JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
• June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
• July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
• August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
• September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
• September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
• September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
• September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
• October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
• October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
• October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
• October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
• Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
• November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
• November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
• December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
• December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
• December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
• January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
• January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

That makes sense. Straddling someone, Pinning their arms. Then suffocating someone with a pillow. Usually I've seen that in murder cases with autopsy reports like that.

This is one of the things that shows me the evil in Chad. I think many don't see it in his silent, formal way of just some wrongly accused man is his act imo and some guy led by some SIREN (gag). Tammy KNEW at her last moment/s imo how much he hated her and he took pleasure in taking her out. Of course it could have been Alex but I don't think so. And defense doesn't DARE place Alex there in their bedroom, there are too many problems with that as Chad sewed himself in with Tammy's death so they have to make hers the natural causes as he was the one present and if Alex was there with Chad then it places them BOTH in cahoots together. Then there is the sick fact that the locals just took Chad's word for what happened and that this woman died at this young age over natural causes and had NO AUTOPSY.

I'm sorry but these "KIDS" are failing their mother so very badly. And I don't care how led, controlled or how raised, they are NOT THAT STUPID. People HAVE cut them a lot of breaks but I'm seeing very little of it the longer it goes on and with this news any more. And they're all adults now. And dad controlling from jail?

I'd be impressed if a single one of them bucked up and did the right thing and grew up. I'm not saying they were part of things or knew but they CERTAINLY know and can look back and see some things including how they were raised and more about their parents marriage and so on with the control and dad's screwing around and so forth. Lori was NOT the first by all accounts.

Yeah and what coughing has to do with Tammy putting oil on a leg etc. I have no idea. These kids I can't imagine doing well on the stand especially when crossed. Of course we do have was it Emma who is good at sticking her tongue out at people when upset lol. I shouldn't laugh at them but COME ON. They all did that one interview which one could tell was entirely with rules as to what could be asked imo, etc. This is different, this will be a MURDER trial with cross examination they can't avoid or say no thanks, I don't want to play that game or answer those questions.

I don't think it is true Tammy had many "maladies". That word already I hate how Prior used it. There are many that can contradict on her health. And they HAVE to say she wouldn't seek out a doctor because THIS explains why it wasn't known, there's no medical records of issues and how she died young from some untreated, probably unknown serious health problem.

Imo these kids are going to lie for their dad. Or at least Prior purports they are. We will see. These kids or some were there LIVING on a property with the dead bodies buried and mutilated of their dad's gf and later new wife's children as was their mom. They need to get a FREAKING clue. I'm sure all at least were home for Easter let's say even if not residing.

I'm sorry but there's also NO WAY this marriage seemed good to them imo. Chad was not home probably much of the time and Tammy hard at work and handling all and this had to be obvious. Of course they all were likely under Chad's control and influence and always had been and his teachings on top of it. Who knows. Doesn't sound like Tammy ever went against him especially if her grandma had him tell her to do something or stop doing it.

Tammy's aunt was upset at this news of the kids and what they were going to say, you could see it but she pulled herself in and gave them the benefit of the doubt and held it I'm sure due to the case and the trial and not saying much more, and because these are TAmmy's kids and they love them (but clearly don't agree with them). If you get the chance watch that one or two minute part of Nate's. It's nothing huge but just points out again Tammy's health was fine or she sure was hiding a lot yet sharing it with all her young children? I don't think so.

Exactly. She was doing Zumba, she clogged, that is intensive exercise, maybe leg ached or paid for it once in awhile, IF EVEN TRUE. I've watched clogging in person with a like 70 some year old man doing it with the group, who amazed all, it is intensive. It has NOTHING TO DO with a coughing fit. Chad sewed self in somewhat with his story. It is not believable. His kids need to grow up. They already live a life without dad and have been for some years now. Mom is gone. WHY can't they see what almost the entire world sees? I guess a commandment is "Honor they mother and they father" but tthere's must have lost the word "mother"... They can't fail Chad, it is a sin, they are to honor him. But again they are NOT honoring their mother. I'm sorry but no more soft talk on them and if they EVER read anywhere one day, they need to be shook out of their ridiculousness and enter the adult world. And DO their mother JUSTICE by helping her get justice.

