Got my Masters degree from here. :(

Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

I'm not seeing where he recorded it??? The page is not acting right for me though and I might have given up before I saw it, but didn't see where he recorded it, just that the "remembered" it after posting on fb(?) about not hearing anything.
I saw it on one of those videos by the man named Mel and he found it in another channel. This morning I saw somebody say on Twitter that it was a total hoax. No wonder law-enforcement has come out warning people about spreading nonsense.

I know what you mean but short of someone really acting odd or someone who should show up avoiding it, how would they know who was the perp? How would the parents OR LE know? I know we hear all of the time how they will go back to a scene, to a grave, insert themselves in an investigation, go to a funeral and that is all well and good but it sure doesn't mean they will be able to determine who at the funeral is the one. I think it is a bit out there to think that really happens that often. I think more often is someone who is not grieving like a wife who killed her husband or had something to do with it having a pool party (Lori Vallow), a wife who killed her hub showing up with a new boob job (think there was a case like that), someone shortly after appearing with a new love or moving one in, etc. and even then all it does is raise eyebrows, it isn't evidence.

In this case, there are a ton of Js alone who all would probably attend if they faced it with the talk of them all. It is already which one is it and at the funeral I think it would be the same. Unless of course one showed up in a Hyundai with blood stains on or in it...

It isn't really I don't think that common they nail someone or even get onto them from a funeral.

Justice is paramount I agree and we felt that but what felt even worse is nothing was about HER, the victim. Not her funeral, not her being taken off life support, nothing. Well it was, but he overshadowed it all. Let the family have what they need in making it about the murdered victim and not wondering if they are hugging the perp or thanking him.

What I will say though is even then I guess, it isn't all about the victim. I think you know we waited as NEVER for three plus years was anything not overshadowed by him. When he was finally sent away, we laid her ashes to rest and buried her. And it absolutely ate away at us over those years that we could but couldn't as we wanted it about HER. At least that ONE piece, that ONE part.

I do get what you mean and the line of thinking. Cops either have a clue though or they don't and if they don't, I don't think attendees at the funeral would be the lynch pin or even necessarily provide anything for a lead.

Jmo though. Love ya even if we disagree.
It has happened that the perpetrator has attended the funeral of their victim. No one recognizes them and they wonder. But didn't approach them. Only to find out later it was the perpetrator. With ALL due respect your situation is different and all of you knew who was responsible. That piece of :poop: He infuriates me. I completely understand the sensitivity to this for you. But in this case they need to do everything possible to try to catch them. It sure seems that it is still ice cold still. I love you very much my friend. 💖🥰:hugs::icare::catfight::bump:

Exactly. Like the game "Telephone". Something gets told and by the end it is completely different. Alot of people don't get the facts and believe rumors. And of course even though they are rumors I have seen, Like many of us have. Ruin an investigation.

LE in Idaho is definitely fed up with all the rumors and fake info being spread around, judging by their comments in the last week. They apparently are having to waste time debunking rumors, which takes time away from the investigation part.

100%. The rumors in this case are astronomical.

However, a LOT of this could have been avoided with clear and consistent communication from the start. Unfortunately, there's been so much inconsistency and back-and-forth statements that even when LE releases a statement, nobody takes it seriously because who knows! They could come back in a few days and change their mind again. So you have people outright ignoring things like "this car is unrelated" and "this person is not connected to this case".

That being said, people who are outright harassing and stalking people, just because they appear in a certain video or drive a certain vehicle or live in a certain proximity to the house or gave an interview, is uncalled for. Somebody's going to get themselves hurt. And then vloggers, tik-tokers, youtubers, etc. straight up making **** up to gain views. Ugh.

Exactly. While they have to follow every possible lead, The fake one they have to look into may cause an opportunity of a real one to be lost.

I guess they are too stupid to realize the damage they are doing and too selfish to care.

Didn’t they clear the hoodie guy at the food truck? Because I keep seeing people going on and on about him. And I don’t mean in a light way, I mean, downright accusing.

I'm breaking the habit, but every time I see the thread: Four students...

I always read it as For students...

LE has stated that Hoodie Guy is not believed to have been involved.
I do not understand why people keep going after him once LE had made their statement to that effect.
Him, and pretty much everyone else that we know about. This new guy that was recently arrested too.

'There's a lot of crazy stuff going on, but my husband had nothing to do with what happened up there,' the wife of James Curtis Leonard said Friday in an interview outside their trailer home in Moscow, just a mile from the scene of the quadruple homicide. 'It's not linked at all. This is really p***ing me off.'

Her husband, 39, is being held on $100,000 bail for Tuesday's alleged attack. Police have since declared that Leonard had nothing to do with the recent killings.

But that hasn't stopped the speculation.

Leonard's wife told DailyMail.com that her family is still facing online harassment, including from a YouTube personality who speculated about her husband's involvement in a video headlined: 'James Curtis Leonard! SUSPECT. Moscow Idaho,' which has garnered 19,000 views since Thursday.

'People on the internet are trying to pin the murders on him,' she told DailyMail.com. 'I had to get off that social media s**t.'

'I told police that we are tired of all the threats, harassment and allegations,' she told DailyMail.com. 'Our family has been in danger because of all these false statements being made on the internet.'

I guess he's going to get attacked more, Since he has already killed someone. They are going to hone in on him. It seems making up their own rules. I don't know the details. But you kill. There is no getting out. But there is crossing a line from LE. And sometimes I feel they aren't given enough leeway with a guilty party. At the same time I am sick of defendant's excuses, Whining about their rights when their victim was robbed of the right to "Life". From you.
