LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *TRIAL IN PROGRESS*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Not surprised. I think they've had more help than they claim since at least ISC time and unshared help and PERHAPS even long before.

You know though what I've seen and learned in my life? The more involved or too many to manage turns into a clusterf**k. It does, it ends up right hand don't know what left is doing or left doesn't tell right what someone on staff assumed they'd remember to share with right hand and the more the worse that gets.

We are talking about a defense who seems very disorganized and inept to begin with BUT I allow for all of that may be intentional... I don't think so though. Not in the early months etc. I think we will see.

WELL they are getting funds and a new addition (not the only I'm sure, just only announced one) so LET's GET THIS TRIAL OVER,.

This has probably been posted before but posting as a recap. 14 phones. (12 cell phones and 2 Motorola flip phones. )

  • A black Sig Sauer P226 .40 caliber handgun
  • A .40 caliber S&W cartridge found in a wooden keepsake box
  • A .40 caliber S&W cartridge found in the Sig Sauer
  • A magazine filled with nine .40 caliber cartridges
  • A magazine filled with eight .40 caliber cartridges
  • A paper-wrapped wooden weave box containing:
    • 2 “Audiovox” devices,
    • 2 silver Motorola flip phones,
    • 4 car chargers, and
    • 3 wall outlet chargers
A property receipt filed by police indicated that both the Sig Sauer pistol and the cartridge found in the wooden box were sent to a lab for examination.

Later into the night of Oct. 13, around 9:45 p.m., police returned to the 1900 block of Whiteman Drive for a second search. This time, they seized:

  • 7 various sheathed knives
  • 8 various folding knives
  • 4 various multi-tools
  • A miniature katana with a red tassel
  • 3 pairs of boots
  • 12 various quarter-zip or full-zip sweatshirts
  • 3 coats
  • 4 various stocking caps and hats
  • 10 pairs of gloves
  • Various fabric straps
  • 2 HP Laptops
  • Multiple headbands
  • Cardboard phone box
  • Empty ammo box
  • 3 flash drives, 1 labeled “Rick”
  • 2 hard drives
  • An iPod
  • 12 cell phones
  • 2 pagers
  • Several miscellaneous chargers and phone accessories
  • A GPS system
  • A motorcycle cover
  • An Aquafina water bottle
The search warrants continued the following day on Oct. 14, 2022, when ISP troopers searched a Ford Focus at ISP District 14’s post in West Lafayette. The search, which docs show occurred around 2 p.m., yielded three items:

  • A cutting of carpeted area under a spare tire in the Ford Focus
  • Swabbing from the driver’s lap belt and the driver’s shoulder belt in the Ford Focus
  • Swabbing from the passenger side carpeted floorboards
I wouldn't have recalled it all so good repost if it had been. I remember there being a ton of phones which is flat out odd imo. Makes me think of CB. I mean many of us probably have a drawer of old cords or charges or our last cell maybe, etc. but that many?

Of course this is years after the fact but the laptops of course and other things are of interest and the flash drive.

Pagers too? Hmm.

A GPS system...?

Seemingly less notable but maybe more so is what one woudn't think relevant--a motorcycle cover???????????????? Why I wonder........ An aquafina water bottle? That seems so innocuous or maybe for DNA but there'd be other ways to get that so it seems a bit odd... Just because it isn't probably meant to be nor looks odd. Looks insignificant when first logging in head...

Hard drives AND flash drives. Not JUST laptops etc...

I can't help it that I think this man was a quiet demon living a secret life or put on one into many things beyond his normal married go to work life... Of course I could be wrong most definitely and this isn't on all facts but on facts and instinct right or wrong. We may know of no more but I see him like CB and other SKs like Rader. Living the daily life with a family and a job... With deep dark sh*t, desire and evil inside.

That's what I sense. Again that's not all based on fact it is simply several things, what we have seen of him and just some gut instinct coming in.

Aside from that based on facts though, that opinion is based on what we do know and RA is guilty.

Beyond that though, just feelings and things and instinct, I think it is even more than that as to what he is and who he is/was and what he would have done... If he hadn't already killed more prior.

No they have two new ones Professor Ausbrook helping Hennessy (re the contempt issue presumably) and Jennifer Auger helping R&B with the trial.

I'm just saying there seem to have been others "on board" for some time that aren't declared/announced... Like in the form of other defense attys/public defenders. Perhaps not in their office per se just support. Jmo. You know like Wieneke who made statement on is website about the ex parte thing... Just one example. And jmo. Just as some backed them up with the ISC like other public defenders. That's more what I was referring to rather than the announced adds of help.

Oh yes I forgot Cara Wieneke. Will check her out.

Here you go - specialises in appellate and post conviction defence LOL. Now we know why she is keeping an eye on this case.

