Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

  • October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
  • October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
  • October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
  • Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
  • November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not

Tylee was never seen with any proof they can find since Yellowstone. I guess it does not mean she was killed there but she likely was on that day or in that area. And on its own I remember thinking maybe one would not think it was such an odd trip but then we find out all of the dates, other deaths, Alex's involvement in other deaths or so it looked and more and it was all in the same time period. LE has to have more video and proof than the public knows because Tylee was apparently seen entering the park I believe with the family but never seen leaving I think is what has been shared with the public. But LE has never shown or said there was video of JJ, Alex or Lori leaving either but they don't question that so my guess is that there is video without Tylee they have of the other three departing? I so wish I was familiar with Yellowstone although I know we are talking about tons of acres, etc. but as far as standard entry, parking, etc. cameras. I mean this was a few hour day trip wasn't it so it isn't like they would have a camping permit, etc. and go way, way in.

I think they probably used the "child related communications" exception - "In a criminal or civil action or proceeding as to a communication relevant to an issue concerning the physical, mental or emotional condition of or injury to a child, or concerning the welfare of a child including, but not limited to the abuse, abandonment or neglect of a child."

I've heard that is the only time when you don't have marital privilege. I don't know if that stretches state to state or not? I'm just glad it works here. Not that he'll say anything.
 
Grandmabear has tried to give me some details about this case because I didn’t follow it from the beginning and ever time I looked at it, there were more players and deaths, etc than I could keep up with. So many varied points of interest.

I will try to read more about it and keep up. I hope LV is just hiding those kids somewhere, which is cruel enough in itself. It sounds like they aren’t alive though.
Her son, Colby appears very credible and must be heartsick. I mean, that’s his mother. I just don’t understand her dismissive nature.

I miss you! Her oldest son most definitely is the most believable I feel in this case. Kids can never at times even as adults see through their parents or siblings but he seems to know. The twists and turns and people are hard to keep up with as are keeping relationships straight. You asked me the other day and even though I know the case, I got it mixed up in Tylee and Colby on which marriage. Both last names are Ryan however.

I hope too she hid them somewhere but I find it hard to believe because everyone else around them is dead.

Bringing this forward. There may be additional info since I posted it in the first post. But in DECEMBER 2018 they made their first appearance on a podcast together. So they had to have known each other before that, I'd think.

This is so hard to understand. Killing your two kids at all is crazy, but because some guy says they were taken over by a zombie? He would be the one to disappear on my list!
Lol. Not funny at all. But don’t mess with my kids. This cult of people are all nuts.

It was a great idea to bring this forward. @Oneofthem had not followed this case and by email a few days ago was asking me some questions about it trying to get up to speed. Explaining the marriages, events and people in this one is so hard. Even though I have followed it, I found myself having to check a couple of things regarding the ex husbands and fathers of Tylee and Colby, etc. I tried to give her info in not too big of doses at once because it is so unbelievable. I told her that even the news and Dr. Phil used graphs of the relationships and who each person was and how they were connected.
