Kentucky State Police searching for missing 8-month-old baby; Here's what we know

Miya Rudd was last suspected to be in the care of her parents; however, authorities said she couldn't be found during the welfare check.

KSP said they opened a missing child investigation Thursday after a search warrant and welfare check concerning Miya Tucker, of Reynolds Station, was conducted.
Police said officers arrested and charged the mother of the missing infant, Tesla Tucker, 29, with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia and abandonment of a minor.
She is currently booked at the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
Cage Rudd, 30, was also arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and abandonment of a minor.

********. Why didn't they give her to the also now arrested grandparents or give her up, the avoided having her taken by moving? I seriously doubt it. They were avoiding their own arrest for drugs is more like it. Imo. IF TRUE.

They put the OTHER kids in the hands of grandparents now arrested and kids are with NO family.

And make some talk of how street drugs can destroy lives, well I guess the trooper does, not social workers...

NICE TRY but really not. How dumb are we? She was born addicted so she should have been removed right then with no chance for them to move homes, etc. How were they able to take her HOME??

Do people really buy this sh*t? I'm sure it was just the red tape and the supervisor who needed to sign off just happened to be on vacation or across town having coffee. Uh-huh.

DO YOUR JOB! These are children. This was a drug addicted baby. They SHOULD have been ready to move throughout the PREGNANCY!! The other kids were already GONE and not allowed to be with her.

Seriously, does anyone buy this? I'm sorry for you if you do. And are okay with things as they are, things like this.

I don't do FB and such so at times I feel like others know things I don't.

So if she was born drug addicted and they knew what was coming and fled the hospital there was a warrant served or about to be to take the child?

I have no problem with this being shared if you know--can't was talk about such and say allegedly etc.?

Is this a guess or something said that is likely in other SM?

I don't even see the couple as wanting the child, I see them as worried about their own arrest and proof of drug use.
 
To clarify, they would not leave the hospital with the child for the love and sake of the child. But for their own sake.

According to a release, Brodie Payne, 28, of Reynolds Station was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking of legend drugs, trafficking marijuana, engaging in organized crime, possession of paraphernalia and wanton endangerment. According to Kentucky State Police, Payne had been staying at the home of Miya Rudd’s parents for approximately 6 months.

Authorities say Payne was served by KSP at the Daviess County Detention Center. Payne was arrested on May 20 after investigators say he used the USPS to facilitate his drug trafficking operation.

Kentucky Medical Examiners Office, forensics team join search for missing infant Miya Rudd​

Officials with the Kentucky State Police say efforts are continuing Friday to find a missing 8-month-old child from Ohio County.

According to KSP, members of the Kentucky Medical Examiners Office and forensic investigators are in Ohio County Friday morning, along with numerous K9s, to help in the investigation surrounding missing 8-month-old Miya Rudd.

KSP says detectives and examiners will be processing the home and property on Hardin Lane in the community of Reynolds Station, which was being searched Tuesday. They say the K9s are assigned to a handful of search areas in the vicinity.

I am not ever in the basement any more I just don't have the time but I did not know this, Congrats GRANDMA! You now have one of each! I miss keeping up on lives. I have one of each and as you know I lost one or I would have two granddaughters today. Yes babies are often not located. Some cases that haunt me are those. Amiah Robertson never found and I don't think she ever will be even after we are long gone. EVER. Kept the babies close.

This case is WARPED. BOTH sets of grandparents. What have these other kids seen/have happen? Maybe the aunt/sister is the only good or truthful one in the bunch but I sure would not count on it considering all people here on both sides.

I am too. if she was eight months old and died in May I'd think they could give a pretty accurate finding on that but if she went missing when a newborn, now that's a different story.

The "organized crime" thing is a bit different...

This baby never had a chance nor did her siblings. What were they suffering at the hands of now arrested grandparents they were placed with...

Quit Effing Having Children if You don't want them and can't take care of them but then I guess it is a benefit check how warped is that.... It is like the government paying those not capable to bring children into this world. WARPED. Not saying it is the case with all but many those that believe the sh*t in place doesn't make losers use it and play the system...

I am just MAD at the death of this BABY. NEITHER PARENT, NEITHER SET of GRANDPARENTS. All of these people. Her FAMILY. NOT a ONE on either side was a safe haven for HER and you can BET it was not for the other kids either who now are with NO family and note they have NOT been placed with the SISTER/AUNT.

My granddaughter who all know what happened to was three months and you cannot imagine the number of pics her mom had (my daughter) and how many we all have and made for all.

Like I said too this child should have been in for first year immuniizations at how many months and how many months, been so long ago I can't recall but at least twice probably much less baby well check ups. WAS she? She didn't end up with her grandparents like the other kids but would she have been any SAFER? They have ALL been ARRESTED. TWO SETS OF GRANDPARENTS AND BOTH PARENTS ARRESTED. I'm pretty sure we can safely say never seen another case where that is the case... And that's just 6 of the 8...
