Tennessee Amber Alert issued for missing teen out of Sumner County

Sumner County officials are asking everyone to be on the lookout as they continue their search for a missing and endangered teenager they say has autism.

An Amber Alert has been issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

"Carefully check your property… and any other locations where a child who enjoys hiding might be," the Sumner County Sheriff's Office has said.

Fifteen-year-old Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers was last seen on Monday "near Stafford Court in Hendersonville wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants and glasses," the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said on X.

More drama with poor Sebastian in the middle.

Sebastian Rogers likely ‘alive,’ bounty hunter vows to find him

Celebrity bounty hunter Duane Chapman, also known as “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” believes missing Tennessee teen Sebastian Rogers is still alive and plans to do whatever it takes to find him.

“I’m not a real law enforcement officer. I can do a lot of things that law enforcement cannot do. I don’t break the law, but I will bend it to its fracturing point,” Chapman said on “Banfield.” “I’m gonna hunt these people down. … I think the boy is still alive.”

Chapman suspects that Rogers was “stashed somewhere” because of a custody battle going on between his parents.

“We’re seeing a domestic squabble over a child,” Chapman said.

Last week, the FBI announced a reward of $50,000 for information about the case. Law enforcement has not said anything criminal happened to Sebastian. Still, seeing the need for answers, Chapman stepped in to help Seth and uncover the truth while increasing the reward to $100,000.

Chapman and his team plan to work independently from law enforcement but will reevaluate collected information and follow up on new leads.

Okayyyy....

Ya know maybe the man has so much life experience he just knows...

I don't mean that of course but I guess it could be.

So one parent or another is hiding the child and someone who knows who is seeing to him for all of this time... I guess a good friend or other relative of one or the other parent...

I watched him, his wife, his kids back in the day. I think most maybe did. it was a unique show for TV at the time...

I haven't kept up fully on him in years since but know the wife died, he's not quite as know any longer, etc., etc.

He showed up out of the blue in the Petito case and never solved sh*t. Got some press though.

I don't do much what I call "Hollywood"...

There's a boy missing here, and did one parent or another call him in by the way? Or did he just decide to come in? Oh there is a reward which is how he always did work as a bounty hunter.

I don't know sh*t but I don't believe for a moment this boy is alive but I guess he does and can give some hope, or maybe fear, to either or both of the parents...

And he's got his moment or two of press hasn't he...

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — The court hearing for a popular YouTuber involved in the case of missing autistic teen Sebastian Rogershas been set for next month.

Sebastian’s parents, Katie and Chris Proudfoot, accused Andra Griffin of violating an order of protection. The woman is known to some as “Bullhorn Betty,” a true-crime YouTuber who has been heavily involved in the search for the teen.

But Sebastian parents say she’s too involved.

Griffin claims she has stayed on public property—and believes her First Amendment rights are being violated.

The judge on Tuesday granted a continuance in the case. A hearing is now scheduled for Oct. 10.

While I'm quite suspicious of Sebastian's mother and stepfather, I have no time or respect for Bullhorn Betty. She is disgusting and the product of excess in all things.

I wish news would act like news. WHO requested the continuance? And I did read the link and it doesn't say. Uhm, be nice to know who thought they needed more time and is maybe panicked... And/or the reason for it.

Dog the Bounty Hunter and Sebastian Rogers’s father send cease and desist letters to social media users

Cease and desist letters were sent out to social media users threatening and harassing individuals looking for missing Sumner County teen Sebastian Rogers.

Dog the Bounty Hunter and Seth Rogers, Sebastian’s biological father, said they’ve experienced online harassment and have seen the threats only increase.

Duane Chapman, better known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, joined the search this month and raised the reward for information leading to an arrest or finding of Sebastian to $100,000.

“They bring a social media team, they bring an investigative team, and they bring a legal team,” Spokesperson for Seth Rogers, Tony Mathis, said. “And those are things that were all desperately needed. In addition to Dog’s passion and the overall horsepower of his organization, The case has been amplified tenfold just in the last two weeks.”

“This is not the first rodeo for me finding a missing child,” Dog the Bounty Hunter said. “We are working on every lead we can get. NiktheHat and I are getting so many leads.”

“There’s cameras that we are now going after,” Dog added.

But Dog said in less than a month of joining the search, they have received countless threats.

“It’s really bad,” Dog explained. “I mean, they have threatened Seth’s family […] and written letters to their employers, to their people, and that has got to stop.”

