JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

1580704661510.png

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Like I mentioned before, Adam and Rex's channel is going to be focused on helping people heal, and pretty sure Colby is doing the same. Nate once said he wasn't going to cover the Kohberger trial, but has changed his mind. I'm glad he did because I plan on following that trial closely and it will be nice to have him involved, though I really like the way Brian Entin has covered it, too.

Kay said in one of the shows, I think the one with Justin, that she hopes Lori loses her baby talk and learns to speak like a real woman when she is in prison lol. Thought I'd say that for anyone who didn't see it.

I did not entirely understand Lori stipulating to aggravating factors yesterday. I took it to mean she agreed to them which is not like Lori? I just listened to someone who said this means she won't have to hear from the people who would help show the aggravating factors, one of whom he figured would be Kay.

I'm still so relieved over this verdict. I wasn't overly worried but a lot of people were in it because the jury didn't have all of the information we did. It does go to show yet again that juries are smart and take their jobs seriously most of the time. I know we've seen an aberration or two over many, many years but mostly they get it right if the case is there and the prosecutor does their job.

I'm relieved for the family of Charles. I'm relieved that juries see and can put together circumstantial cases. It was said that two were on the fence until like the last day. The texts were crucial as was wrapping it all together I believe. Many viewers I think also were on the fence until that day as to whether it was being proven.

I wonder how Brandon's will go in comparison. I suppose also they will have to keep out any other case? Can they bring in Charles because that is before right? Brandon is alive to testify so that should help and they do have the video of Chad and Lori doing was it the tire and seat of the Jeep at the storage unit? I suppose maybe he will be able to testify too to how Mel B/P was falling for Lori's stuff, turning against him, and so on.

One thing I noted in chats throughout this trial is tons of people are upset that others haven't been charged, like the Mels. And that Chad hasn't been charged with more or this one, etc. or Brandon's.

Just trying to sort my thoughts and process I guess. Some people journal, I type lol. It helps me sort them, then feedback does too.

My biggest takeaway is juries. I feel they get it right probably 99.9 percent of the time. I hope it stays that way and on one ever decides it is not a serious thing to do in life. So much else HAS changed. I feel we almost need two or three different trials to be safe on someone staying in prison these days and that's sad. They release people that should never be every time we turn around it seems like.

The way I look at it is most DAs do not like to charge unless they have more than a solid case and evidence. Therefore, MOST things that go to trial, the evidence is already there. That makes for a GOOD case if the prosecutor can get that across to a jury. And as I've said most juries are smart and take the job seriously. I do think they compromise sometimes when there is more than one thing to choose from and if they don't easily agree. We ended up with second degree when to me it was clearly first degree but they had that choice.

There is a lot I gripe about about our system and in some states more than others as well, but I do trust juries and have faith in them.

My last comment or takeaway for now is watching Nate's viewer comments above. A lot of people were invested in this case and are happy with the outcome and that was just a sampling.

No, I have one more, go figure right, lol. She so thinks she can con people and she had her chance here and the evil witch got shown she doesn't have it, it didn't work, she could not flirt her way, lie her way, con her way through it. I AM GLAD she represented herself so she can sit with the fact she "doesn't have it". She is a has been and one that probably never got anyone if it wasn't weak people or with sex and being younger. I am also glad the jury WAS mostly men as that can sit with her too, that she was unable to fool them or baby voice her way into their hearts or wherever. That's another thing so many out there were worried about. Lol.

The comments? Most are ready for her to disappear into prison and to shut up just as we are.

ONE MORE TRIAL. I hope the judge and the prosecutor get a few days off. Not sure that they do but they deserve them.
I'm not saying either of the Mels are stupid, but I think they were both very gullible.

I watched them the other night and it sounded a little different than that, as if they are going to take crime cases and what families say if they can't get a member to talk to them and something on that order.

Colby has a good sense of humor as I've mentioned and while of course I hope he sticks to being a healing thing, I hope he expands it some to other things. He has done things like some movies, a bit on food, and I truly think a bit of variety would be good for him, and trying to help him move on some. Jmo though.

