JONBENET RAMSEY: Found dead in Boulder, Colorado on Christmas Day 1996 - Age 6

I'm not sure he's the guy who killed her. I think we'll find out it's all BS. He said he accidentally split her skull. We know she was garroted. Never a mention of a skull fracture.

ETA: She did have a head wound.

I haven't watched any of them but I have seen two shows now that have headlines of a new confession in this case. I think one was Court TV. I'm guessing it is a big nothing or the news would be all over the place. I'm not having the best day and am trying to calm myself so haven't watched. Thought I'd mention though if anyone wants to or to see if anyone else knows anything about it. I'm having trouble even functioning or making posts. Big anxiety for some reason :( Well I know why but still... It's like incapacitating and I have things I need to do. Big time.

Anyhow, some new confession supposedly.

If the parents weren't involved, they did EVERYTHING they could in order to look guilty.

No, I don't think so. We knew of him and he's not new. This sounded like something new just yesterday or thereabouts. Like I said, I didn't go into the videos but first it was Court TV and then I saw another YTer had it who I didn't know of (the YTer) when I was refreshing to find Long Island stuff, etc.
Court TV had it too, but it's the same guy and the same old confession. Not sure why it's making another cycle.

Video from today

The link on the video links to an article from January

That figures.

I saw Court TVs headline on it first and wasn't too excited and figured I'd take a look maybe after awhile. Then some time later I saw YTer unknown to me with a similar headline as if new. That was what made me think it was something new and someone new or wonder anyhow. She probably just picked it up from Court TV or something not realizing it was old then.

Fresh eyes and fresh dna-genealogy science?
(wondering how many fresh eyes have been on this case over the last 3 decades?)

I don't follow this case and won't comment ... but ... this popped up on me today and I thought of those that do follow this case so ... here ya go:

I still believe that Burke did it and the parents were covering up. Who writes a LONG ransom note while in a house kidnapping a child? Who keeps trying over and over again and throwing out the practice notes into the trash?

Yeah for me it is a family member also, I go back and forth as to which one/s. Everything else is pure sn*w to distract. The note was major stupidity but hey, despite it no one was arrested right... No stranger wrote that note, Patsy did. No stranger sat in their house with her notepad with no worries in the world about being caught and wrote that note. No stranger took JB down to THEIR basement. I could go on and on and on

If they claimed this solved, I'd not buy the answer. Ever. Unless they finally gave the true solution.

It is obvious and always has been it was family. It just goes to show you what people with connections can get away with and how people can come to believe otherwise when it is as obvious as one's hand in front of one's own face.

Of course out there and likely in here, some will disagree as it has been poorly investigated, twisted, covered/obfuscated from the start and through the years with help from some.

Defrost the windshield AND scrape it too in this one and it is obvious.

I don't know why they even bother any more putting out some new supposed news or angle.

No one came into or out of that house in that time frame other than family and IF anyone did, it was WITH family and knowledge of family.

I leave less than 1 percent chance of it being otherwise and they are going to have to SHOW me video of them arriving, doing so, exiting and writing the note or forcing Patsy to do so (didn't happen but even if so it would make her a liar) before I will be convinced. I do go back and forth on just who it was in the family but I am convinced all three weer/are in the know or came to be so.

And they couldn't have been more blessed with such a police department. AND higher ups.

The DA at the time said the Ramsey's would never be arrested while she was in office. There's more too it, but I'm really tire and headin' to beddin'. I just et.

BOULDER, Colorado (CNN) -- Police found part of a "practice" ransomnote at the home of JonBenet Ramsey, the 6-year-old found strangledin her basement, CNN confirmed on Wednesday.

The practice note and the actual ransom note found in the home of John and Patricia Ramsey were written on paper from the same legal pad. The actual ransom note demanded $118,000 for the return of the girl.

JonBenet's body was found December 26 in the basement of her family's Boulder home. Patricia Ramsey said she found the ransom note about eight hours before the discovery.

The author of the actual note appeared to be attempting to disguise his or her handwriting at first, but abandoned the attempt as the note went on, unnamed sources told The Rocky Mountain News and The Denver Post.

Police reportedly found the practice note and the legal pad during their search of the Ramseys' Boulder home. On Tuesday, a judge ordered the court-approved search warrant for that home sealed for30 days.

Police are also searching the Ramseys' Charlevoix, Michigan, vacation home for evidence of threats against the family, according to Denver television station KUSA.

Police chief to speak

A source close to the case said Wednesday that John Ramsey was questionedfor four hours at the Boulder Police Department two days after his 6-year-olddaughter was found dead at their home. His wife, Patricia, spent 1 1/2 hours talking to police the same day, thesource said. It was during these sessions that the couple gave police hair, blood andhandwriting samples, the source said. Leslie Aaholm, spokeswoman for the city who has been handling the newsmedia in the investigation, told CNN she has no knowledge of the sessions withthe Ramseys at police headquarters.

Police chief to speak

Boulder Police Chief Tom Koby announced will make his firstpublic comments on the case to the citizens of Boulder at 7 p.m.Thursday (9 p.m. ET) in remarks to be aired on the local municipal cablestation.
He will then be questioned by five Boulder newspaper reporters. Thatalso will be telecast live by the cable station.

To be clear, I don't think Burke meant to kill her. I think he hit her with the flashlight and John and Patsy went into cover up mode.