“People run their mouth,” Seth expressed. “There’s keyboard warriors every day. They want to send death threats and things to people, but they are cowards.”

In response, the Law Offices of Joseph Lesniak, representing At Night Productions, Duane “Dog” Chapman, Seth Rogers, Tony Mathis, and several other individuals, cite eleven reasons for the cease-and-desist letters.
https://www.wkrn.com/news/local-new...ing-reward-for-info-to-100k/?ipid=promo-link1
“What Lesniak is doing is he is issuing cease and desists with a copy of the federal injunctions attached as a warning shot,” Tony Mathis, spokesperson for Seth Rogers explained. “What they are trying to do is not get people to quit talking about Sebastian. They are trying to get people to quit harassing and attacking the people that are intimately involved with the case.”

“They have kind of taken over the airwaves and created a defamation campaign against my clients,” Attorney Joseph Lesniak stated. “Instead of keeping their eye on the real important thing here, which is finding this young man.”

One of two letters sent out begins by saying, “The search for Sebastian is a critical and sensitive matter, and your reckless interference is not just irresponsible – it’s illegal.”

According to the Law Offices of Joseph Lesniak, some instances of interference are encouraging false allegations, flooding false leads, undermining reward credibility, interference with search operations, and slander and harassment.

The letter continues, “This is not a game, and you’ve run out of chances. Simply put, if you want to keep talking, you can take the stand in court; otherwise, refrain from this criminal behavior.”

The reader has 48 hours to comply or face an emergency injunction in federal court.

Lesniak recommends that social media users explicitly state that they share their opinions, not facts.

“But if that opinion leads to someone’s fiduciary or reputation loss, that can be defamation and an actionable item,” Lesniak said. ” We believe that this happened, my opinion is, I allegedly, this is what I have heard, those types of words then clue listeners into, okay this is not fact. This is someone’s opinion.”

But he encourages YouTubers and social media users to keep Sebastian’s name visible online.

“They keep this issue at the forefront and make people remind them that it happened and it’s not going away,” Lesniak explained.

Definitely not a fan of Dog, but I would never even think of interfering with what he's trying to accomplish here. I just don't get it.

Exactly! It's none of the business of armchair detectives. I would NEVER think of doing stuff like this - EVER.

Thursday marks 7 months since Sebastian Rogers’ disappearance

It’s now been seven months since 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers disappeared from his Hendersonville home, leaving family, friends and community members with more questions than answers.

Seven months into their investigation, Sumner County law enforcement officials have not reported any new information. However, the teen remains at the center of an AMBER Alert, with the FBI offering a $50,000 reward for information, and Duane Chapman, also known as “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” matching that reward to raise it to $100,000.

YouTuber ‘Bullhorn Betty’ must stay away from Sebastian Rogers’ family, judge rules

A YouTube content creator who calls herself an investigative journalist has been ordered to stop reporting on the family of a missing 15-year-old boy.

Katie and Chris, along with Chris’ parents, have accused YouTube content creator Andra Griffin, aka “Bullhorn Betty,” of stalking and harassing them. At a hearing on Thursday, Sumner County General Sessions Judge Ron Blanton upheld orders of protection for all four adults and Chris’ minor children.

Griffin, who testified at the hearing, identified herself as an “investigative reporter” and submitted to the court a homemade “media ID” that she had created to wear while out recording. In court documents reviewed by Court TV, Griffin is accused of approaching the family across multiple states and encouraging her followers online to harass the family. Chris testified at the hearing that Griffin had threatened to bring a gun from another state, as well as a machete.

Chris’ attorney showed a compilation of Griffin’s videos during the hearing, which featured her asking her followers to get her information about the Proudfoots. In one, she appeared to threaten the family. “I’ve been very calm, very courteous,” Griffin said in one clip. “I was trying to do my job without making a ruckus. But if you want to push me? Honey, I’ll come out with a whole pile of ruckus you guys won’t even know what to do with and your law enforcement will not be able to stop.” When she was asked to clarify what that meant, Griffin said she simply meant that she holds all her protests on public property.

Griffin’s attorney, Terry Frizzell, told the judge, “What I saw here is offensive to me, but I believe Ms. Griffin has a right to make those statements as an American citizen.”

