Manchester police are seeking tips from the public about the disappearance of a girl not seen in more than two years.

Harmony Montgomery, 7, was last seen in a home in Manchester in October 2019, when she was 5, police said.

Police said they first learned Harmony went missing earlier this week. Chief Allen Aldenberg did not specify who reported the girl missing but said his department has been in touch with multiple family members and will continue to speak with them.

Aldenberg said police are not searching for any adult or vehicle in connection with the case. Investigators are focusing on the whereabouts of Harmony.

"No time is a good time for a child to go missing," Aldenberg said. "I'm begging the community. I don't care if you saw this young girl a year ago and you think it's irrelevant. Call us."

Aldenberg said at a news conference Friday his detectives are working to confirm where Harmony is from and where she went to school before her disappearance.

Harmony is estimated to be approximately 4 feet tall and 50 pounds. Investigators said she has blonde hair, blue eyes and should be wearing glasses.

"We need help," Aldenberg said. "This remains a very active investigation."

That's why I am wondering if the place stinks to start with or if the ones that would be able to actually do something about it were so out of their minds to care, like it was just too much effort.

I think if we had all the details we'd be even more upset. A couple of now homeless people dragging around a child's body whose only conern is likely their next fix plus not getting caught. Who knows what he/they did with her from one place to the next if they even tried to fit her or keep her from smelling or being noticed. This case should have multiple abuse of a corpse charges imo.

And she KNEW all of this. But to get the devil I guess they had to deal. She lied to keep getting food benefits etc. I'd about bet they weren't used for food either but more likely to trade for other things.

In some cases, and this is one, even though the child shouldn't be dead or passed and the parents had NO RIGHT to take their life, I do feel they are in a better place than the hell on earth they were living in with such parents.

Without a doubt I agree that in all this carting her body around, it should have been noticed and him caught with her body. Both of them actually. Unreal.

I am far from calling all homeless shelters are like that. I am just wondering if THAT one is like that for them not to inquire much about the report of a stench coming from that room.

We have volunteered a a few different shelters and I can guarantee you, the management would have been all over that in those. There are rules of cleanliness in the ones I am familiar with that allow families to stay. The men's shelter is a whole different story, but I am sure they still would have been on "that" smell.

Yes, it's disgusting that we have come to discussing her as an odor, but it's very much a part of the story now, unfortunately.

Knowing these two if they go to a shelter it may be one that is the most relaxed or with types like themselves but then how many shelters would be in this area?

I get/got what you meant and don't actually doubt the vast majority are on drugs but would hope and think a few aren't and have some hope and are just down on their luck but then maybe not...

The cooler one I think I'd heard before in the MIL's hallway or whatever but yes the vent in the shelter is harder to fathom but I guess if they can't find something in the room they would put the smell down to coming from someone or something else....

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu is calling on the public to help authorities locate the body of Harmony Montgomery after a police affidavit provided new information Tuesday about the death of the 5-year-old girl. With the death allegedly at the hands of her father, he is accused of hiding her remains, possibly in the Greater Boston area.

In a statement Tuesday, Sununu called the details that became public after the affidavit was ordered unsealed by a Rockingham Superior Court judge “heinous.”

“Such heinous acts of violence, especially towards a child, deserve the maximum punishment the law permits,” the governor said. “Harmony deserves justice and justice must be served. Anyone with relevant information regarding this case is urged to come forward.”

Manchester police have reactivated a special tip line for the Harmony Montgomery investigation. “If you have any information about the location of Harmony’s remains or the circumstances of her murder, please call or text the 24-hour tip line dedicated to Harmony Montgomery at 603-203-6060.”

O.K. New Hampshire. Death it is then. But the appeals process needs to be revamped. 15 yrs or more on death row before execution. The victim had NO appeals. Or their families! Richard Ramirez. That POS was caught in 1985. I just turned 15. Death sentence. He died on death row of leukemia in 2013. And was allowed to get married. JUST WTF?!!!! The dumb b** that married him too. I'm glad he suffered in pain though. POS! He thought he was so smart too. Not so much when the people recognized your picture on the front page in the Spanish neighborhood and beat the living s**t out of you! He was one sick f! Harmony's father is too!!! I would permanently fix them. Bring back hanging, The gas chamber, Electrocution. Medieval torture. 2 years average on death row. I'm serious. I agree on the first sentence. And the second sentence of yours. And heck on ALL of them. I agree ENTIRELY. What in the heck is going on in this world?!!!!!

This beautiful little girl would be a better addition than he or his gf. Who do we get left with though often back out on the streets? The perps. Where the bright lights, the children, the better parent in some cases like the wife, murdered but the perps live, no death sentence for them and if there is, it generally isn't carried out.

Mine too. It is all just so BAD and WRONG. She would have likely added nothing but joy to this world but instead they live and she is gone. I don't even have the words for how mad it makes me. I don't have sh*t but I would have taken her. She may have on occasion had to have a lunch of peanut butter or egg sandwiches, grilled chese, etc. but she'd have been taken care of. The onlky time she'd have been near a frig would be to get a cold drink or a snack and NOT STUFFED IN ONE.

Adam Montgomery, the New Hampshire man charged with murder in the disappearance of his 5-year-old daughter, Harmony, was sentenced to decades in prison on unrelated weapons charges Monday, with a judge assuring him the sentence didn't factor in what he's accused of in his upcoming case.

He was found guilty in June on six separate charges, including being a career armed criminal, and sentenced to between 32-and-a-half and 75 years behind bars. Montgomery was accused of having a shotgun and a rifle, even though he has multiple felony convictions in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

These charges were not related to the second-degree murder charge he faces in the death of his daughter, Harmony Montgomery.

Speaking briefly at his sentencing on the gun charges in Hillsborough Superior Court, Adam Montgomery stridently denied killing his daughter, a charge he called offensive, as he asked that the judge not consider that case when she sentenced him.

Montgomery began by saying he didn't want to dispute that he was found guilty in the weapons case, then pivoted to his request that the judge not factor in the murder case as she mulls how long the man should spend in prison for two counts each of being an armed career criminal, receiving stolen property and theft.

My best guess is he hoped since "just" weapons charges the judge would go light so long as she didn't let the murder influence it first of all and second of all that he is worried about being known a a child killer by other inmates when he goes off to prison for this crime. He'd deny it anyhow I'm sure but probably is vehemently doing so now in this case due to something like that.

I also don't see what kind of defense he has except first I guess they could argue she is not dead and second he will likely turn it onto Kayla BUT to do that is almost to admit something did happen to her while with the two of them so they'd have to be careful if doing that no?
