Okay. If one watches this video which I never saw, it appears that the texting with the friend about a wedding on Saturday (and her bro seems to confirm it) ended about 8 a.m. That is certainly not the time that has been thrown around out there everywhere so I don't know what the deal is here... It also refers to her attending a wedding the very next day but Covid stopped it. I was under the impression this wedding had been for off in the future and the plans. Sooooo.... Perhaps it was off and they were replanning it or something for the future... But 8 a.m.? It was put out like they had been yakking back and forth for some time and then Suzanne just disappeared and the conversation ended...

The 8 a.m. is way off what I have read. At first I heard she quit texting about the wedding/communicating that Sat. night and then since I have heard that early afternoon and now it is 8 a.m.? This sounds entirely different and entirely throws the timeline different. The brother also said he expects she is within a 2.5 hour drive...

According to Morgan Gentile, the beach job was Saturday morning and she expected to work all day at that property... Per her recently, Barry told her he was tired and changed the time here and there from 9 a.m. to 8 a.m. and he was tired as he was called(?) or at a fire Friday night which apparently never happened and is not true. This was the day she claimed she expected to work all day but they quit at 11 and he had to go keep the wife happy with a bike ride or hike, etc.

Then she said that he was seen shopping in town that day which surprised her as he told her he was going to hike or something with Suzanne... This is also the day she was I thought told to make the beach flat, flat, flat. Well how long were they or she or he and she there...? 8 to 11, 9 to 11? That does not sound like long to do much...

However, it was also said by Morgan that she got to this job and I believe he claimed he had done some work and she said he had done little for the hours involved. Was this Friday night he had allegedly been there and then alleged he responded to a fire? If it was Saturday morning, why would she expect anything done since they were only there from 8 or 9 until 11?

So where does her brother get this 2.5 hour window? Because the texting ended at 8 a.m. and Barry was seen shopping? That doesn't mean he could not have moved her or had her moved first and then after as because for all we know, he had then until Sunday night... Or at least until he was in Denver... And with help it could have been any time if someone else did it...

The woman that heard the equipment during the night could not remember which night of Mother's Day weekend, whether Friday or Saturday but around 11 p.m.

This case is so odd. We do not really have that much LE info. Most comes from elsewhere. And it is like one drip comes out at a time and then the next drip, and next and then they contradict... Almost every remark by Morgan above has come out separately over time...

However, little to none of it comes from LE... It is looking to me like there is more than one person involved here and lies from more than one... Because none of this is fitting together or matching... It has been said someone or more than someone(s) are trying to misdirect things and throwing false info out there...

I trust the brother's statements more than anyone's only because he may have SOME info from LE and I think he would only trust the most solid info in his best attempt to find his sister and get justice and he would have no other motive as some others may.

I read some comments and one from someone who said flat out that Barry was in town shopping Saturday and Suzanne was WITH and he took her out to supper as well. She was arguing against rumors and saying she KNEW as she was in a group talking to LE and family, etc. Well she is apparently listening to purposeful misdirection by friends or someone because that does not fit with what this video and Andy seem to say...

I actually had not judged nor wondered much about Morgan or the other two workers, I figured if anything Barry was setting them up, but now I am starting to think otherwise... Is LE just letting some talk until they tie themselves up like what went on somewhat in the Leticia Stauch deal, just let her keep talking and trying to direct the investigation...?

Long post--my apologies but this threw me a bit for a loop. I hope I made sense (debatable) as I am still trying to put this new timeline together with other things. Here is the link--the timeline is actually in the short news video and not the article.

Or was she seen after the end of the texting in town with Barry??? Does it all fit? I just don't know...

Well it is the Daily Mail but it was also hinted at by the brother and there was another hit somewhere they would not disclose... This seems to align...

Okay. I posted that before I read it all. Now I have. Why can nothing ever be straightforward or seem accurate?? The part that the other hit was on Barry's land is huge but then one starts to distrust it when they read the other things that do not all seem to be accurate...

However, it was said by the brother and more that there were direct hits on an undisclosed location. The bro also said he talked to a huge UK news organization. So that all fits.

This article says LE have now taken over and are now going to dig up "remains" found...

Going to leave it there and wait and see...

Andy did say last night that one dog hit just beyond the Morphew property line or seemed to but another did not and it turned out it was nothing and was checked out. I am suspicious of this Daily Mail article it is probably a barely legal play on that info. However, he did say he gave a UK news org an interview... I just don't get why he would give them a scoop over the others who have been helping him so much...

Now this one is also Fox and it does not touch it either way so to speak but pretty clear there is no breaking news...

I am all for her family in this case but it seems as if it is turning into click bait and teasers each night... At first I thought it was strategy but I am beginning to wonder...

The older brother of missing Colorado mom Suzanne Morphew launched an independent search on Thursday for the remains of his younger sister, who he believes was the victim of foul play.

