JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events
  • April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
  • December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
  • February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
  • February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
  • June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
  • July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
  • August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
  • September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
  • September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
  • September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
  • September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
  • October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
  • October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
  • October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
  • October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
  • Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
  • November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
  • November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
  • December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
  • December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
  • December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
  • January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
  • January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

Can't see it since I don't sign into FB but just on what it says here, can we assume Lori is with it enough to complain to Mark Means that they are manipulating her? Hmm, sounds like her shrewdness is just fine if she can pick up on manipulation by expert doctors, staff, etc. in her "health care" setting. I have a hard time sympathizing, let her stand trial and send her back to jail, problem solved.
 
Well, I know we all trust Nate Eaton of East Idaho News so sharing this. Still new things coming out I guess from the released info. This woman (haven't heard it all yet, just two minutes I listed to to see who it is) was married to Alex back in the day I guess (not Zulema)... I can't remember if I heard a hint he had been married before or not... Regardless, I know it is not something that is talked about so seems like this conversation with LE by her would definitely be brand new to us all. Here it is. I hope to watch/listen soon.

First time I've heard that Alex was married/divorced. This ex claims Alex was bent on baiting Joseph Ryan into a fight so he could kill him & claim self defense. When pushed for proof of reasoning behind it, none was clearly presented. Interesting ...

You watched it? I haven't had a chance yet. Yeah, I thought Alex was a bachelor, kind of a loner that way until Zulema although there was talk of him going out of country to be with "women"... Always assumed that was a certain type of women for lack of a way of putting it nicer...
 
Okay. I am only like 8 minutes into this video and I can already say everyone should listen to this one. Wow. I had heard speculation about Lori and Alex before and their weird relationship but this really says it AND she talks about the weird behavior of Lori's parents and all too when she was married to Alex. Not even close to done with it and already whoa...

Not sure this would do much in court, probably be like hearsay and not much evidence-wise but it sure is informational in knowing things about the players here and where Lori comes from and more... Assuming of course it is true and I don't see a reason to doubt her really. She kept journals even back then...

Wow. I am listening to the shall we just say sexual information about the family per this woman right now... Have yet to finish but already I am like oh boy...
 
OMG who ARE these people? I am 20 minutes in out of 27. This is a must listen to imo. I should not be surprised at some of this stuff with Alex. There have been hints but never quite known... But ALL of them... And this family thinks this is NORMAL behavior?

Just some heads up, Alex at like 24 was telling his wife he was a sex addict... He told her this while married and had sex while married with a 15 year old girl in TX, etc. He could not NOT have sex, etc. Alex and Lori's parents would talk about their sex life in front of the daughter in law and anyone and everyone in the family. Lori would wrap her legs around Alex's waist with Alex holding her in his arms and then he would jiggle and bounce her around simulating sex in front of his wife. Alex would touch Lori's breasts. EVEN when alone, Alex would go on to his wife about how hot his sister was... This wife thought the family was odder than heck and was bothered and Alex seemed to think she was off base and this was all very normal... As was his family...

Alex was excommunicated even way back then from the church more than once because of his sexual thing and breaking rules I guess...

I don't like and never have trusted Lori's mother and sister. I don't think I have ever seen the dad. While the one brother Adam and his son are or seem to be on the right side of this case, I imagine growing up in this family he had to experience and see these same behaviors by his parents and siblings??

Grandkids I am guessing were around this behavior?? I can't even imagine. I would never let children near these people if this is all true.

Anyhow I suggest listening to it but just a bit of a summary of some of it for those that don't get to it.
 
And what is it with this family and these people... This woman married Alex in Wyoming. They lived in Texas. They lived in Utah. They were in California. They were married and divorced in less than a year. We know Lori has lived in and been in several states. Melanie Gibb seems to have a lot of that too... Apparently the Cox family certainly has some of that...

These people/this family are LDS?? But very sexual and weird which goes against that doesn't it...? Strange, strange, strange...

I am finished now. I find her believable, I really wasn't left with much doubt and much of what she says just fits hints of things we have seen or heard...

She did say that Alex was only this way with Lori. She said he was not that way with his sister Stacy and that Summer was younger so she did not see it with her. BUT the parents are kind of whatever too so it is difficult to believe this strange family sexual dynamic was not in their lives, they certainly had to have witnessed it.

The other part is that Alex said he wanted to push Joe to where he attacked Alex so Alex could kill him and claim self defense. She now wonders if that is what he did with Charles, etc.

Sorry, it was just something that has me reacting so I figured why not share a recap of it while I listened to it...

Are newscasters etc. holding these recordings for release over time lol? Because I think we have heard it all and then here comes another one.

East Idaho News and Nate have certainly done a great job in this case from day one until now.
 
One last thing. Underneath this video on YT if you watch it, there is explanation. Chandler PD just released this it sounds like. East Idaho News had confirmed previously that Alex did have a marriage to a woman named Debbie in 1992. So there is some explanation typed beneath the video.

Just because you park in the garage, it doesn’t make your car turn into a garage. The same with religion, just because you go to LDS church doesn’t mean you’re following some/all its teachings. I know that’s kind of a crude analogy, but that’s all I’ve got this early in the morning.

That's a great analogy actually. It just surprises me the number of people. Alex and Lori are one thing but the parents' behavior, etc. I mean I guess they are married so it perhaps is not a "sin" but so open with it and descriptive of it (sex life) to anyone and everyone... Just surprising to me for LDS I guess...

Yeah, I don't know any practicing LDS that behave that way at all, and my Mom's family are all LDS.

The church has tried to draw away from Chad and Lori since this started coming out, not sure the deal about Chad and what you saw on Court TV but I think both Chad and Lori were actually practicing members, going to church, temple, etc.... I do wonder how many others we don't know about that were part of this yet part of the church... Not saying by any means all are whacky that are LDS (in no way do I mean that) but I wouldn't doubt there are a few more who dabbled in or joined these "Daybell" groups at times...

They had a copy of the letter sent to Chad Daybell last year telling him he was being excommunicated.

I just now ran across it, the Court TV thing saying it was new... I'll have to watch/take a look when I have a chance. I thought you were just talking about the fact the church kind of put some distance between this and the church some time ago...