Judge Blanton disagreed, saying, “Somewhere along the line this turned into not a pursuit to find Sebastian Rogers, it turned into a personal vendetta.” While Griffin professed to have come to Tennessee from her home in Florida to assist the search for the teen, “there’s very little testimony by you of what you’ve done, other than harass [the victims],” Blanton said.

As part of the protection order, Griffin is not allowed to have any contact with the families and must complete a firearms declaration. The judge also made explicitly clear that she is not to discuss the family on social media, saying, “These people are basically not in your world anymore.”

An angry Seth Rogers stormed out of the hearing after the order of protection was granted. He spoke to cameras outside of the courtroom, where he blasted the judge’s decision as a blow to free speech. “You’re not allowed to sit there and ask the questions, you know, as somebody would say, the hard questions, and get an answer,” Seth said. Seth, who is a supporter of Griffin’s, also said he remains suspicious of his ex and her family. “They haven’t shed a single tear for my son being missing. They haven’t looked and they’re doing everything they can to stop my son from being found. And if that doesn’t scream, ‘guilt,’ then I don’t know what does.”

Griffin is due to return to court on Nov. 20 for a hearing on charges that she violated the restraining orders six times.

The footage of her accusing them of "following" her while they were in front of her was precious. She's a lunatic.

haven't watched but she is the worst of SOME on YT or FB or anywhere.

I even lean toward his stepfather, and mom.

BUT what she does is NOT okay. She did it with the Laundries and with Summer Wells I believe and she is a lunatic and it's all for viewers and money. She does NOT go search. She goes and harasses in front of homes. Even when I think someone guilty, I do NOT think such is okay.

Sebastian's dad I am not real okay with here either. He seems to be the one who is most concerned and he doubts mom and stepdad and I actually am on that same page BUT he has aligned himself with of all people, Bullhorn Betty. Not a good move. I get wanting to yell and push as the parent but she isn't going to help you. Find yourself a good responsible one to help you.

I have never even checked out her channel as I've seen enough clips of her outside of homes. While I did not like the Laundries protecting their son and not giving the Petitos answers, they did not kill Gabby.

It sounds as if she violated the temporary restraining order more than once. And I hope convictions result.

There may be rights to protest on a street, etc. if not crossing a line, but once a temp order is in place whatever parameters are in that you have to abide by. Sounds like she did not.

Seth Rogers (it is Seth isn't it?) is not helping himself by of all people aligning with her and yelling and being there as he left the courthouse. She is bad news and she is not trying to find or help ANYONE. She is an attention seeker.

And where was Seth? I dont' mean he did this but there were two bio parents here. And whether he was limited by her or whatever or life, if you care, again align with good people not Betty Bullhorn types.

I don't want to but I guess I should watch the video for her following them.

I think most of us believe in freedom of speech and what we feel are inviolable rights, etc. but I do think it goes too far sometimes. She is a perfect example.

She gets me feeling sorry for parents (the Laundries, the Wests) that I am not real happy with or always agree with myself or suspect even, and if someone can do that to ME, it is pretty bad, that I can feel sorry for people I suspect or do not agree with. NO ONE deserves what she does.

She has made a THING of this, and has followers and she does incite them to go harass, etc. and dox and find out info. From all I understand, I think the judge said as much...

Dad needs to be a dad and if he wants justice and answers, uhm Bleached Bullhorn is not your avenue...

Private investigator responds to injunction from Sebastian Rogers’ father, Dog The Bounty Hunter

Seth Rogers, father of missing 15-year-old Sebastian Rogers, recently joined Duane “Dog” Chapman in filing a preliminary injunction against several people who have joined the search for the teenager.

The injunction request cites interference and obstruction as the reasons for the filing.

One private investigator involved in the search, Stephen Fischer, filed a non-party opposition to the injunction request, claiming he is actively engaged in the search for Sebastian and a preliminary, and ultimately permanent would undermine the real search for the boy.

“My standing as a non-party opposer in this case arises from the Plaintiffs’ attempt to secure a preliminary and permanent injunction,” Fischer explains in his opposition. “Which would undermine the integrity of the investigation by silencing media personalities, obstructing public dialogue, and acquiring communications and data.”

Fischer states in the opposition that he is the only licensed investigator involved in the search and AtNight Media, Dog the Bounty Hunter’s company, has yet to set foot in Tennessee and use unlicensed personnel and illegal tactics to gain information in cases. One AtNight Media employee, according to Fischer, is on parole and is “barred from engaging with law enforcement in any capacity.”

