Hmm. Started watching this. Have you been down a jon Benet rabbit hole today? not through it yet but a fair amount of minutes in.
Had a nap. Trying to wake up.
Burke is, I want to be nice, but a bit different let's say. I do recall him on Dr. Phil. He's a bit socially inept or something. Growing up under this whole thing probably didn't help.
But honestly the entire family is/was different and not representative imo of most people's lives.
But I doubt Burke staged but I guess the entire family could have been covering, for him or one of the others, hard to say.
Meaning, I don't think Burke carried her downstairs to the basement. I guess she may have went down herself when alive. I don't think at 9 he'd have thought to stage the scene I guess is another thing.
I think both parents know what happened though. And perhaps all three family members.
Jmo. And I get these people saying on the podcast why would John never have asked Burke this or that...
However, I've also heard things over years about the editing of shows like Dr. Phil and others and how they take things out and move answers to other questions in, for lack of a better term, like cutting and pasting. I'd rather see the entire raw footage.
I don't think anything here is going to get anyone charged or facing justice, but as always it is interesting I guess.
I've always leaned towards Patsy. Well I have explored the other things but always end up back there. I don't think this could have been done without her, or covered up if that's the case, for many a reason.
Boulder PD has a black eye over this and always will, actually let's say two of them. And the former DA who went against the Grand Jury's findings and shushed them.
Some think to this day it is one of the various three family members, some think an intruder, some think otherwise. It's just a big hot mess and personally I think was made to be that way intentionally. I recall hearing one of John's older kids was actually home, but we never have heard that officially. All sorts of sh*t and not due to the internet, I don't believe, just sh*t being put out there over the years. LE mishandled it badly.
For me, I am convinced PR wrote the note, just for one thing, and that means she did it or knew who did, and that means lied.
Here John seems to be lying, and not for the first time. You truly wouldn't talk to your only surviving family member about that night... Honestly, maybe not, but does seem odd you'd both go on a show without having ever done that. The show has been accused before of splicing things in--not sure if true or not.
It's a hard case with tons of rumors by now and conjecture. John's boss, older son, the housekeeper, you name it. Then later on, foreign DNA which I don't trust one bit.
I do think both corrupt and inept go on sometimes, not always, but at times and this is sure one case I think it in.
When I strip all away, I come back to the immediate family. I think most do, although of course there's some that don't.
And I generally land on Patsy. For many a reason I've probably said often enough so won't go into again. Doesn't mean it couldn't be someone else or she couldn't have been covering but I still lean towards her.
The woman imo was a hot mess and I honestly think she simply snapped on the child, and then some or all covered. There's tons of conspiracy theories, pedo rings, that they were selling her, etc. which I personally think is all b.s. and it comes back to the most common of things sadly. A stressed out mother, overly concerned about image, not able to live up to perfectionist standards, stressed out, and snapping on Christmas Eve which is a high stress time for many.
But I'm only repeating myself which I hate doing and bugs me actually, but was listening to the link. Not sure I'll finish it. Shall see.
So what are you thinking, that the son did it? Not saying it's impossible, just asking?
Me either. And that alone means she knew, regardless of who actually did it. I won't even go on about how stupid of a note it was, and the lack of fingerprints. I could talk of the mimicking of movies like Colby says about Lori in Daybell. Ridiculous stuff. Not real life.I have very little doubt that Patsy wrote the note. Other than that, I don't know.
I don't know that I've seen the actual writings? May have to catch up, not been the best days and haven't watched anything in a bit on that one. Have heard of some of what he said. So are the actual writings, notebook and manifesto available??When I read the reported writings of Luigi Mangioni- beginning with something about respect and country, I immediately thought of the note in this case, although in this case, it's the other way around, that is, the respect is for the business and not for the country.
The only writings I've read are what was posted in that thread. I'm not particularly interested in that case, it's just that I wanted to share what jumped out at me when I read the words respect and country, you know, that it's the same way the note in this case started out.I don't know that I've seen the actual writings? I guess I need to catch up on the CEO one. Have like I said heard things about the writings but not seen all of them.
Just to be clear, I'm not reading into it, I'm simply making an observation. But yeah love of business... Image. Of bonuses. Trappings.
It's not my kind of case either and even though I've read, not sure I have all and didn't know the respect and country part. Seriously. Even though I've seen a fair amount on it although not recently. The only writings I've read are what was posted in that thread. Joe Berlinger's the guest.
He speaks not only about the JonBenet Ramsey case but that of the WM3. For me, the case that came to my mind while watching the doc is that of Haleigh Cummings.
Not going to get to so if any thoughts on... And only if up to sharing them.Checking this out now.... been a rough day for me so just laying down listening to it
It was interesting. Definitely was worth listening to. I'm not up for typing much but I liked hearing his view on it, hearing about the WM3 haven't seen his documentaries on that case. I thought she asked good questionsNot going to get to so if any thoughts on... And only if up to sharing them.

For me, what opened my eyes as to what all can go wrong with the criminal justice system wasn't the WM3 case but that of Randall Adams, a case I learned about from the documentary, The Thin Blue Line (1988).
Berlinger mentioned Brother's Keeper, which I also recommend.