"My sister was murdered," her brother, Andrew Moorman said, ABC affiliate Denver 7 reports. "And she was hidden within a three-and-a-half-hour window. So that — I can draw a circle on that and tell you she's within that circle. And that's what I know happened."

So...

I went into the PE podcast last night with an opinion that I was developing after the Daily Mail article. I was disgusted and things were striking me as very contrived. I held that opinion for awhile but gave it a chance.

My opinion started to change some when it comes out that LE is NOT allegedly guarding these sites until checked NOR doing a dig by experts nor anything at all. The sites where cadaver dogs hit. From what I understand these are NOT standard scent dogs but highly skilled cadaver dogs. One dog is, as they put it, a "witness" in three murder cases at the moment. And there were duplicate hits and I think in one case three hits by three dogs. Chris from PE told Andy to stay at the one site and not leave it unguarded until someone did something about it and hold a press conference if he had to at the lack of response and procedure.

I don't know what is going on but many are now thinking LE is corrupt or the husband has connections there. I personally wonder if noses and egos aren't out of joint and LE did not like the press and searchers coming to town and doing "their" job and if they were not reacting to the Daily Mail article.

I myself don't think it was wise of the brother to talk to Daily Mail, if indeed he did and it sounded as if he did, but where all of the article's info comes from is hard to say, I doubt it all came from the brother. Did LE see it or get calls about it and then refuse to do the dig or contain the sites? I don't know.

I don't know if I think corruption is going on or egos are getting in the way of justice for a missing woman. It was suggested to Andy that if he had to, to get the various owners' permission and dig himself. The one guy was also pushing for Salida residents to help get permission and/or to pressure their local LE.

These areas and hits (or at least a couple it sounds like) also came from tips and paperwork provided, etc. by people to Andy that were also shared with LE. So the hits aren't just entirely random by just one dog or some such, they were at places there was a likelihood or suspicion about already and it is why the locations were searched.

This is all to the best of how I understand it and/or my speculation.

I fail to understand in any case in any state why an area a cadaver dog hit on would not be excavated AND guarded until it can be... Isn't that how any of us would think that would go? Or would expect it to go? A good example would be the Daybell case. Look how long and how expertly that was performed when Tylee and JJ were found, probably with every warrant in place, all procedures locked down and a careful dig to preserve any findings.

And in this case, many had thoughts even before this that the perp had moved her at least once so especially would you not want to ensure that could not happen since these hits did make news? And ensure chain of evidence, control of scene, no tampering with it, etc.?

She has been missing for well over four months now and not a hint of progress until this search. Maybe it is to protect an investigation and maybe it is that they don't even have enough yet to name someone a POI or suspect?

I have followed quite a number of Colorado cases and the secrecy is beyond protecting an investigation to me sometimes. It lends to suspicion as secrecy will do in any walk of life. I find it highly different than some states, commonly sealed warrants, sealed arrest affidavits even. I think here it is more likely ego and attitude but imo they are not helping themselves. The world is watching this case. And informing family, to a point at least, is necessary imho (although you have to be sure the family is not the suspect or involved). Andy Moorman was due to go home but did not and deserves to know these hits were contained, processed, etc. as does Suzanne's ELDERLY father! Instead what Chaffee County does is issue a press release (which they never do in this case) in response is my guess to Daily Mail saying no remains were found BUT it is being said they never checked or processed the scenes so of course none were found!

Long post again and just thinking out loud and trying to put it together in my head. I will guarantee you the local LE out there probably had people contacting last night and expressing outrage. Much of all of this info is in here (also read comments in chat, etc. to see outrage):

FOX31 and Channel 2 asked Moorman if he thinks Barry Morphew was involved in Suzanne’s disappearance.

“I’m afraid this is domestic abuse,” shared Moorman.

Moorman said he learned while searching for Suzanne that she was “working with domestic abuse meetings.”

Moorman also said he believes police are trying to “fill their envelope before they seal it.”

WATCH: Moorman’s interview with Channel 2:
This makes sense because a woman is at the most risk when she's leaving. I'm sure they told Suzanne this at her meetings. 😢

I think her brother is about as fed up as Michael Bryson's parents. You can only take so much!
And EXHAUSTED. I just try to imagine driving out there, long trip, direct all the way through. Searching every single day, dealing with media, searchers and LE, and the good people of the area. Then search all day and at night go on live for a podcast. And back at it early the next day. Getting close to a week now.

Searching and dealing with all of that has to be so hard for these families, both Suzanne's and Michael's, and yet stopping the searches has to bring another level of hardship, always wondering and worrying.

In both cases though, both families can know they did their best and tried so hard and both brought "armies"/help/supporters. As you said, people can only take and do so much. He also has his dad to be worried about. I hope he gets some down time soon, he has to be in need of some.

