JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

She believes so wacky stuff, so it kinda makes sense. As @Kimster just pointed out she may have delusions of grandeur and may be insisting on taking the stand so she can lecture the jury on her wacky theories.
Oh I believe she is sitting in her cell reading Chad's books (gag) and saying things to guards and others about WHO she is, etc., I don't doubt it. However, that does not mean she does not know exactly what she is doing or that someone observing such a thing means she is incompetent.

She told Charles she had "powers' etc., and then when questioned by police knew enough to act as if Charles was the one losing it, and he made it up and she has no such strange thoughts or odd behavior, etc.

I know even those mentally ill can be cunning but I guess as I said, my opinion is both she and Chad know very they are not "omnipotent" or "special", they just want others to believe it. They know exactly what they are doing imo. Again, it is just my opinion but I can't shake it. Greed, power, control and $$$$ and a child free fun lifestyle. Even though the world was to end last July and they needed to get 144,000 and do a tent city somewhere near Rexburg, as they needed their minions to believe, the beaches of Hawaii beckoned to Chad and Lori...

I want to know why Lori is incompetent and Chad is competent. They share the same beliefs, amiright?

Great point, I love that.

I wonder what he thinks of his wife being incompetent, is he worried about her?

I was thinking that so many out there thinks he will turn on her, turn it on her, abandon her, etc. to save himself and yet it dawns on me that neither to our knowledge has filed for divorce. Why not? Especially with him, if he has some money left (debatable) and wants to protect it... He also has living children. There is that entire husband/wife thing and testifying against the other...

Yeah, there's no way either of them should get a divorce. They'd be doomed if one testified against the other. I do see Chad sniveling his way out by blaming her before I see her doing the same to him, though.

I agree and of course they will also try to blame Alex however the charges were crafted in such a way and require that none of the three has to be "the" one who did it, or that it does not matter which was, they just show that all communicated, encouraged, had part in, knew about, etc. makes them guilty. So even if Chad tried that, they have for instance, I think, he and Alex communicating, etc. re Tammy...

Not necessarily, in my opinion. I see him as the creator of a very dangerous RPG. I see her as one of the players addicted to it.
You mean role playing game with RPG? I have my opinions but I have to say that anything is possible, I sure don't dismiss other opinions. I do have trouble believing Lori does not know exactly what she is doing. Of course that does not mean she could not be addicted to the game, get a rush from it or a feeling of control. We have seen them and heard a lot about them but never really have seen them have to talk at length or answer questions after this all happened so it is all just guessing I suppose.

There are videos though to judge some things by prior. Lori at the home when Charles was killed, Lori and Mel G. and Tylee at the PD when Charles wanted her to have a mental eval, etc. With Chad there are his books, etc.

It is certainly a case like no other. Imo.

 I wonder if I'd qualify as one of the 144?

Mark Means I guess filed a contempt motion against Melanie Gibb. She did not respond to his subpoena. Even though I think we/most agree his subpoena was too broad and invasive, I would still think she would have not ignored it and wrote a letter to the judge stating her objections to it or something to comply with time limits, even if not using an attorney to do so.

Some may not be able to see this if on a phone or a tablet. It is in the comment section with the document on a Youtube channel. I don't have a link by itself to the actual court document but it is shown here. It perhaps can be found in the court access, I have never done Idaho's so I don't know.

State of Idaho v. Lori Norene Vallow aka Lori Norene Daybell

Wpw. Thank you. All documents from all cases re Daybells. It is under their original case, not the top two/newer charges for anyone looking.

11 pages, wow for a contempt motion on a subpoena. Last document in case ending in #0838 Vallow.

MG As an attorney, doesn’t she? If not she needs one. I have a sneaky feeling they’re trying to pin this on her and Alex.

I don't know but I will say as you know, that I think she is not as uninvolved as she would like us to believe. I do agree that the subpoena was beyond anything I have ever seen for burdensome, maybe overly invasive for a witness, etc. He also gave a short deadline to produce a massive amount of info so I think arguing it would have probably been to her benefit. I doubt she will be in big trouble but ignoring a legal deadline I don't think is probably wise without at least responding to the court and attorney. It kind of smacks of, or seems to imply she thinks the laws don't apply to her. And that makes me think of Lori. The same type of thing is said about Lori's family...