The initial motion for a preliminary injunction was filed in Pennsylvania, where AtNight Media is located. The motion was aimed at two people, Stephanie Jo Trude and Jessica Lynn Seng, who were using their social platforms to aid in the search for Sebastian.

Seth Rogers and “Dog the Bounty Hunter” claim the two, and anyone else launching their own search efforts was an obstruction and were actually interfering in the search.

Fischer disagrees.

“Their illegal activities as unlicensed investigators should not be protected, and granting an injunction would harm the public interest by silencing critical reporting on a matter of public concern.”

Is this some altered reality they're living in?

If you want to find your kid, let people help. It doesn't look good, IMO.

And yet it's one of those that has turned into having Bigmouth, can't think of her name right now, Dog the Bounty Hunter and tons of not the best YTers doing what some types do. I actually almost never come across some channels any more. I thought they likely get rid of them better and more frequently but maybe it's the algorithm as I never see this sh*t or go seeking it. I've got the ones I trust. Period.

Ohhh Betty Bullhorn. She appropriately names herself anyhow, searches for no chlld or person but claims to and does nothing but harass. The fact anyone can make me feel sorry for someone or a family to that I'm not on board with (I might think involved, suspect covering for son like in Laundrie, you anme it) it is still so overboard and non productive and for gain and PERSONAL reasons and attention that I end up feeling sorry for the families or some of them that I actually think might be guilty...

Here though... Wow. I can name several cases this sh*t has happened in. West. Petito. Now Rogers. Wells. Morphew in a different way and with a differnt bunch, supposedly big time retired LE affected that one...

I'm trying to follow this and forgive me if wrong, but aren't BOTH mom and dad yelling about who is searching or involved, not allowed to or harassing while ma and pa (bio) are on very different pages...

It's a bad look for both all around... Imo.

Up to them I guess and I think most know I have my suspicions but just want your son found if both fully innocent and one at least may suspect the others, but work with LE and get on them. And while LE hasn't found him or solved this, I can guarantee you they likely don't trust bio morm or bio dad and certainly not stepdad. They aren't going to share sh*t when they can't even probably be sure if they are clear and then they are partnering with this person or that person, being harassed by this YTer or that one, etc... It's SICK. YOUR SON IS MISSING.

I can hardly track who is who and who is using who any longer or trying to block the other's "help". Whether Dog, a PI or whoever. and of course all these "nonprofit" volunteer groups too came in on this one... I'm still confused on how many Cajun Navies there are.

Ma and Pa need to stop and sit down and DIAL down with LE. All this panic about a search. He is NOT alive out in the wilderness. This happened in FEBRUARY in TN and then a whole TN summer has passed and IF they find him, the odds of much evidence as to many things is going to be long gone.

Does this make any sense that they all need to QUIT from the DOGS, the YTers, the FBers, etc. and get serious. Personally again I have my "opinion", not saying I know or can know or am 100 percent but if both bio parents are innocent then knock it the heck off, even if you think the other one might not be.
I watched Dog as maybe many of us did back in the day when it was something very unique they stuck on television... Before I got cynical with much of all of it too far...

A PI the only "real" one, etc. trying to run or rule who is in the search, etc...

STOP. Maybe one of you go on Dr. Phil next or Dateline for God's sake. Or talk to Daily Mail. You name it.

Injunctions, Restraining orders. Blocking who can search. You name it. I can't even BLAME ma and stepdad for wanting one against the old bleached bullhorn. Never watched her channel in my lifetime but I sure the heck have seen her doing her thing in cases out front of their homes or borderline if not ON their property...

This child is dead. I can't know but have little doubt. And to me the answer lies with the mother and stepdad.

But both parents are not helping and this is ridiculous.

Unless LE is worthless, sit your arse down and talk to LE and show them who you are and clear yourself. There are a TON of responsible channels out there on YT and elsewhere to get attention on your missing son. Dog the Bounty Hunter? Really? And ma and stepdad probably didn't ask for Betty Bullhorn but do you know what, then go clear yourselves...

Some types and YTers or SM etc. actually do help in calling out things, etc... Without getting ridiculously about the views, money, etc. Go to one of them.

Okay I am clearly overdoing it and on a rant but these posts above about this b.s. hardly make sense. Meaning the news/links, not the posters.

You call the detective EVERY week if not twice a week and you give and provide all you can. And you do all our can that way. Even then you are not going to get all you want. But BE that for your son, he's been gone for months now. EIGHT. Clear yourself, show yourself, and HELP them.

