JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
• June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
• July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
• August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
• September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
• September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
• September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
• September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
• October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
• October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
• October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
• October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
• Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
• November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
• November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
• December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
• December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
• December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
• January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days

I'm not going to judge it overboard because maybe they want some happy stuff after just having to testify but the timing seems a bit whatever. I haven't seen them on YT in forever but perhaps it just wasn't coming up for me until now. I wasn't even sure they were together or back together. I'm happy they seem happy. I am writing this as I listen to it and he does sound like they haven't been on in forever which is what I thought as I've not seen them. THey are having a BOY, first two were girls so he/they are excited.

I used to watch their other shows back when and I went a bit both ways about a few things... ONe can grow up a lot in a few years though in their young years and one had to consider Lori was his mom and what he went through and probably didn't have a good base of understanding a true family life and/dor how to be a breadwinner.

Still listening and he seems to have grown up a lot and may be in a better place. I hope so. He did a great job on the stand yesterday and in handling Prior as well.

Yeah I get that but what was said was sounded like JJ would almost turn around and be right back be reincarnated as Colby's son and this is many years later. However, I agree now he'd use it to say SEE? I sure hope Colby and wife didn't know this sh*t because the timing of their announcement and this just coming out in court a couple of weeks later is like oh boy.

I don't think so though. They did a gender reveal on the other child (girl), actually I think there are two but don't quote me. I know there is one. I THINK TWO. and Colby was wanting a boy with the second. I am ALMOST positive this is number three. COULD be wrong.

And no, she was in town it was said by Z. And wasn't Z in AZ? Chad kept trying to get her to move to Rexburg (Z) but she resisted. That's what got me interested, this is NOT the Rexburg apartment of Mel P, it is her house. So out of state in AZ the two were doing a casting on Tammy when Chad, Lori and Alex expected her to die when Alex shot at her. And wouldn't that be huge PROOF of their having power....? But it failed.

Spooky but he is right about Colby. Shortly after he just recently testified, his wife revealed the new baby she is expecting is going to be a boy. A video is posted on here upthread a bit. I'll try and bump it.

I somehow missed this post until now. happens at times. Yeah, it isn't as quick as I would have taken Chad to mean JJ would come back but I find them announcing this with this timing a bit odd. YES I posted about their announcement, was right after Colby testified in this one but we hadn't heard the JJ coming back thing yet then...When I saw this video I put it down to Colby and wife wanting some good news as he had testified he probably hopes for the last time but he may have to in Charles too but I just thought it meant to be something good after all the bad. They had a channel through the years though off and on and did this reveal with the other child/ren. I THINK there are two girls. For sure there is ONE.

I just finished posting today's update. The last part of today was about Charles' murder. But the jury was told to disregard that evidence. Not sure why that evidence was heard, which implicated Alex and Lori. With Alex being implicated with his fingerprints in the JJ murder. Any ideas about this? Has Chad been charged with Charles murder as well as Tylee and JJ?

It's looking like Alex is right - it appears that he is the fall guy here. Is there any/ enough evidence against Chad for the kids murders? I think he is going down for Tammy's murder.

I just finished posting today's update. The last part of today was about Charles' murder. But the jury was told to disregard that evidence. They did similar in Lori's and some talking heads I think wondered if Boyce should have allowed such in but that judge is so careful it isn't even funny. I think he consults on everything and over the years has taken breaks or a day to have a motion to schedule another day to hear the motion to schedule another day to decide on the motion.

I think it was in Nate's show last night that someone in chat wondered if after this trial he might not be charged in that murder or Brandon's or something like that. Nate thought possibly but may have just been agreeing with a viewer and being nice.

I was watching it and then had to shut it off for a long realtor call, some day off. sigh. But I got the reason they were covering Charles and now I forget...

Darn it. There is a reason or part to it that plays in which I think is why it is allowed... I KNEW but am drawing a blank now. To do with the pattern or conspiracy or... Sorry it will likely come to me later. Usually does. Hopefully does.

Chad did not have to BE there for Charles for instance. Or Lori there for Tammy's. It was the PLAN.

And I think it has all already been shown in this case/trial and Chad is done for/sunk.

I don't believe in coincidences or too many of them for certain. It is a big thing in how I come to opinions in cases or one of them anyhow. And I think I said this way back when but feel the need to again, the fact Ian lived across the street in Rexburg basically from Lori, Alex and Mel P the Minnie Me is too much for me and then they marry in days and join Alex and Z who apparently had no romance prior as well... I do NOT BUY IT. NEVER HAVE. There's more to this all that we will never hear imo. Quickly was Ian recording and on some of Mel's calls recorded she knew of the recording... Whatever. Doesn't change how evil and guilty Chad and Lori are but just saying...

I seem to remember it was Alex's phone. Chad's would be there as it was his home anyway.

