State of Oklahoma vs. Joe Kennedy for multiple murders

I wonder how many people actually own machine guns in the US.

Unless the barrels are leaded up, they'd better not own any.

The interesting thing is that the machine guns used by Chicago mobsters were less effective in kills per second than the assault rifles used today. The reason for that is the machine guns have a kickback that makes them very hard to control. Today's assault rifles have no kickback and fire very quickly. It still takes a pull for every bullet, it still makes it more effective.

This is why machine guns aren't that popular with illegal arms dealers.

I think people need educating on guns lol. My favorite: it's an AR so it's an assault rifle.

A person of interest in the grisly killing of four Oklahoma men has been arrested in Florida, police said Tuesday.

According to the Okmulgee Police Department, Joe Kennedy was taken into custody in Daytona Beach Shores. He is charged with grand theft auto and being held without bond.

Officials have begun the process of getting Kennedy back to Okmulgee County.

WESH sister station KOCO reports that Kennedy was a person of interest in the case of four missing men who were found shot and dismembered in the Deep Fork River.

KOCO reports Kennedy owned a salvage yard that was connected to a property where police said a "violent scene had taken place."

Mark Chastain, 32, Billy Chastain, 30, Mike Sparks, 32, and Alex Stevens, 29, were believed to have left a house in Okmulgee on bicycles the evening of Oct. 9. They were planning to commit a crime, according to the police chief.

"That belief is based off information from a witness, who says they were invited to go with the men, to quote, 'hit a lick big enough for all of them,'" Chief Joe Prentice, Okmulgee Police Department, said.
You hear about a person being dismembered. It's nothing new unfortunately. But FOUR?!!! it's hard work from what killers that have done that say. I think there is sooo much more to this story. If someone is convicted. I hope they have the death penalty. This case cries for it.

In certain areas... a LOT.
Gangs, People who are drug dealers, Growers. I'm guessing this was over drugs. It is alarming, But a criminal, Even convicted can get ahold of anything. That's been a gun argument. That you can make tougher laws for guns. A criminal can't get one legally with a record. But they WILL get ahold of one. A dirty one. With serial #'s filed off so it can't be traced because it had probably already had been used in a crime. Not being political here. Just stating some facts.

They are VERY common in a lot rural areas and are VERY easy to obtain.

So now at least when a meth lab explodes it only takes out their house and singes some trees. Why wouldn't you take the chance?. Ingesting something made from under the sink, Over the counter meds that are behind the counter, BECAUSE OF YOU! Down a bottle of Drano and get on with it.

Glad they got him. That's just gruesome. If you find any affidavits will you post them?
I've queued a search for the affidavit. If one is published in MSM I will post.

Here is a look at the prosecutor's timeline, as outlined in the affidavit:

Oct. 9

  • 3 p.m.: On the day prosecutors believe the shooting deaths occurred, Kennedy is seen parking his PT Cruiser across the street from his scrapyard at a Coke plant.
  • 5:37 p.m.: Mark Chastain's phone records indicate he arrives at the scrapyard.
  • 6:22 p.m.: Gunshots are reported by a deputy sheriff who lives in the area.
  • 7:59 p.m.: Video shows Kennedy leaving the scrapyard, wearing a different shirt, and leaving the area in his PT Cruiser
  • 10:14 p.m.: Video shows Kennedy returning to the scrapyard, again parking at the Coke plant, this time driving a Toyota Tundra.
  • 11:15 p.m.: Kennedy is seen walking back to the Tundra and leaving the area.
Oct. 10

  • 1:19 a.m.: Kennedy returns to the scrapyard, again parking at the Coke plant.
  • 2:14 a.m.: Kennedy again leaves the scrapyard, still in the Tundra.
  • 2:44 a.m.: Kennedy returns to the scrapyard, again parking at the Coke plant.
  • 4:12 a.m.: Kennedy returns to the truck, drives it north a short distance and pulls into a vacant lot that borders his scrapyard. The lot is referred to as Pine Field.
  • 4:54 a.m.: The truck is seen returning to the Coke plant before turning around and going back to Pine Field.
  • 6:22 a.m.: A "vehicle consistent with the Tundra pickup" is seen leaving Pine Field going west on Sharp Road.
Oct. 14

  • Four bodies are discovered in the Deep Fork River after being seen from a bridge on Sharp Road.
  • Officers find personal items belonging to Mark Chastain in Pine Field with what is believed to be blood.
  • Prosecutors say Kennedy parked his PT Cruiser behind a warehouse in Morris and sometime later takes the Tundra belonging to a friend.
Oct. 15

  • 3 a.m.: Kennedy arrives at the home of a friend in Gore, possessing a bicycle belonging to one of the victims. The bicycle was identified by the victim's family. Kennedy tells the friend the men "were stealing from him" and that he killed them and cut them up. He then leaves her residence.
Kennedy was arrested on a stolen vehicle complaint on Oct. 18 in Daytona Beach, Florida, after the Tundra, which had been reported stolen, was identified by an automated plate reader on a deputy sheriff's patrol car.

There, he was placed on a suicide watch because he told arresting officers he intended to jump off a hotel balcony in Daytona Beach, a charging affidavit showed.

Florida authorities ultimately dropped the stolen vehicle charge against Kennedy, clearing the way for his extradition back to Oklahoma on Nov. 12, where he initially was booked into the Okmulgee County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.

Let them take themselves out. Suicide watch. Smh. Which would be a big shame because the guy is obviously a genius.

This baffles me. The salvage yard. If they have the right equipment they could have put them and their bikes in a car and crushed it and covered it up somehow. Dismembering 4?. From hearing, Reading and seeing killers talk that have done that, It's very difficult to do. Maybe I missed the method. I guess if rural, A chainsaw could have been used. But his wife filed for divorce when he was arrested. Like she had no idea. I would think she would have heard that at least. She didn't see anything?. Clean-up?. The lawsuit names her too. I suppose because the property and assets are in her name too. He brought a bike to a friend at 3 a.m. It seems he was maybe hiding that from his wife. I know the motive, But the rest makes no sense to me.