Wow- $24,445 of $25,000 raised now - 98% funded.
It has taken them longer than I'd have thought for all the yelling on behalf of RA etc. Where are those types now when it comes to ponying up?

Honestly that isn't much in the realm of things. Not many years ago they'd say $10K per expert necessary but that's probably already been given and is nothing these days to pay someone to, excuse me, lie. Or keep shopping until you find one that will. Not enamored with the defense expert b.s. and again I've seen it.

It hasn't went from zero to surpassing as I'm almost going to guess is what they hoped. I have not looked at such links and had/have no desire to. Can you see who donated? Lol. Probably wife and mom or not and other defense attys or selves. Can't help the snark with that.

Well maybe not from GFM but I'd think with being public defenders they'd have to account for this but the law is probably a gray area there since GFM to my knowledge has never been used this way before in such a case.

You know, I tend to avoid Hollywood/celebrity types of trials and b.s. for similar reasons, the b.s. and SHOW and more. They're certainly putting on a show but haven't imo recovered from their obvious line of b.s. or leaks or errors in former things.

Smdh.

But I also have to laugh. I just can't help it. Somewhat disgusted on one hand but find it ridiculous on the other hand.

And again B & R are basically state employees in this case. I'd laugh my arse off if all of a sudden some unknown person for the heck of it started one for the rest of the state in tis case and it exceeded fast their donations. Believe me I don't want that to happen but they'd be whining about the unfairness as more believe in them or some such and they got more from PUBLIC donations than the defense. :D

I don't even have words it is so beyond. Let's see what they do when they finally shortly reach their goal. Will they take it down and no more needed or keep going...

I haven't seen a way to see who has donated like with GFM. I'm not familiar with the platform they have used. I just checked again and they have exceeded the target. Here's the link so we can keep an eye on whether they will now raise the target.

I have just watched this video and it goes thru the 10 biggest reasons why RA could be found guilty.

It's interesting because I recall something with GFM in this case way way back when. Never been one to look at such but there are comments or used to be under GFMs, couldn't tell you nowadays as haven't looked at one in a very long time.

And there was a commenter in the early days or year that made comments about L's uncle and the family who sure seemed to be local. I wonder if that can still be found as now I wonder if it wouldn't have been from RA or someone close to him, of course screen name could be different but looking back could be interesting. I won't go into more on it right now but they didn't like their money, their life and some other things.

Could have been someone else, no idea but clearly not all love each other in Delphi is how it hit me EVEN when a tragedy.

So here we are with this GFM years later. I'm not saying they are related in any way but it trigged that memory.

So are there still comments like under this one now? There used to be I know.

Pretty much the only time I've ever looked at one is if related to a case and people griping about it if they donated and felt it being misused or things like that and to see comments and that even has been rare.

I haven't looked at the platform in years. Probably last time was Morphew early days and that's some time ago now.

I do wonder about I'm sorry some who I feel are idiots who donate in a case before they know who even may be guilty and often family. Not in this case but in others. Happens a lot. Soto would be the most recent I know of. Can names tons of others. Morphew which I already mentioned.

I guess I don't know if you can see who donated. I thought one could but perhaps I'm wrong. I do know one could see comments under.

This is what I've been trying to say. It doesn't matter if you like RA or not, it doesn't matter if you think he's guilty or not. What matters is when one defendant is denied a fair trial, it sets a precedent for others to follow. If you want the guy convicted, you should be highly in favor of a fair trial.

I don't see a reason why his trial would be unfair. They are using a jury from Allen County partly for that reason right? So there is no bias on such a well known local case. He appears to have good lawyers and had the chance to change them if he had wanted to, but chose to stick with them, so I don't see any reason for either unfairness or delay.

As far as I understand it they have had experts paid and have not supported the reason for more money for same.

I want a fair trial, I feel sorry for RA and I never feel sorry for a defendant I believe to be guilty.

In fact, I want a trial and this ove so let's get on with it.

Defense never seems to show the foundation for their claims just the fact they asked and it was denied as unsupported.

Judging by their FM and some other things, perhaps they honestly are looking for funds for unnecessary things.

Who knows where they are concerned.

Why is it we never get the details and reasons given for denial and so on.

I don't know. Nothing imo is every supported or rarely and it is just claims.

An argument I'd make is show me how much pay prosecution experts have been or will be paid and that they even have all the ones the defense seems to want.

There is absolutely never any details to even know what's true.

Also we use the Daubert standard to even qualify experts, does IN? I'd think so, it is the typical standard. Even so I feel junk experts were let in to be fair to defense that should not have qualified and could have been impeached imo.

There is a TON these days that is more than fair to defendants because of fear of years of appeals and let's not even talk delays in most cases.

This case is about TWO dead girls. And about the man accused OF committing such act and it hasn't even like in most cases become all about him. It's become something else and it is not the B & R side show.