FBI agents seen investigating land owned by husband of missing Colorado mom Suzanne Morphew

The scent of human remains has been discovered on land owned by Barry Morphew, the husband of missing Colorado mom Suzanne Morphew, her brother told multiple media outlets on Monday.

A second search of the site, using different cadaver dogs, also got a hit, Andrew Moorman said.

The discoveries were made on a plot of land owned by Barry Morphew in Poncha Springs, located about 20 minutes from where the couple lived with their high-school and college-aged daughters.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been called in to take over the search, Moorman said.

UPDATE: Chaffee County Sheriff says ‘no remains found in the Suzanne Morphew case’

According to Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze, “there have been no remains found in the Suzanne Morphew case.”

Spezze says the volunteer search has created a few potential leads, but nothing has been identified related to Suzanne’s disappearance.

Investigators will not discuss potential leads in the case as they continue to follow up on them.

I don't know what to think in this case anymore. Here is the most recent update from Chaffee County and apparently they are disputing that these areas were not secured, covered, etc...

The issue may reside in the fact that LE may need to share more. If they did indeed do this--secure, check and process these scenes--then why was the brother unaware of it? Or found areas unguarded and not processed? Or is one side or another not being truthful?

Far be it from me to suggest anything to LE but when you have an emotional and upset family, LE is not emotionally invested or I imagine they have to stay professional, but there is a gap there that needs to be filled... Not to make it sound as if LE is cold but they have to handle it as another case and stay professional where to family it is the worst thing that ever happened in their lives and as months go on, patience tends to wear thin...

LE's job is I guess not to be a social worker nor counselor but again, in this day and age of internet particularly but even before it, if families don't have some reassurance and maybe an update of what has been going on, or that ANYTHING is being done, then they are going to start fraying where they tried to wait and have hope it would be solved, etc. On top of that, they watch the other side or possibly a likely perp go on with their life or lives, and it is almost impossible to take...

Chaffee County has basically updated nor put anything out until probably responding to the media blitz and Daily Mail (now--recently)... Even just reassuring people things are being worked on a somewhat regular basis goes a long way with most people imo... Do they owe the public updates? I guess not but I think it would be wise imo or people in this fast paced internet world start to wonder and the family if they are not getting some updates certainly would imo....

All jmho and here is their update. Not sure what to believe here at this point...

Volunteer search for Suzanne Morphew comes to an end, no evidence found in connection to case

The volunteer search for Suzanne Morphew, who was reported missing May 10, has ended and despite hundreds of volunteers lending their resources and time, the teams didn't uncover any evidence related to the case, according to Chaffee County authorities.

Hundreds of volunteers from around Colorado and beyond showed up to help with the search, which began on Sept. 24.

The Chaffee County Sheriff's Office said it had collected several pieces of possible evidence that the search teams found, but they are still investigating if the items are related to Morphew's disappearance. As of Tuesday morning, they hadn't found any connections.

The sheriff's office said cadaver dogs — canines trained to find the scent of human remains and indicate as such to their handlers — appeared to find hits on three separate properties in the county in the past week. None belonged to the Morphew family.

When each of these three hits were reported, authorities with the Suzanne Morphew Missing Person Investigative Task Force, which consists of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), 11th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, responded to investigate.

The first one came along the Arkansas River. A dog handler on the private property told investigators that the "dog did not 'alert' to anything on the property but did show interest," the sheriff's office said. With permission from the property owner, authorities investigated alongside the dogs. However, they determined the lead was not viable.

The second hit was on a property near the Morphew home. This was investigated after the same dog team indicated in an area on the property. The investigative team secured the area and provided security for it until authorities with the sheriff's office, FBI and CBI arrived. With the permission of the property owner, they investigated "extensively" but found "no evidentiary significance to the case," the sheriff's office said.

The third and final hit was in an unincorporated part of Chaffee County near Salida, also on private property. A different cadaver dog team alerted to an area on the property and the task force team responded to secure the scene. On Tuesday morning, the sheriff's office, FBI and CBI, with consent from the property owner, excavated an area, but did not find any evidence of value.

Authorities have explained previously that while updates on this case may be scarce, that doesn't mean the investigation hasn't been rigorous since it began. Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze echoed this sentiment again on Tuesday.

“The level of commitment from the entire team from the Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office, CBI and FBI investigators is unprecedented and unparalleled,” he said. “While the public may not see all of the effort being put forth in this case, I can assure the community that this investigation continues to move forward.”

I am not going to say too much but I think the press was a plan and I guess it keeps it in the news, however, all of the talk about the cadaver dog hits, the Daily Mail Interview and Dr. Phil, it was all probably to let them get their click bait or whatever one likes to call it... I don't know and am trying to understand that I guess you do what you have to do to bring attention but I do know the other night, things seemed almost orchestrated... I will leave it there...

Perhaps, but if I were desperate to find my beloved sister, I might do whatever I can to keep attention on her disappearance, too.
