JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
• June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
• July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
• August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
• September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
• September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
• September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
• September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
• October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
• October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
• October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
• October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
• Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
• November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
• November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
• December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
• December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
• December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
• January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
• January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

Just checking JLumFox10 Twitter in case we missed anything. I didn't know this for example.

When I got home last night, I went to watch some thing and hit the wrong tab I had up with testimony I hadn't finished listening to days ago of Mel G, etc. I don't think the half of what has been said and went on is here or even out there anywhere. Those attending are just hitting highlights and summarizing what they can each noon time or night time before going for another day. There is a LOT I haven't heard and in listening to testimony, realize that hasn't been shared either. That's what happens when people can't watch or listen live for one imo and reporters can't inform the people of all they have heard that day as it continues on.

Yes, I was thinking of Chad’s preliminary hearing. When I wrote grand jury, I was questioning myself because that information isn’t public.

It has been talked of though I think. The grand jury testimony, etc. There is so much these two did and so many details, it is impossible to keep it all fresh in one's mind imo. Same problem here.

Warwick didn’t believe Chad’s religious mumbo-jumbo. It’s spelled out in a post above on the website. I can’t remember exactly which crazy idea it was, I don’t know if it was about zombies or exactly what - off the top of my head.

He comes across as he didn't believe or maybe even like Chad but went along with things because MEL DID think highly of him and Lor. That's how it seems to me. BUT he is weird himself imo... Both he and Chad were "visionaries", wannabes if you ask me (Chad more so) of being a somebody in this weird world of visions, religion, books, etc. He said himself some odd things imo and he almost gushed over how good Lori was and her food and just herself... WEIRD.

How did the court become aware of the fact he listened to and looked up stuff? Did HE tell them or they find out some other way??

She’s no longer being shackledto the floor. I think they were just doing that in the beginning because they weren’t sure if she was going to jump up on the desk. She’s a nutcase!

They said they can’t determine the cause of death for Tylee, because of the condition of her remains. For the life of me for some reason I can’t remember hearing JJ’s cause of death? I know they know it. Have they disclosed it?

I don't think they have disclosed it.

As much as I detest Lori, in all the hearings, etc. she hasn't tried to flee nor jumped on a table, etc. She has been sneery, laughing, smirking and things like that but not tried anything as far as i've ever seen or heard but then would we hear it? Hard to say. We don't hear of her behavior in jail or anything else either. In the early days we heard a bit from other cell mates etc. but that ended and nothing since.

Here's another recording I found today. This is from Adam and is about Lori, Charles, Alex, Tylee and the Cox family. It's interesting background to Lori's beliefs and Charles' death. Adam says what you just said upthread - did they lure him in? Also, he says how did Lori and Lori's mum know about his and Charles' texts unless she had read it on Charles' phone. He says that she had Charles' phone for more than two hours after his death and had already spoken to their mother about it. He says noone told him Charles was dead although they all knew. It took a friend googling Charles' name to tell him what had happened to him.

Yeah I'm not fresh with it but I did hear Adam's talk of it. I think at some point Adam's son talked too if you haven't heard or found that one. All of these things and others lead to my thoughts on all. Lori knew her brother and Charles were talking and that Charles was saying she needed help, a mental eval, etc. I think she HAD to get his phone to find it all out and GET RID of such texts, etc. She knew from Janis something was being planned that way and that Adam, etc. was listening to Charles and believing it, etc. Charles death was planned imo. I don't know that a single thing went down as Lori, Alex and Tylee said it did or as to how it happened. I think Tylee knew a lot and was not a stupid child and could put things together (although of course I do think she was told just some or saw just some, not all, etc.) and told reasons for various events, things, deaths, etc.

Here's my simple (believe it or not) take on Charles' death. He had to go. And Lori had to get his phone to see what was on it and if it could destroy her, implicate her in anything, etc. and what they were saying, planning and what they knew. So the first thing up that day was getting the phone and once she had it, killing Charles.

I watched her show the other night where she talked of it. I believe her and believe BOYCE should be off this case. He is sadly typical of a county judge in this country in many areas. Flexing his little "power" if you judge his abilities, etc.

In fact I was going to link her show which was well worth watching. When I heard it was allegedly her taking photos (false imo), I immediately thought no way. She is professional, not sensationalistic and an attorney herself.

If he hasn't yet destroyed this case, he certainly has caused some damage. Imho.

It is interesting to hear and learn the vernacular from different areas. Like eating porridge. That is so unusual to me. Sounds old school to me as a term.

Realtor describes ‘dark, creepy, evil’ feeling in Lori Vallow’s Rexburg apartment, finding box with JJ’s name on it​

“The last place I went was into the garage and that’s when I saw that box with JJ on it,” he tells EastIdahoNews.com. “All of a sudden, it just kind of dawned on me and I’m like, ‘No way. This can’t be the place.'”
Robinson pulled out his phone and took a photo of the box but forgot about it over the years until Thursday when David Warwick testified during Lori Vallow Daybell’s murder trial.
Warwick described visiting Daybell at her apartment with Melanie Gibb, his girlfriend at the time, the weekend of Sept. 20, 2019. It was the first and only time he met JJ, Lori’s 7-year-old son. He was playing with toys and Warwick tried to interact with him.
“He had a cardboard box and was cutting doors and windows out of it – making a home out of it,” Warwick said during his trial testimony. “I got next to him and tried talking to him but … he was very focused on that and didn’t acknowledge me at all.”
Police say JJ was killed that weekend and buried on Chad Daybell’s property.