I WOULD LIKE to see the requests they made and how they supported such. Have we? Or did we miss it? Maybe I did.

Why is it they haven't shared that?

They pick and they choose.

If they did share it again I missed it and the transcription of any hearing or oral or written decision.

And that could be with lack of time.

I sure haven't seen anyone else hear though sharing such or talking of it either.

This is a general response to the issues going on. And jmo.

I wait for the day how many yrs from now when RA complains and appeals over the representation he had. And when he does, I will actually agree with him. Thus far anyhow.

Perhaps the entire area or state is this kind of possibly political battle, I wouldn't know. Sure does seem like it though. This isn't about RA. Not when entire defense groups come in and things go to the ISC and so on.

Court should not be a circus nor a monkey court or side show. Justice shouldn't. It's disgusting. Should things be FAIR? OF COURSE. I haven't ever here seen a single person say otherwise. They should not be ridiculous and not support their claims but claim them and the case should not be be tried and influenced in the public by the very team/s that gripe about publicity in all cases. Like Prior just chatting with the news right before that trial where Boyce now had to issue an order. Has Prior griped about such? Oh yes. Did Lori's attorney? Oh yes.

Not ONCE here have I seen either the other side NOR the judge do a thing that involved getting their side to the press or exposing case facts and so on.

Imo it takes a certain special (not in a good way) kind of person to be some kinds of defense attys.

I DO think things in the system aren't perfect. Right HERE you have both state paid attorneys on both sides. By the way prosecution isn't getting PRIVATE pay either. And have I would guess a sh*tload more cases than defense and no choice whether to take them, they are county attorneys/DAs.

Neither side that gets taken here sees some of the other at all. Or looks beyond imo. This case has NOT been tried simply because of almost all that's been said by defense and it sure doesn't mean it is all true. Defenses KNOW prosecution is not going to talk or respond in kind, NOR judges and that's been used many a time.

I don't know if RA is guilty. I have my high percentage opinion on it. But we don't know the half. I await trial when it's not just one side with their claims.

I'll also add that Adam Montgomery (different cases) better darned well be ordered to attend sentencing and victim impact statements. He WAS convicted.

There's a whole ton of sh*t in this country that is defense oriented or favored. Typically they are the total delayers in many a case and every judge is scared (or most) to deny such requests. This is weighted way too far in that way too.

YES he deserves EXPERTS. And PAY for at least similar. And FAIRNESS.

I'd hope no one here thinks anyone here thinks otherwise. BUT we sure don't know it all and only have our opinions. We aren't experts, we aren't prosecutors, we aren't privy and we aren't the judge. I'm as solid on my opinion as those on theirs adversely but NONE of us KNOW.

I've watched defense games. PERSONALLY not on TV or online.

And a judge grant time and tons more to the huge grief and inconvenience to victim's families. I've seen experts let in that should have never passed the Daubert standard.

It is not ALL against defendants and defense or even prisoners these days. HE77 they let out some murderer every single day or some child molestor.

I KNOW I lean some one way but I DO NOT when reason to NOT. And to date I've seen NONE here except that came from defense.

And as to others, I WANT all responsible arrested and convicted BUT again we don't know there were others AND RA has plenty against him that are reasons to be charged.

The man CONFESSED MULTIPLE times on top of evidence.

WE can all say never but NOTHING would have made me do that. Kill me or beat me first.

There is a "smoking gun" here that is not a gun. I don't know what it is but there is one that panicked him and his attys to death. Who I don't believe read the evidence before their help delivered it to RA. Again jmo.

RA is the most famous man right now because his attys are using everything possible to be in the news themselves and play it all. This as some think quiet unassuming store clerk/shift supervisor/supposedly pharm tech living a normal life. CB is perhaps quite jealous.

I don't know and this is opinion and it is not at a single person but just the other side of any thoughts the other way and pointing some out BOTH ways even.

And again I WANT a fair trial. And I want it brought on. Without b.s. and side shows and circus.

I care TOTALLY if someone is charged or wrongfully convicted and would never want to be in such shoes and not have help.

There is NOTHING here so far that shows that. He PLACED himself there and it is NOT like from TAht day on they went after him. He CONFESSED. HIs bullet/casing from BACK WHEN was there. And if anyone is going to tell me some far fetched story of how that was planned years ago waiting til now, etc. oh man.

I hope he gets a fair trial. They've met their GFM basically so what's the next gripe coming or play of the public?

I am set in some things. I doubt I could EVER be convinced this is about RA and their concern and love for him where B & R are concerned. I've seen nothing but the opposite and I think they failed him and that's a large part in why he confessed and they try to make up for it. They know it.

Anywhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Let's try it and see what NONE of us know. I have no belief or trust it will go off in May but maybe. Daybell apparently will go off on time in a couple of days.