10:42 a.m. On Sept. 23 between 10:13 and 10:17 a.m., Chad’s device texted Lori. It also called Alex’s device.

10:40 a.m. The next slide shows activity on Chad’s phone the morning of Sept. 23 between 9:30 a.m. and 10:27 a.m. There were multiple calls and texts between his device and Lori’s device.

10:39 a.m. The next slide shows Alex’s device traveled north from his home to Rexburg toward Chad’s home the morning of Sept. 23. His device was in and around Chad’s property between 9:55 a.m. to 10:12 a.m. The device was tracked near the area where JJ’s body was found.

10:38 a.m. On the same day between 9:27 a.m. and 9:57 a.m., three cell phone towers near the Daybell residence picked up activity on the devices. A tower near Lori’s Rexburg house was also utilized for her device.

10:36 a.m. At 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 23, Chad’s device called Alex’s device. The call was 38 seconds.

2:07 p.m. Prior asks Martinez if plastic is a good conduit for fingerprints. She says yes – it’s a very good surface for latent prints because it’s nonporous. She was able to find Alex’s fingerprint and part of his handprint. Prior asks how many hairs Martinez collected. She doesn’t recall how many, but they are in her notes. Boyce allows her to look at her notes as a memory refresher.

2:06 p.m. No other fingerprints were able to be identified on the items she collected. She gathered the hairs and saved them for another person, as she doesn’t do hair analysis. Wood has no further questions.

2:04 p.m. The next print appears to be a palm, according to Martinez. We now see a close-up and analysis chart of the latent print. This print from the black plastic bag matched Alex Cox’s print.

2:03 p.m. The print matched Alex Cox – his right little finger. This was on the black plastic where JJ’s body was found.

Did we know this before? I don't recall it. Did it come up at Lori's? Seems like pretty short testimony or was Nate just busy and didn't get much for notes? And Boyce lett her refresh self on how many hairs but then it doesn't say how many after she does.

I don't know why I'm surprised, I guess I'm not, it always did appear that Alex had a lot to do with the kids. Out of the three, he is the strongest one, Chad always looked especially then like the Pillsbury Dough Boy but an ugly version where the original is cute. I never got a chance to read the tweets from yesterday and may never, not sure. I DID however catch up on a nightly of Nate's but on the day before so am behind still. I watched a chunk of morning testimony but couldn't take the details after a time and left it all entirely for some hours.

I saw somewhere was it here? Speculation or fact? That may be JJ was drugged then bound, etc.? I can't almost take the picture or thought of them doing this to him while wide awake, seeing and fighting them but he did come to did he not if so? I HATE these details and I quit watching when they started talking of the number of bags of Tylee since there was no solid Tylee.

The evil here is shocking even though I/we knew it. There was a part of me that felt Alex loved these kids. Lori I never had trouble with buying it for some reason, I don't think the woman loves. Other than thine self. I think the same of Chad. There is plenty of evidence Alex was twisted as well but I guess because he bumbled or stumbled more than once I thought perhaps he was not as into such as they. Or maybe I hoped that. I don't truly care, all are evil and that's been abundantly clear throughout.

I also, I think in Nate's chat, saw someone who thinks Alex may have come in to help Chad with Tammy when Garth was it was at the Halloween job until the early hours at the haunted house or whatever the heck it was. I used to think it likely only Chad but that makes some sense especially with testimony from was it Mel P that Alex was to go to Hawaii with them but Chad needed his help with something... So on that thought they took care of her before Garth came home and then Chad finds her dead and calls for probably a tired Garth hours later..?

Lori and Z were doing a casting at the time of the first attempt, the shooting away in AZ. Were Mel P and Lori doing the same on this attempt while in HI? I get all these others are testifying against Chad and Lori but I don't think we have the full truth of what they were doing nor their knowledge. It is what it is though, get the big evil kahunas, at least first.

I watched hours upon hours of interviews and read transcripts etc. I saw Z, I saw Lori's sister, possibly mom, unsure on that one, Mel G...I don't offhand recall Mel P or with her kids!? I saw Mel P and Ian's full interview together and there was a very telling one when some reporter caught up with her walking her dogs well after where she showed her true colors and other side imo. I also saw and heard the bodycam footage of the night she and Alex tried to take the kids or pull whatever they were up to, perhaps to murder Brandon even AND take the kids. I recall ALL of those but not this one... I don't have the time to look at it now or in short order it would probably trigger my memory or not but offhand it doesn't...Although it makes perfect sense she'd be questioned as to Brandon's shooting... I know I've seen everything there is to see that can be seen and found pretty much. I've watched what are probably hundreds of not thousands of hours of things in this case. Due to that, I may just not recall but it isn't ringing a bell offhand.

This is Gilbert LE interviewing her on the 3rd Oct 2019. I got as far as about a third of the way thru and she appears to be implicating Alex at the point I had to stop. Will try and watch/listen to the rest when I can.