I know who I think is likely responsible, not 100 percent of course, but not much more impressed with dad...

Celebrity bounty hunter expands search efforts internationally for missing Sumner County teen

Duane Chapman, also known as Dog the Bounty Hunter, is looking for new leads and has raised the reward amount for information regarding Sebastian Rogers.

Last month, Dog The Bounty Hunter joined the search efforts. His first act was to raise the reward money for information from $50,000 to $100,000.

This week, Chapman raised the reward amount for information, which now totals $175,000 after his team said he received “valuable” information and leads in Oregon and New York.

Bryndis Davis, the lead high-task force investigator for AtNight Intelligence Agency and Dog the Bounty Hunter, said she hopes the increase in reward money will develop further assistance from the public.

“We want to motivate anyone with information to please step forward and potentially help break the case wide open,” Davis expressed. “We are signaling to the public that help is crucial right now.”

However, investigators with Chapman’s team are not ruling out any possible leads in Canada and along its border.

According to the AtNight Intelligence Agency, two notifications were issued requesting immediate awareness on ports of entry into the United States and Canada.

“We have pinpointed some credible leads in Oregon and New York, near the Canadian border,” Davis said. “There are several active investigation zones where we are working on the case closely with locals and initiated a rapid reach notification to all U.S. towns that border Canada.”

The documents request vigilance from national law enforcement agencies with specific attention to motels, hotels, bus stations, and similar public facilities.

“It’s about how seriously we take these new leads and our dedication to using every tool at our disposal to find answers,” Davis concluded.

In the meantime, the investigative group is looking to add more team members by February and March.

Anyone who has any information concerning the whereabouts of Sebastian Wayne Drake Rogers, can call Chapman’s tip line at 833-835-5364 or contact the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office at 615-451-3838, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND or TipsToTBI@tbi.tn.gov. You can also contact your local FBI office, the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.https://www.wkrn.com/news/local-new...dog-bounty-hunter-file-suit/?ipid=promo-link2

SMFH. No one can even show this child ever left home to date.

Althought yes, Dog apparently is trying to become relevant and reinvent self. And sure, all should be looked at but unless there is something we don't know, that there as some contact and someone was so intent they whisked him off to another country, etc., I find this ridiculous.

This particular kid for their own purposes.

Okayyyy...

You know back in the day when he and wife were first on and such, it was an unusual and different show. I like anyone watched a few in the day of the new "reality" TV not a bit of which is reality.

There's seriously a missing child here. But whatever. It's great he raised the reward. Name the number of cases ever where the reward did jack sh*t.

So ports of entry and someone wanted this troubled, challenged child teen so badly they went to all of this effort and hiding and planning for this one in the dark of night, leaving no sign, etc. and ports of entry are involved.

Give me a break. I mean seriously people have lost it with these crazy conspiracy things.

This child again, can't even be shown to have ever left home. Is he working with cops by the way?

Celebrity bounty hunter raises reward for info on missing Tennessee teen after ‘critical’ leads increase

Duane Chapman’s, also known as Dog The Bounty Hunter, team has raised the reward for information involving missing Sumner County teen Sebastian Rogers.

The increase in reward money comes days after a tip led licensed investigators to put boots on the ground in Goodlettsville.

“[I’m] never going to stop,” exclaimed Seth Rogers, Sebastian’s biological father. “You don’t stop halfway between a goal.”

“We will find Sebastian, and we will bring him home,” he added.

On Nov. 15, Chapman’s team received a tip.

“We are following up regarding the tip you provided about a potential sighting of the missing juvenile, Sebastian Rogers,” the voicemail to the tipster from AtNight Private Intelligence/ One World said. “We understand you reported seeing a boy matching Sebastian’s description at the Motel 6 in Goodlettsville.”

“This is a critical lead in our ongoing investigation,” the voicemail added.

According to AtNight Private Intelligence, a team of licensed investigators and contractors acted on that tip after seeing a boy matching Sebastian’s description walk into a motel room on Monday, Nov. 19.

Investigators reportedly called 911 at 4:47 p.m. The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene, and the individual identified was found not to be Sebastian.

“Unfortunately, it was not Sebastian,” Seth said. “But with that kind of movement and that kind of force, we are going to find Sebastian.”

On Friday, Nov. 22, the reward for information on Sebastian’s whereabouts increased again from $175,000 to $200,000.
