I'll try to update this as quickly as possible. This case is evolving rapidly and it appears the investigation is widening. Help appreciated with actual links as there are many.

This case involves alleged corruption in the millions of dollars.

Will she now claim innocence that her family could suddenly afford cars, vacations, jewelry and real estate?
I doubt it. Well, I dunno. Maybe? Lol.

She used those credit cards way too much to claim innocence. JMO

I'll tell ya what I'm wondering. I'm wondering if she knew about his latest affair. He spent a LOT of $$ on that side piece.

Jamey Noel investigation: Attorney for John Miller requests felony charge be dismissed

A Clarksville police officer and Clark County councilman charged in the Jamey Noel investigation is asking a judge to throw out the case.

An attorney for John Miller filed a brief in Clark County Circuit Court Thursday asking the state of Indiana to dismiss the felony conflict of interest charge against him. Miller is accused of accepting at least 20-25 free meals from Noel, as well as concert and plane tickets, and then voted on several funding requests from the Utica Township Volunteer Firefighters Association.

In a motion filed Thursday, Miller's attorney argued the evidence doesn't show how Miller directly benefited from the contracts he voted on as a councilman.

Miller pleaded not guilty and posted a $3,000 bond in August.

State asks judge to hold Jamey and Misty Noel in contempt

New court documents filed on Wednesday have asked a judge to hold both Jamey and Misty Noel in contempt of court.

The state sued the two in an attempt to regain money it said was illegally spent.

According to the court documents, the Noels violated Court orders when they failed to make payments on their house in Florida.

The court granted the state an injunction that freezes the Noel's accounts and forbid them from selling or doing anything that could harm their properties.

But the injunction did give the Noels access to funds to pay their bills and maintain payments on their properties.

The documents said the Noels are four to five months behind on their mortgage at the house in Florida which has caused the value of the home to go down.

Misty filed for divorce from Jamey on Aug. 1.

The Noels are scheduled to be back in court for a hearing on their civil trials on Nov. 13.

So, on Monday I believe, it came to light that Misty and Kasey are in plea deal talks.

I realize I'm getting over a really bad cold and run down and emotional, but all I feel is sadness over what's to come Monday. These are real people with real pain that are going to face Jamey Noel and let him know what he's done to them. He and his family destroyed so much, stole so much, and here we are. He's going to prison and leaving an untold number of us just shredded. :(

Indiana to return vehicles, airplane seized in Jamey Noel investigation

Indiana will return 10 cars and a small airplane seized from former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel to the Utica Township Volunteer Firefighters Association.

The state confiscated the items during a criminal investigation into Noel, who used department funds to purchase them.

Last week, a judge accepted Noel's plea deal on charges including corruption, theft, official misconduct, tax evasion, and money laundering, sentencing him to 12 years in prison.

Noel's wife and daughter still face charges, with their trials postponed.

Attorneys for the Indiana Attorney General's office, New Chapel EMS and Jamey Noel's family members announced their plan to sell several properties and cars Wednesday. Jamey Noel has been ordered to repay $3.1 million in his criminal case, and millions more could be due in civil cases.

Wednesday's court hearing opened by Judge Roger Duvall announcing that "Justice Davis," a former justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, has been chosen as the mediator in this case. The parties will now go through Davis to agree on how much money to pay back.

Bart McMahon, Misty Noel's attorney, said both sides have agreed on a realtor in Naples, Fla. to sell the home jointly owned by the couple. Larry Wilder, Jamey Noel's attorney, asked the court to make him Jamey's "commissioner" to sell his assets while he is serving a 12-year prison sentence.