In a convoluted mess of many cases and people, the dots are very simple with Tammy's murder for the most part. Did they ENJOY their trip was it to Disney or Knotts Berry Farms on the life insurance money and the bit Chad gave each kid? All paid for by Tammy's death? Heck maybe they all knew more than we know, do they want people to start thinking that because their denial and I'm sorry stupidity has gone so far that I may start to wonder...

Very true. Yet Prior plays it more as if he was cleared in the other cases and couldn't have been involved. We know that's not true, they just don't have strong enough evidence to bring charges and necessarily win so they brought the ones they can that are very strong and put them both away for life. I think Chad knew every bit about the death of Charles and the plan and then Lori got upset with him after when Tammy had NOT died yet in their pact, remember that? ANd upset with Alex when he missed imo with what Tammy unfortunately thought was a paintball gun and a non personal attack or attempt...

Man Linda is on this one. She also did a recap of the day like Nate! She hasn't done this much in a long time. Here is her feed for the day and although I didn't get to watch all by a long shot yesterday, watching her and reading her chat was great as were her reminders and talk on breaks. She knows it inside and out, if anyone wants to watch all today on her channel. She brings up some really good points.

We, none of us, are ever going to see or catch every bit of this or things those point out or see.

For instance right now Linda is talking why Lori chose the apartment of the three that she did in Rexburg and how she chose the uglier apt which is not like Lori... Lol I didn't hear the reason but she was filling time when court was not in session this morning just now.

I think they are both consciously criminal, manipulative, evil, etc. but yes, if I had to pick, Chad has it over Lori and I think his surface hasn't even been scratched as to WHAT he is (not who but what). I do think there's a lot of Catch 22s here though and for both sides actually. Be careful the door and route you go or open. Like Prior putting Chad's kids up. That could backfire majorly....

Wasn't there an email sent to Chad that Lori faked as coming from Charles that Chad could show to Tammy as why he was to stay with them? Or am I misremembering that bit?

I see you guys have already addressed half the things I looked at this morning. This is one case where we all pretty much see things the same way for the most part.

I think of this a lot lately. Almost everyone agrees in several (like this one) and the same people may disagree in others and that just shows it's all case by case and no one feels the same or agrees with the same people in every case. In some, some small things may differ. Or details. In this one I do think Lori was well aware of all she was doing, how wrong and had entirely selfish reasons for same. BUT I believe Chad delivered to her what she needed and read her like a book. Pun intended. Prior wants to make it she beguiled and trapped and chased him but that's not it at all imo.

We may as well settle at what many do and that is that they were the perfect "storm" when both "storm" fronts encountered the other. It's the best explanation but I believe he is far more deeply evil. I dont' have the words. She is as well but he is a different type of fish. And I think it gets missed... And his surface is barely scratched as to who he truly is inside...

Anyhow trial back on so I'll leave it there so as not to get behind today.

I didn't even finish Nate's recap last night, did more than half. Then saw Linda had a recap this morning and watched that. And now trial is live. Lol. No way no how can I do or see all. Good points though in both Nate's and Linda's and things that aren't in print recaps plus aren't even in their highlights necesssarily unless you are someone who can watch every moment of the live. I've seen a mixture but not all of any. EAch had things others would not know as others saw things or read things I haven't caught up with. Argggghhhh. But what GREAT coverage in all mediums.

Well agree with what I'd heard a bit of yesterday. The sound is terrible. I can hear if I put my ear to two inches from my computer but I sure can't turn up and do another thing or lean back or unkink my neck or body and I sure can't do such all day. I think it was Nate last night I heard say the audio was better in the OJ trial in 1995 because they were news cameras and audio 30 YEARS ago etc. of news cameras was superior than what this court equipment has 30 years later!
