Did you watch it? I'm a bit behind on this.Dateline is about Karen Read tonight. If you miss it, it might be on a streaming service later.
Did you watch it? I'm a bit behind on this.
There is a new prosecutor on the case. He noticed that Karen made a call to her mother at 1:30a.m. on the day she allegedly hit John. The call was never answered. It was the only call to her parents before John's body was discovered. He wants her parent's phone records to see how many times Karen called her parents at 1:30a.m. before.
Turtle boy's phone automatically deletes messages after thirty days, and the prosecutor finds that problematic. He seems to suggest that this was done on purpose. Well, my phone deletes things after 30 days. So why is that suspicious?
Does the phone provider keep them?I was mistaken about a couple of things there. It's not her mother she called, it was her father.
Also, Turtle boy's phone deletes texts every thirty days. My phone only deletes pictures permanently thirty days after I delete them. My texts go back since the exchanges with friends started.
Does the phone provider keep them?
Perhaps he has a lot of texts. I manuallly delete mine and didn't know you could do that. I'll have to look what my oldest one is.I think so, but on my phone right now, the oldest text I have is from September 26, 2018. That would be very shortly after I got this phone. (I didn't realize it was that old.) So my phone doesn't delete texts. If Turtle Boy set his to delete after thirty days, it's odd. However, it's nobodies business if he chooses to do that or not.
many apps can be set to auto delete after so much time. I have several set to do that. There is a new prosecutor on the case. They keep the history but not usually the texts. That's why they want the actual phones.Does the phone provider keep them?
He might have it set that way to save space on his phone, especially if things are backed up in the cloud. If he has iphone, it auto backs up to the cloud. Mine just save to the phone itself. Providers can't see what you actually text. just that you texted somebody at a particular time.I think so, but on my phone right now, the oldest text I have is from September 26, 2018. KR speaks after the hearing for a few seconds. She should go on the stand if she has anything to say. Its only short and is at 42 seconds in. At about 1.50 there is a still of JM where he was found so i screenshot it. Link and screenshot both below.
The screenshot is not that good if someone wants to try and get a clearer one. My phone is on its last legs, a bit like me. It looks to me like where they are looking is at a road driveway but i am not that sure.
Also, D and P both want to delay the retrial till April. Judge will look at that.

Judge denies special prosecutor’s request for phone records from Karen Read’s parents
On Friday, in a recent development to the Karen Read murder case, Norfolk Superior Court Judge Beverly Cannone has denied prosecutors special request of Karen Read’s parents phone records for use.www.boston25news.com
Especially when this same judge denied the defense the records of the people that were actually at the scene. That is as it should be.
Well if they do it then they should forfeit that right. You should not be able to blab to the news and then refuse to take the stand. You know how many defendants that refuse to get on the stand do make statements? Nearly every single one in a high profile case.
Can they call her parents to the stand? Did they testify in the first trial?Especially when this same judge denied the defense the records of the people that were actually at the scene.
That's why a lot of judges place a gag order on people.Well if they do it then they should forfeit that right. You should not be able to blab to the news and then refuse to take the stand.
