect that but I think the charges in this case were overkill in the circumstances. This was no Chauvin case, that case is very clear cut to me. I know one thing, it is going to become far harder to recruit officers I think.

In my opinion she was horrified by what she had done. But for his refusal to cooperate with law enforcement he would be alive.

There was nothing testified about him going for the glove box

The bodycam video shows she was clearly upset afterwards however we cannot blame a victim for an officer's 'mistake' in grabbing the wrong weapon.

She is guilty per the jury & we have to accept their verdict.

MSM has pushed the narrative of racism with this case however I, like you, don't believe that was a factor in this case.

I don't think it was racism, either. What is concerning to me is that officers carry their gun on their dominant hand side. IMO, that would be more likely they pull out their gun.
