Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

I don't know but I will say as you know, that I think she is not as uninvolved as she would like us to believe. I do agree that the subpoena was beyond anything I have ever seen for burdensome, maybe overly invasive for a witness, etc. He also gave a short deadline to produce a massive amount of info so I think arguing it would have probably been to her benefit. I doubt she will be in big trouble but ignoring a legal deadline I don't think is probably wise without at least responding to the court and attorney. It kind of smacks of, or seems to imply she thinks the laws don't apply to her. And that makes me think of Lori. The same type of thing is said about Lori's family...
I still want to know how many criminal cases allow for this sort of discovery information to be required of witnesses. It doesn't seem right to me at ALL.

That is another reason I would like to see her contest it and not just ignore it--to see what the judge has to say about such a thing/request/demand in the first place.

I want to know why Lori is incompetent and Chad is competent. They share the same beliefs, amiright?
There is a difference between being competent to stand trial and being not guilty by reason of insanity. To be competent to stand trial you have to understand the nature of the charges against you and to be able to assist in your own defense, among a couple other things. It has to do with her state of mind now as opposed to at the time of the crime. If the attorney can't work with her and get facts out of her due to her constantly prattling off her insanity, then she could be found incompetent to stand trial until she is restored. A psychologist can evaluate whether she's faking As well. I'm sure she's being dosed up with meds as we speak.

My bet is she is faking .

I don’t think she has an immunity agreement, but who knows. But *if* she does could that be a reason she doesn't feel compelled to respond?
Good point. I think actually she may very likely have one or at least some type of deal with terms she has to abide by, like testifying in the trials of Chad and Lori. Of course there is no hint of it nor has anything been said to indicate she has one. Just a few things make me think she may have one... It would explain her not responding and I believe it was said she would not accept the service of the paper and I believe she said something about Rob Wood or that she would call him or they should call him. Well if she had a deal, he would be aware of it and involved....

What does he think he is, a doctor or mental health expert? This is ridiculous imo. Wants to know what care, what they give her, what treatment, can't trust the experts/doctors but he is one or something? Oh well. Typical Means.

And mental, physical and emotional abuse for years as if she is some long term victim. If true, I doubt it was long term/lifelong, etc. From everything we see/know, she is the one who put husband's through he77. It also sure did not stop her from victimizing children and many others.
