JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

I really think she's mentally ill.
She could be. I don't buy it but some think she is and that's fine. Rendering her human though I thought you meant jokingly, sorry if not. Why then didn't it render her human throughout and since she has been "fixed"? First sign we've seen of it and it's been some time and many hearings and day two of trial now. And actually we haven't "seen" it so a bit hard to judge how authentic her upset seemed..

Not that he claimed anything with sanity but Alex Murdaugh tried to fake emotion and no one bought it. We can't see Lori to know or render an opinion of real or fake grief. Has it even been said it was grief? Not that I've seen but of course I am just now home and know little other than catching up on this thread.

Whatever the case may be, she was released from the hospital and is fit to stand trial/restored and again this was some time ago.

She may have mental health issues but in that case, a lot of convicted people also probably would qualify in that respect. And there's a garden variety of mental health issues and scale as to degree, how treatable, effects each issue has...

She certainly functioned, planned, dated, plotted, flirted, connived, manipulated, lied and on and on most could go...

I lIke Lori Hellis, A lot. I watch her YT channel.

Nevertheless I'm not sure how she or anyone would know this. I don't think private med info has been shared or has it? There is so much in this case it is hard to recall at times. It certainly generally wouldn't be shared. Also she is just guessing that she was given something for anxiety and again who knows if that is the reason she is sleeping.

I watched someone else on another channel who I also like the other night who thinks she is schizophrenic--that she wasn't or maybe more that it was latent and never known and that the stress of taking care of JJ made it come out, caused a break, etc. She based it for on that she allegedly has schiz in her family.

So I guess without basis for any of this as far as I can see. The second one I mention has contact with people in Lori's family but even she said she THINKS. She is pretty certain in her own mind but is speculating and is not a psych expert nor do I believe is Lori Hellis. She is a lawyer.

Finally, the prosecution imo doesn't buy it. As they say this was about sex, control and money.

Since I will never keep up even thought today's recording is out, I am starting to watch Nate's summary. Only a few minutes in and he is making very impactful statements. He is not sensationalizing but he is being a Nate that I maybe have never seen and giving some horrid detail of the day's pictures and testimony etc. He also shares about Larry sobbing, what investigators had to go through sifting through dirt on their hands and knees searching for any part of these children, etc. He isn't whitewashing the horrid details.

He is impactul as I said and serious. Then he gets to Lori's upset and her being "emotional" and the request that she be allowed to leave and his voice turns sarcastic. That's all I need to even hear to know he wasn't buying it.

Anyhow I already recommend this one and here it is below. I will add that what it sounds like these jurors should have them being paid a lot more than they are being paid. They will never be able to unsee this. Nor will Larry. Nor the reporters or anyone attending.

I gather Lori just like Letecia is shackled to the floor during court.

I am five minutes in on this video and I have wet eyes. Nate has done such a fantastic job with this case and you can really see his heart felt pain from what he witnessed today.

Nate does say later on Lori was clearly upset and her face was all red but at no time is there any hint of whether that is from tears, rage, etc. and she came back that way.

Nate says some people said she was sleeping when she had her head down but he was told she was NOT sleeping, but kept her head down and did not look at the screen.

I don't now that they had any proof it was that Jeep did they? Other than Brandon's say so? Of course, the argument also is that anyone could have been driving it or in it as a passenger as well..
Brandon knew the vehicle as it belonged to Charles, who had bought it for Tylee, and so he knew the VIN. Brandon arranged insurance on all Charles' vehicles. He and Charles were good friends.

What is the reason for shackling her to the floor? Is this normal in Idaho courts?

Yes, I do know all that but knowing the VIN of Charles' vehicle doesn't match it to any VIN of the vehicle that had his shooter in it. He couldn't look at the vehicle's VIN when being shot at. He MAY have looked up the VIN to give it to LE or to then get a license plate and ownership, etc. to provide to LE. None of this proves it was THAT vehicle as far as making any arrest, etc., etc. Brandon may know or think it was but that again isn't really evidence.

Now if they for instance found any surveillance footage that would be different but again that's not going to corroborate the VIN. It might a plate though.

I guess my point is they don't have enough to bring charges or so it seems and didn't back when Alex was alive either I'd think. Was Melanie with him as is speculated, etc. and is there proof Alex was in the vehicle?

As far as I know they don't have evidence of any of that.

Nate was saying it may just be the norm for all prisoners, etc. (Letecia Stauch is as well--Colorado case). It isn't normal where I'm at and I don't think it is the practice everywhere by a long shot.

Nate went on to say he didn't notice Lori was shackled until today. They couldn't tell during jury selection of course being in the overflow room and he didn't notice yesterday so he was unsure if she was or if something happened that they started it only today...

I am assuming he also saw the licence plate and therefore knew the VIN too. The vehicle was parked right outside his house as he drove up to his house and was then shot at. The bullet hit the car window surround and only just missed him. Then the car drove off. LE retrieved the jeep from Rexburg.

Well right as we are talking of this, I hit the point of Brandon's testimony where he is talking of this or about to and defense objects. Prosecution does say it is relevant as it is part of what got LE looking at other things, etc.

I am saying though as far as charging for this attempt on Brandon's life, there haven't been charges and I do think it is because it just isn't strong enough. However, his stating who he thought it was, getting it investigated, etc. was one of the balls rolling or that started looks at other things...
