Girl last seen in Manchester in October 2019; police seek tips from public

Manchester police are seeking tips from the public about the disappearance of a girl not seen in more than two years.

Harmony Montgomery, 7, was last seen in a home in Manchester in October 2019, when she was 5, police said.

Police said they first learned Harmony went missing earlier this week. Chief Allen Aldenberg did not specify who reported the girl missing but said his department has been in touch with multiple family members and will continue to speak with them.

Aldenberg said police are not searching for any adult or vehicle in connection with the case. Investigators are focusing on the whereabouts of Harmony.

"No time is a good time for a child to go missing," Aldenberg said. "I'm begging the community. I don't care if you saw this young girl a year ago and you think it's irrelevant. Call us."

Aldenberg said at a news conference Friday his detectives are working to confirm where Harmony is from and where she went to school before her disappearance.

Harmony is estimated to be approximately 4 feet tall and 50 pounds. Investigators said she has blonde hair, blue eyes and should be wearing glasses.

"We need help," Aldenberg said. "This remains a very active investigation."

That was difficult to read. I can't imagine what the live was like to watch. :(

From Amy Coveno:

Confirmed now from the AG's office: Adam Montgomery is not required to be present for the verdict and is only required at sentencing, if the judge orders it.

We're still on jury watch here. The court closes in 50 minutes.

Not up on all posts here but managed to watch MOST of this trial before, after, etc. Lots to say about certain witnesses and other things and defense and so on I will likely never have time to.

Listening to defense closing now. I know it is in jury watch. I don't like admitting it but defense makes a few good points BUT there is so much that is b.s. I listened to Kayla's testimony, ALL of it, and she is not citing accurate testimony and this is one thing in court that should not be allowed. Openings and closings are NOT fact and don't have to be. She also fails to prove Kayla did this PLUS most of what she has is explainable because BOTH Adam and Kayla were in it together in the cover up.

I could go on about witness's testimony and more but that prison inmate yesterday, the woman, WOW. She would have done it for me as a juror. As far as witnesses, Kayla is needed since the only one with Adam and the kids and so on BUT she was awesome. And "Adam" was a good friend. Yet she told.

I could never catch up with all. Kayla probably has lied, and she is not well liked by me or any of us, but it has been long known they both should have been charged, but I've never had one bit of doubt Adam killed his daughter. And a lot of other corroborates it from his uncle's testimony and far more.

The testimony from that woman that said Adam hated Harmony, and at first it sounded like he meant he hated Crystal (mom) but that got clarified. He also said she urinated and pooped (to put it nicely on purpose) to do such to him (paraphrasing). I believe every word of that and it is triggering that kind of stuff for any person to hear.

Not that defense has t prove a thing about someone else but not one bit of testimony in all these hardship years and friends and drug acquaintenances etc. has Kayla putting one hand on Harmony. But there is testimony that Adam did.

What I don't know yet as I am still listening to the first closing is what time did htis go to the jury? I am guessing laet enough in the day. Court hadn't even started yet when I left for work. If things ae right, jury will come back tomorrow before lunch imo.

I've watched the entire trial & while I don't care enough about Kayla there is no doubt that AM killed Harmony. The State's closing was very powerful, imo. Like you, I think the jury will come back tomorrow with a verdict. Crystal has been there everyday in the front row and has listened to a lot of triggering information. Hopefully she'll be able to hang on to her sobriety.

Okay I just getting to prosecutin's closing first sentence and his first remark is let's quote people accurately! Thank goodness because that defense lawyer was NOT quoting what I saw in testimony AT ALL but making it up. I hate that kind of sh*t. Anyhow... I trust he is going to tear it apart.

Disliked her in trial too. Played same defense b.s. on people on the stand.

Yesterday I thought she seemed entirely out of it after the long weekend they had, noticeably so.

The prosecutor is very passionate & lays out the facts. He's worth listening to.

Ohhh not even five minutes in and he is GOOD. She was millktoast in comparison. He is hitting so many points. Impressed.

I could not watch this but this is the one all week and forever I have waited for and I am bent on spendindg every minute tonight seeing closings even tough I should be doing a ton of other things. Guilty verdict tomorrow and justice for Harmony!! I pray.

Good Lord is he GOOD at pointing out every single thing. Go get the "missing" Adam who should by the way HAVE to be in court. I had trouble getting through the defense closing. He is ready and impassioned and no problem listening to. Anyone who hasn't listened to the actual closing SHOULD as I am just starting to. Guaraneed a tired jury has no problem listening to this man. Imo.

The jury got the case at around 1:14 p.m. Wednesday. They began to deliberate after hearing more than two hours of closing arguments from both sides.

He should be required to be in that courtroom when they read the verdict. Ticks me off a little bit.