Yeah, I was surprised when Nate said that. I knew he was maybe considering it. I mean it is in their state where for this one he had to travel to AZ. And it is without doubt a big one. I don't know if he will cover until these are all over or if he will do some blips in between, do you? I mean he still has Brandon's trial in this one. I don't know how much I've seen of Entin although I know who Brian is. I always forget if he is with Law and Crime or News Nation, one of them isn't it?

You know, I've watched more of Justin in this trial than I had in some time and he brings different things than Nate and while in normal life I don't always have time to watch all or more than one, I did have some time this time.

Been a bit of a whirlwind with both trials and case news lately. Bad term for it but it's like feast or famine for lack of a better one. Either everything is going and active or all are quiet.

A number of other trials coming up fast IF they don't end up delayed. I think there was another one going on too but darned if I can recall which one. Not Daybell, not Read, some other one.

Anyhow, yeah, I'm not sold on Adam and Rex, I've touched on that before. Jmo though. I watched a lot of them in the beginning. And I credit Adam for his testimony in this trial, especially after hearing only 1 person on the jury was LDS, he described the story of Nephi which sounded as if that was a big thing to some jurors as to what it meant.

Not real into healing channels and ready for Lori to go away I guess. Will just have to see I suppose.

I'm not saying either of the Mels are stupid, but I think they were both very gullible.
Maybe. I don't know. I think there is a lot we may never know.

I will say this--back in the very beginning there were/was a lot of hints that Mel G actually was more a leader than Lori... Most people center on Mel B/P and she deserves that but Mel G to me is the one I suspect the most or even more so.

There are also hints each was involved in some things... And I mean murders, attempted murders, knowledge of murders.

They lie pretty slickly so is that stupid or gullible? Not trying to argue but I guess I don't really see them that way, neither of them.

It's been said they didn't feel they had enough. If we look at what it took to bring it all together against Lori herself, I think it is clear that Chad would be even harder. I do hold out hope though that perhaps later they might bring charges against him.
I believe if LE had done a thorough job in the beginning, Chad and Lori and Alex would all be serving time. Tammy and JJ and Tylee would be alive, living with other family members to care for them, Brandon would not have been shot at and Melanie Boudreaux would be in prison for the attempt on Brandon’s life, meaning she wouldn’t have duped Mr. Pawlowski into marrying her. A whole different world. If only.

OMG you have no idea how happy I am to see you!! Been wondering how you've been!

Yeah the ashes being "mailed" seems very cold to me too. Have known the transport of ashes in my life and it was considered very serious and sacred. My sister picked up my brother's. My other sister picked up my granddaughter. A friend of mine picked up her dad's. It was a VERY big deal in each case. You just SHIP them? I'm not sure I realized they didn't know they were coming, was that said? I watched the testimony but didn't pick up on that part but I sure can believe it. She LIKES hurting people.

Yeah, she belongs on death row. I was SO disappointed when that had to be taken off in the first trial--or she would be ON death row.

HOW have you been?? So nice to see you!!
Hi thanks. I missed everyone. Because I am older than before, and getting older in my mind, i forgot the name of Crimewatchers. I even googled crime sites and it didnt come up. I was surprised and gave up after awhile. I don’t know many here, just you and Kimster.

Yes, you can ship remains but who the heck doesn’t let loved ones know the remains are being shipped? That was so cruel and cold.

Just a minor note. Cremains are shipped a lot. My husband is a retired mail carrier. The packages are marked HUMAN REMAINS or something of that nature.
Yes and Kay said they were sent by fed Ex and Lori didn’t notify his two sons or Kay that they were receiving them. She just didnt bother to fool with their feelings at all or take the time to answer their calls. The sons were more involved in the beginning but were in Texas (or Louisiana) with their Mom.

It wouldn't surprise me and doesn't I guess. My point was most take it pretty seriously and go get them but I guess if states away it may be different. It sounds like though Kay didn't' now they were coming nor his sons and Lori didn't even notify of the death at first. Guessing Kay would have went to get them but who knows.

I can see where they would be shipped at times. I guess. So I guess not surprised it happens. I personally take such more seriously, it was a loved one and this is their remains whether body or ashes. If at all possible I think we'd see them not handled like some package...

My sisters were almost overstressed with the responsibility of getting them and bringing them home.

Everyone probably feels various ways but it is like when someone splits ashes, people have done that. I believe Colby gave Kay some of JJ's. I honestly don't know how i feel about that, as far as if I'd ever do it.

