Killer who stabbed 4 Idaho students to death still at large

The killer — or killers — who stabbed four University of Idaho students to death remained at large Tuesday, prompting many students to leave the campus in the idyllic small town despite police assurances that there was no imminent risk to the community.

So many students had left the scenic tree-lined campus in Moscow, Idaho, by Tuesday that university officials said a candlelight vigil scheduled for the next day would instead be held after the Thanksgiving break.

The students, all close friends, were found dead in an off-campus rental home around noon on Sunday, and officials said they likely were killed several hours earlier. Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the Spokane, Washington-based television station KXLY that her preliminary investigation showed the students were stabbed to death. There is no indication that substance use was involved in the deaths, Mabbutt said.

A crashed white Hyundai Elantra sits on Seneca Road near W. 7th. This vehicle is the same make and model as the vehicle of interest in the Moscow, Idaho murders. .
Many people in the community have wondered if this crashed vehicle could be related to the Moscow, Idaho murders.

We reached out to the Eugene Police Department to get a statement about this vehicle. Here is what police are saying: “We are aware of it and have sent the vehicle information to Moscow Idaho. We will refer everybody to call Moscow Idaho police for any additional information.” ~EPD.

I know exactly where this car was dumped. There's been a lot of criminal activity in Eugene as of late, so i'm not getting too excited about it, but you never know!

If they were sleeping in bed, as the coroner stated early on, it wouldn’t take much to overpower any of them. Though there’s been a lot of special about where they were actually found.

I also believe it’s one male killer. Not discounting anything though. Including planners, getaway drivers, etc. Though I personally think a single male individual is most likely.
My theory is the same as yours only because it appears the same method and weapon were used, from what little has been said. Just seems LE has leaned that way in their brief pressers.

Idaho murders: Signs a person is harboring an awful secret

For more than five weeks now, someone has been carrying around the secret that they murdered four people in Moscow, Idaho.

Is it possible that the killer is exhibiting strange new behaviors, giving off telltale signs that would be huge red flags?

On Tuesday, NewsNation’s Ashleigh Banfield asked Robin Dreeke, retired FBI special agent and head of the Counterintelligence Behavioral Analysis Program, what kind of signs the people of Moscow should be on the lookout for.

Dreeke says to stay present and observe “what deviates from someone’s normal behavior.”

“We’ve all experienced this … We can always tell when someone’s having either a really good day or a really bad day, because we pick up a lot of nonverbal cues,” Dreeke told “Banfield.” “The challenge in this situation is more time passes, the likelihood of the personality type starts edging more probably towards psychopathy, and a lack of empathy.”

There are currently two members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit that were assigned from the FBI to this case, and that number has remained the same from the start. Dreeke says this is good news.

“These two are taking in all this information, and they’re basing it off of their expertise in looking at these heinous crimes as a career, and trying to match up the intel that’s coming in with their research on past murders that have been similar,” Dreeke explained.

Dreeke added that these kinds of investigations can go on for while, because the suspect might want “some sort of psychological reward” before turning themselves in.

“If you start edging up towards psychopathy like that, it’s all about grandiosity. It’s how big they can make themselves look … how smarter (they are) than everyone else. It’s a total lack of empathy that they have, which makes it really challenging to see this in a community.”

They haven’t told the public anything about what the roommates(s?) had been doing that night, etc. it’s all Very bizarre and there are all sorts of rumors being thrown out there, to make it even more confusing.
The public knows some about what M and K were doing because of the videos from the grub truck. E and X were at a frat party roughly between 8-9 pm and nothing else is known ( at least publicly.) about what they were doing before artiving at the house in the wee hours. LE stated the two survivors were "out of town" and later changed it to " out and about in town" and they were not considered suspects.

