JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events
  • April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
  • December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.

  • June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.

  • August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
  • September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
  • September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school

  • September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
  • October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.

Memory is hazy but I think he worked with Means or helped Means. Two things say May of 2021 and now you have one SA'ing 3 years and 10 months so what is true is hard to say BUT the article you linked that said May of 2021, said as his "SOLE" counsel.
Yep so I think maybe they were on it jointly till May 2021 then Prior went solo. 10 months before then would be approx July 2020. When were Chad and Lori's arrests?

Another neighbor. I agree 100 percent with the last paragraph. It is about time...
11 June 2020 Chad was arrested. 3 years 10 months ago. So Prior has been representing him at least since then, I would think. Lori was arrested in Hawaii and extradited earlier.

I think Lori first had some attorney in Hawaii or public defender for that part. Then she had Means. Around or just before Chad as arrested Prior came on I guess either in helping Means or in Chad consulting him, I can't recall exactly but it wasn't immediately that Boyce told them it was a conflict to share one attorney, I recall that much.

I also don't recall but it has always seemed there are personal connections to these attorneys OR they at least were known to Chad and Lori or one or the other. Prior seems NOT to be LDS in the way he asks about the church and questions about it. So what did Chad ever need an attorney for prior in life and how did he know him? Just wondering. He didn't know him through church presumably. Or Lori with Means for that matter or vice versa. Both attorneys seemed/seem quite stuck and tight to their clients. Of course it is high profile and that gets many an atty acting that way but I think there's more to it here than that. Jmo.

It's complicated isn't it? Once the kids were gone and they were on long extended honeymoon in Hawaii having a wonderful time on Tammy's insurance money and the kids Social Security, with the world watching, they were caught. We have Nate and LE to thank for that. Remember the cash in the baggie that he filmed? I guess they both needed lawyers at that point, but Lori definitely as they were extraditing her.

They were both using that cash presumably to pay for the trip.

Very complicated with all the events and players and times and facts in these cases, yes, agree, and trying to recall all.

I personally think at that point there was a good chance they were going to flee the country. I don't think it maybe was their original intent but they thought theyd' get away with it all and when pressure kept building, the world was aware, they were being recognized, Nate showed up and found them, yeah, my guess is that was their next rushed plan but they didn't get that far.

There just aren't adequate words in language for these two or for that matter, this bunch.

And yes it was definitely Nate and LE. Thank goodness for both.

60 witnesses were called in Lori's trial and no defence witnesses. Any idea how many we have had so far in Chad's trial?
I don't know how many we've had so far but Nate said the number of witnesses in total was very similar to Lori's I believe and at least that many, thereabouts.

It just occurred to me that Chad said it was a miracle that he got all the passwords for the bank accounts about a week before Tammy died. So, I guess he got them just before the "paintball" incident right? That was on the 9th Oct.

Was the paintball incident around a week before? You know I'm surprised the prosecution didn't ask more about this? However, it isn't like they have Chad on the stand to ask. Or point out somehow the paintball incident was close to the same time.

I think the fact he had no access to bank accounts by PW etc. speaks volumes. And I can only wonder what he did that he got them a week before her death...He would have needed them no doubt after she died and so yes what a freaking miracle that was... ???

The "paintball" incident was Oct 9th, Tammy died on Oct 19th, so 10 days.

Here's a thought then, total speculation:

"Tammy, what if that had been a real gun and we'd have lost you? We need to think about these things. What would I do without you? Also what would I have to deal with? I'd need access to the bank accounts just to bury you, provide for the children, have you show me how to take care of such in such an event. Besides your grandma Lucille told me such..." A bit of sarcasm there at the end...

And don't forget "I need them before the next time I might try again" 😁

This is pretty good. Annie always puts on a well done show. They have someone in the courtroom. I'm about halfway through but have to go. They are doing a weekly recap each week and that may just come in handy for me if I hit a week I can't keep up with all by tweet or nightly summary, etc. Or even in addition as this is pretty good.

There hasn't been a question of that lately BUT Nate was told he was not the SOLE owner not long ago. I forget by who or if he shared who but he was corrected by someone in the know who called him on it.
Yes, that was in the back of my mind. Nate made it sound like he wasn’t the sole owner but Prior makes it sound like he is THE owner.