Yeah, I have actually a lot of mail carriers in my family too. Most recently retired. A sister, a cousin, another cousin. I'm probably missing someone, we had many where it was their career. Or actually worked at the desk in the PO. I've never talked to them about this particular subject though.

I can see the practicality of it I guess sometimes. Pretty sure though in my family if possible someone would go get them. And take it pretty seriously.

Interesting subject, if a bit of a hard one.

I think point is though Lori just was here you go...
Yes Charles’s ashes were split three ways, the two boys and Kay. Kay had custody of JJ and shared ashes with Colby. Tammy was buried so no ashes. I think lex was cremated after his autopsy but not sure.

I agree. Imo they at LEAST had enough to hold and charge Alex who was the "hit man" apparently. While they turned him or built a case against Lori

FYI, Nate will cover Kohberger and Brandon’s. I cannot watch Kohberger. Just lock him up.

PHOENIX — Lori Vallow Daybell has been found guilty of conspiracy to commit the murder of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow.

A jury of 10 men and two women reached the verdict Tuesday afternoon following a seven-day trial in Maricopa County, Arizona. The verdict was read shortly before 4 p.m.

Maricopa County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Treena Kay argued Daybell conspired with her brother, Alex Cox, to shoot and kill Vallow at her Chandler home in 2019 so she could collect money from his life insurance policy and marry her then-boyfriend Chad Daybell, a Rexburg author who wrote several religious novels about the end of the world.

Daybell, who isn’t a lawyer but represented herself during the trial, claimed the shooting was in self-defense. She didn’t call any witnesses or put on any evidence during the trial, but did cross-examine many of the prosecution’s witnesses.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.

Lori is not a lawyer but played she one on TV.
However, she likely stayed at a Holiday Inn once with chad, so there’s that.

I had Nate on, then I went to Colby, then Scott, then back to Nate. Chats were going so fast in most. I loved this judge but I did not agree with the five minute verdict delay. Every site I was on people were saying not to spoil it with the news before we heard it and in every single one they did. I really do not get the need for a 5 minute delay on a verdict. It isn't testimony, not like anything should go wild or have to be deleted.

I AM happier than heck it is guilty but I would have preferred to hear it as it unfolded. Instead of people in chat telling it ahead of time.

Now why does she NOT just give UP on Brandon's? She folded to the aggravating factors in this one.

A GOOD DAY THOUGH. JUSTICE FOR CHARLES. FINALLY. My faith in juries remains.
I hope she doesn’t plead on Brandon for different reasons. And I hope she is her own lawyer again. It shows her for the evil person she is. Brandon will confront her. He needs that closure. He needs a group of 12 to say she is guilty. He needs justice. She manipulated his wife. She and Chad told Melanie two of her kids were dark. I mean, this guy was destroyed. And Lori and Chad wanted his life insurance money. Yep, she needs to face a jury on this one too.

I haven't seen him in person on anything I've watched. Brandon. I thought you meant an interview or something but when i saw the statement I thought well, there's that at least, so shared it. I sometimes get irritated Nate separates out some things lol but it has its benefits too I guess.

You're welcome! I try. At times. LOL.
Brandon may have been told to lay low until after his trial.

I don't believe Mel G is gullible. She is as guilty and evil s Lori. I also think she wanted Chad. IMO. She knew a LOT!

If only.
Agreed.

Yeah, I still have trouble with Chandler dropping the ball. I mix up Chandler and Gilbert at times. I have all else straight except those two.

I can't disagree or argue that LE was not on the ball here. Until SO much had happened elsewhere.

I don't know WHAT I think of Ian Pawlowski though. That is all weird in and of itself. He recorded stuff but then TOLD Melanie didn't he?

EXACTLY. I'm not sure she wasn't with Chad before Lori. I don't get it, he is such a TOAD. Sorry to anyone who hates that comment but he IS. I guess falling for him alone IS GULLIBLE.

Agreed. But, who would marry her after not knowing her long and meeting her crazy family? Says something about his character, too.

That cracked me up lol. I NEEDED a chuckle. So glad to see you back here!

A TV lawyer, a Wheel of Fortune contestant, a beauty pageant queen, a body builder competitor. Her last hurrah I guess on TV.

Holiday Inn, LOL.
