JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

What does he think he is, a doctor or mental health expert? This is ridiculous imo. Wants to know what care, what they give her, what treatment, can't trust the experts/doctors but he is one or something? Oh well. Typical Means.

And mental, physical and emotional abuse for years as if she is some long term victim. If true, I doubt it was long term/lifelong, etc. From everything we see/know, she is the one who put husband's through he77. It also sure did not stop her from victimizing children and many others.
She’s not a victim at all. She’s a black widow.

@GrandmaBear , are any of the YouTube attorneys following this case taking questions that you know of?
Scott Reisch covers Daybell. He hasn't had many lives lately for questions that I have noticed and has been busy I think. He has remarked on Means more than once and his antics though. I know with the subpoena to Melanie Gibb he called it burdensome I think, too little time allowed her, too much asked for or way over the top (paraphrasing) and she could probably get it quashed but apparently she chose not to even respond, personally I think she should have but she did not. He would be a good one to ask on this recent stuff if you can catch him live taking questions. My guess is he would say what we see all of the time, a judge, etc. is not going to come down too hard on the defense, appeals, don't want the case overturned, want a conviction, etc. without claims of it being unfair to the defendant. :(

How about rule 1.14 item # 10?
*(not sure since this falls under emergency legal assistance, however I could be wrong)

[10] A lawyer who acts on behalf of a person with seriously diminished capacity in an emergency should keep the confidences of the person as if dealing with a client, disclosing them only to the extent necessary to accomplish the intended protective action. The lawyer should disclose to any tribunal involved and to any other counsel involved the nature of his or her relationship with the person. The lawyer should take steps to regularize the relationship or Normally, implement a other protective solutions as lawyer would not seek compensation for emergency actions taken.

If she's not able to participate in the preparation of her trial, how can she be competent enough to authorize what her attorney says in public in her behalf? Sounds like we're going to be hearing from ole Lori Daybell for years to come, if you ask me!
Great point. Cannot understand her charges or participate in her own defense but it does not apply when she chooses to stay with Means as an attorney or have him speak on her behalf and how do we know it is what she wants or said? I mean really, how can they know she knew what she was doing keeping him even? That is such a great point and food for thought...

Anyone playing a system finds and uses every loophole or game. And they sure do exist.

I am still burning over the word "fragile" to describe that evil being. Life is fragile, her children's lives were, Tammy's was, etc. and she cared less and messed with and took their lives anyhow. She is the word I never say and even far worse.

She was so "fragile" that she hosted a pool party on the afternoon of Charles Vallow's death!

Good for him! I like his reporting.
Me too. He went so above and beyond too in a day and age where you don't see much of that anymore or the budgets for it. I mean going to Hawaii. When the kids were about to be found, he got a hold of a helicopter because they were not letting anyone else near, then there were his interviews with Melanie Gibb, and more. Just great reporting. That sit down with Justin Lum and was it their assistant or camera men on this case, that was an enjoyable video to watch.

Yes, he has done well, and he is far from finished since this case appears to be going nowhere fast.

He also does those feel good giveaway Christmas videos to deserving people, etc. I know I am quite impressed with him :)

So Scott Reisch had a not too long video, they are on vacation in Turks and Caicos, boy that beach looks inviting, I can only wish...

Anyhow, the way I understood it, this latest thing by Means is not even applicable for lack of a better word. Everything is my words, my understanding so this is all paraphrasing: First, he doubts the judge has any jurisidiction over the hospital or facility Lori is getting treatment in or any say over it and Means certainly does not either but the judge can't order the hospital to do anything. Second, such a competency eval/treatment more or less puts the proceedings on hold and she is not competent to proceed so Means has no reason nor right really to see her or talk to her about the case, etc. It is like limbo/everything is on pause until she is better. And attorneys do not go see clients in such situations nor are involved in their care, deciding it, knowing about what they are doing for her at each moment, etc.

So now imo, from what Scott said, I don't know then if his filing this is unethical necessarily but it certainly is not knowledgeable as an attorney and certainly just a waste of the courts time yet again handling or addressing something he filed which has no basis. As an attempt at a half arsed joke, who is really incompetent here? Her counsel sure is not experienced or at least plays the clueless to criminal proceedings card...

Since Scott is on vacation, there won't be a live from him until next week so if anyone wants to ask about this and hope to get responded to, that would probably be the earliest possibility.
