ONGOING CRIME BREAKING NEWS!

Starting in January 2020, this thread is about the news as it breaks!

Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

IMO- stay in jail

25 YEARS OF AMBER ALERTS
Since the first AMBER Alert program launched 25 years ago, over 1,074 children have been recovered safely as a direct result of AMBER Alerts and the incredible communities that respond to them.

In 2020, 74% of AMBER Alert cases were recovered within 6 hours and 91% were recovered within 24 hours.

Wow. I can't believe it's been that long since Amber Hagerman. But in January will be 26 yrs. Without justice.

And one is still too many that aren't found. If stranger abducted, Most are killed within 3hrs. And in 72 hrs LE considers them most likely deceased. That is the sickening reality.

And now she's been arrested in the US for allegedly murdering her Mother

When Boston Police arrived at the school Wednesday afternoon, an officer found Upper Campus Principal Patricia Lampron unconscious on the ground being tended to by staff members. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries which are considered to be non-life-threatening.

According to WBZ-TV I-Team sources, the 61-year-old principal suffered broken ribs and a head injury.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested and will be arraigned in Dorchester Juvenile Court on assault and battery charges.

Another staff member was allegedly hit as well, but the extent of those injuries isn’t known.

I am gong to share this because she is one of the few covering this particular case. She packs a lot into not too long of a video. I don't watch her all of the time, it just kind of depends on the cases I am following or which ones she is covering but she is pretty fact based and pretty responsible with her shows. If it is speculation ever she will say so.

This Houston case more facts keep coming out on but I wouldn't call it majorly covered. It is the type of thing most don't want to even think goes on and I understand because some are just a bit more disgusting than others although all crimes are, how does one rate them...

This mother and her bf, pay attention to that part if you watch it, were both acting like they lived the good life so in love and enjoying food, he gave her jewelry for Valentines (steal it or what--watch that part...) while her kids were starving, left alone with their dead brother for a year, had no electricity and more... The case first reared its head here in the current crimes thead... Wondering if maybe it should have its own thread? I mean the parents are charged already so it is not a "whodunit" but it is still evolving and info coming out...

There is much more and a few other videos on it... A sibling basically watched their brother killed... The kids were often beaten by the bf... The mom was well aware imo... if you do watch this one, go back and watch the couple of others...

It's just over 21 minutes. She is kind of like Linda/It's A Crime in that she can pack a ton of info into a short period of time and all of the relevant info. So not too long and her other one or two on the same case aren't either. If interested, it won't take long to be up on what has occurred since first heard about.

Haven't watched much of this yet or read about it but sounds big by the various headlines. Criminal investigation into foster care services company in Pinellas County Florida. From WFLA, same channel that covered Petito/Laundrie in Florida so it is from a news station the link I mean.

Literally just read the headline. I dont know what happened.

It said that some people may have been injecting others with drugs. It sounds like they were doing unknowingly to the people.
