What the heck? I mean this is promising, maybe there is hope for her which would be the best thing! I am sure LE can run the plate and car and already has and knows who owns it? Are the people missing? I notice they also don't say "may" have information but "have" information.

I had the thought of wondering if they put this out, the people see it, and then they are watching to see what they do, where they go, if the child is around...? If this were me and I heard this, I would go straight to law enforcement if I did nothing or it is a lie by a parent or something. If I had something to do with something, I would probably get on the move... (although I would never be in that situation).

Seem like they are covering up. And didn't want to get caught. But the Mother is telling on herself by telling different stories.

or they don't know where the people are that belong to it and are asking for the public's help in finding the vehicle to see who is driving it and if there is any sign of a baby being with them without actually identifying the people in case this is a bad lead. That way if they have nothing to do with this, they won't be vilified by the public.

All really good points. It reminded me of Casey too. So a false story but they are showing they are pursuing it to cover all bases and prove the lie, etc. She or he could have picked the plate out of a Walmart parking lot. Do you notice the year of the car is given even?

It is also a good point that not naming people would not vilify the people if not involved.

LE knows plenty about it already and if the plate matches the vehicle and probably owner's name and address.

Cassidy said he is considering the date Evelyn was last seen to be based on when a babysitter last saw her, which was Dec. 10 or 11.