I've seen at least 3 retired detectives say they think it's a repeat offender and this isn't his first killing. It's very scary!
That is. I was college age with "Danny Rolling". I remember students leaving in droves. What he did was way overkill, Dismemberment, Decapitation, Staged, Horrifying scenes. And it appeared random, And was more than one killing. Also killed 3 roomates. Audio taped your exploits and ideas. Couldn’t get out of that. He messed up in Florida. Dead. And good riddance. What a sicko. According to the FBI. The data has varied. I've read between 25-50 and 100-150 Serial killers are operating at any given time in the U.S. Of course we don't hear about most of them. Can you imagine?. Public panic. Like the government announcing they know for a fact aliens exist.

A driver, a lookout at/near the house, and 2 killers. KIllers enter through unlocked slider- one takes the 3rd floor and the other the 2nd. The front door on the ground floor had a passcode that needed to be entered. That passcode was apparently known by many people who did not live there , had partied at the house, and was no secret.
I never heard that before. That seems farfetched. 4 people. For what?. I usually think multiple people they are all getting something in a residence that is going to bring sizeable cash to all of them. I don't see it here. 4 people just killing. And the 4 of course in that white Hyundai. Giving out the security codes to multiple people was not a good idea. That would add weight to the personal motive. And the theory the killer was already inside hiding.

First of many in this case, I'm sure.

Moscow murders: Professor sues Tik-Toker sleuth for defamation

A University of Idaho professor has filed a lawsuit alleging defamation by a Tik Tok crime sleuth, who accused the professor of murdering the four Idaho students on her account -- which later was reposed and viewed by millions.

A Texas based internet sleuth, Ashley Guillard, posted multiple Tik Toks in November and December accusing University of Idaho Professor Rebecca Scofield of the quadruple murder. Scofield later sued when Guillard didn't take the videos down.

The suit, filed Wednesday, was first reported by the University of Idaho Argonaut.

Guillard says she "solves crimes online" through psychic readings, and her videos have gained thousands of views.

In the videos, Guillard says Scofield was having a relationship with one of the victims and then planned the murders with another student because "(the victim) wanted a break in the relationship" and wanted to "keep from making the relationship public" court filings said.

However, Scofield says in the suit that she didn't even have any of the victims in her classes. The lawsuit says that Scofield was not even in Moscow when the homicides occurred -- she and her husband were in Oregon visiting friends, it said, when the quadruple stabbing occurred off King Road on Nov. 13.

The complaint says that Guillard wrote, "I don't care what y'all say, Rebecca Scofield killed (the victims) and she was the one to initiate the plan..."

Scofield reached out to Guillard to ask her to take the defamatory statements down after the posts were shared by the thousands. However, Guillard did not take them down, the suit said.

Guillard kept posting more videos, the lawsuit said, citing a video that stated, "Rebecca Scofield is going to prison for the murder of the 4 University of Idaho students whether you like it or not."

Some videos about Scofield have 2.5 million likes.

Scofield says in the suit that the false statements have damaged her reputation and caused her to fear for her life and family. She was subject to online threats and ridicule from Guillard's followers, the suit said.

Why can't people just shut up and call in a tip?

This is one of the most horrible slanders in a crime case I’ve ever seen! People have really gone over the deep end.

Apparently the vehicles are fully processed.

Idaho murders: Kaylee Goncalves' Range Rover retrieved from city lot

An unidentified man retrieved Idaho murder victim Kaylee Goncalves' Range Rover on Thursday afternoon from a Moscow city storage lot.

The downcast-looking man helped a pair of Moscow police officers tinker under the hood as they started the engine of the 2016 Range Rover Evoque that Goncalves excitedly purchased days before her slaying.

As officers scraped ice from the windshield and brushed away snow, the sullen man, whom Fox News Digital wasn't immediately able to identify, paced nearby in the frigid air.

At around 3 p.m., he drove off in the silver SUV nearly six weeks after Goncalves was killed in a rental home near the University of Idaho campus.

Kernodle's blue Honda was picked up from the city lot on Wednesday.

I wonder if it would be the bank? She just bought it and I don’t know if she was making payments on it or not.