I don't see a reason why his trial would be unfair. They are using a jury from Allen County partly for that reason right? So there is no bias on such a well known local case. Yep, they are reinstated. It is what they wanted and they got it.

Med records were denied forever until recently.

REquests for more expert money were unsupported. I say more on such in another post.

I want a fair trial. I want the facts we don't know and that no one does.

Not only med records but Gull agreed on a jury from Allen. Some never mention that. Only decisions they disagree with based on only defense claims.

Anyhow, I can't wait for this to be tried but have a feeling at least on one side it will be a sh*t show. And that opinion comes from what we've seen.

I wish the poor suicided man could talk.

I will be fair, big surprise right? I'm not sure about the cat and cat hair thing either. Yet we don't know a lot of things even when some assume we know it all and act as if the case has been tried or allegations from one side tells all.

I hope to heck this case IS tried in May. I have real doubts it will be. However, defense asked for it and let them stick to it. Didn't happen in Kohberger. And she's considered by some a great defense atty.

Just saying...

Digging up the cat/fire pit/backyard was reported by neighbours, DM and Nancy Grace IIRC. DM/Nancy Grace/Barb McDonald choose who you wish to believe/take with a grain of salt till we find out at trial right?

In your post asking about the defence experts, I don't think we get to know who they are do we? Their experts and their evidence is only used at trial if it is beneficial to them right?

Two videos here.

First one gives full details about jury selection and the trial. Jury will be sequestered. See short video for other details. 2 mins.

Second one is Scott Reisch and Delphi is one of his subjects. 34 mins. Begins with the Arizona Rancher trial, then Daybell at 6 min mark, Sam Bankman-Frìed at 13 min, Delphi at 17 min, Chad Doerman at 24 min. Times are approximate.

Have listened to first one, but haven't listened to Scott yet.

I'm not saying there isn't a real thing behind what was said by a neighbor, the cat, hints of animal hair or some "other" type of DNA. I'm only saying I'm not convinced. I hope they have that. Refresh me do the neighbors know a cat was buried there? I take Barb McDonald with not even a grain of salt lol, not a fan. Nancy I go back and forth on. She did one heck of a question and answer in Sebastian's case recently and even waited for answers and did not interrupt lol. I DEFINITELY am not saying there isn't a cat hair that matches. I am just saying I'm not SOLD that there is or that we know that they found such and got a match. There's a lot we don't know.

Well sickeningly yeah defense gets to shop for experts and discard until they find one they can pay to say what they want pretty much. Imo. In our case, they had a hard time BECAUSE the FACTS were the FACTS and again, I could tell the story of how bad and what happened at some point...

Yeah who they decide to use or possibly call has to be disclosed at some point. They can pay them bucko bucks to come and then not use them though. THAT happened in our case, after the first one failed on the stand and ended up agreeable with our prosecutor, they decided not to use the rest although there were also OTHER reasons for that... Including that we KNEW what the top one had done and been in trouble for and not a minor thing. I'm sidetracking but it needs to be fixed. Expert whore shopping is a disgusting practice that's allowed. Let them get bona fide experts only. That's what Daubert is for. The standard. I don't think in ours their experts and for sure one should have passed but you know in being overly fair to defendants....

In no way do I think a cat may not have been found and hair matched. It would fit in fact the defense dance where they say things like HIS DNA was not found and so on. I'm only saying we don't know. Did the neighbor say there was cat dug up or he'd seen one get buried there? I await knowing I guess is all I'm saying. There sure is a lot of smoke around it and where there's smoke there if often fire but these days just online stuff can create fake smoke where there's no fire too. I think there's good reason to THINK there may be a cat hair/DNA match and it sure does fit their dance around DNA through the years and how it isn't what one would think.... All I was saying was to be fair, I don't know that and cannot say we have been shown they have such. Yet.

I watch videos where they cover several cases like Scott always does. I never have time to go post them in each case he covered in one video. I used do make all the effort to do that. The last I did so I just go to current news or something which is far from perfect for saying or informing this covers this case and that case because someone following such and such a case may not look at that thread ever.

I don't get Scott's popping up any more, not for a long time. It makes me forget and I was an original viewer. I have to think of him and go look for him and yet I'm subscribed. I've checked. What the algorithm is and how it works I don't know but it irritates me.

Little time this morn, anything new or interesting in either? So jury will be sequestered. Judge is going with it and doing it and I think prosecution is ready. Let's rock and roll even though I won't be surprised if a kink comes. Let's see if this gets derailed and by who and with what claim. I'm predicting... Based on pattern...

LOL I only now saw the headline in what you linked. RA gives the judge the bird?!! Okay now I have to watch. This would fit with the game player and evil I think he truly is underneath. The woe is me is an act. I think he's up there with any SK, could be one, already was, or would have been.
