JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

I am going to put this here as well as on a couple of the cases because Scott ran the gamut of cases tonight. It was a really good show:

Scott's always good and very informative legally but some shows strike me more than others or some have cases I follow and some don't. Tonight, wow, this one just struck me really good. He is in high form with cutting remarks and humor. He covered, Stauch, touched on Vallow, covered Murdaugh and says this is going far bigger and it is a criminal enterprise they had going on. He said the bank in question has been there throughout since like 1903 or something and guaranteed the bank guy that got let go will likely need to flip on Murdaugh as banks were involved, lawyers, etc. in this money scheme. I AM paraphrasing.

He covered Durst and made no bones about what type of man he was (not a good one). Just a really good show!

Letecia apparently thinks she should not be required to be in court as it stresses her out. Oh well poor child. Maybe you shouldn't have murdered an innocent child!! I highly recommend watching this one for all of the cases. I probably missed a couple cases even he covered. And it's not all that long either. There is more info on the Stauch than what I mentioned as well.

Don't know. We have to wait 50 more minutes to find out.
I thought maybe there was a hearing today or something. I wouldn't have known if there was. Haven't been near the "news" or YT, etc. I should be able to watch it or at least have the sound on while finishing something up. Again, thanks for the heads up!

Prosecutors ask Boyce to keep Daybell trial in Fremont County

It’s estimated that it will cost Upper Valley taxpayers nearly $700,000 to move the Chad and Lori Vallow-Daybell murder trial to Ada County.

Prosecutors and law enforcement filed paperwork last week with Seventh District Court Judge Steven Boyce stating what the cost to local taxpayers is expected to be should the trial be moved from Fremont County. Last year, Boyce cited intense media coverage concerning the Daybells in the community and ordered the Daybells’ trial held in Ada County.

Prosecutors say holding Daybell trial in east Idaho will be cheaper than moving it to Ada County

Prosecutors in the Chad and Lori Vallow Daybell murder case are making their argument to transport a jury from Ada County to Fremont County.

Madison County Prosecutor Rob Wood and Fremont County Prosecutor Lindsey Blake filed court documents Thursday comparing the costs of having a trial in Fremont County versus having a trial across the state in Ada County. In October, Boyce ruled proceedings should be held in Ada County after Chad Daybell's attorney John Prior argued significant media attention would affect the ability to find a fair and unbiased jury in Fremont County.

But the county officials say moving the case comes with significant costs.

"The economic benefits to the people of Fremont and Madison County outweigh any benefits for trying the (matter) in a single case in Ada County," prosecutors write. "… Caselaw provides no evidence that a criminal defendant's right to a fair trial by an impartial panel of the peers encompasses the right to try the case in a particular courthouse or courtroom."

I see no reason they can't bus in a jury at far lower cost and trouble. This case is known far and wide as it is, heck there have been more TV shows on it before tried than any I can recall in recent history. And as much as I wanted to watch some of them, I'm honestly to this day not sure some family members and more were wise to participate before these two are tried. The point is though, what is the difference if the jury is bused in than the defense thinking it needs to be held in Ada? Just looking for a denial of what they insist on for appeal's sake probably. I don't know why defense would care otherwise since they got the Ada jury either way... Reporters will travel to either county.

Prosecutors will not charge Chad Daybell for attempted murder of Arizona man

Prosecutors in Arizona will not file conspiracy to commit murder charges against Chad Daybell in the attempted shooting case of Brandon Boudreaux, Lori Vallow Daybell’s former nephew-in-law.

“After a lengthy and careful review of the charge of conspiracy to commit murder on Chad Daybell, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has decided to turn down the case citing no reasonable likelihood of conviction,” the statement said.

The Gilbert Police Department forwarded the case to the county attorney in November. Prosecutors have not yet announced if Lori will face charges in connection to the October 2019 shooting.

I can possibly see this if they can't show anything to connect him even though I think it quite possible he was at least in the "know" but that one did seem more Alex, Lori and Mel P (Boudreaux) and I HOPE they have something on those two women or enough to convict. Alex of course is dead. Brandon is still alive to testify and many millions richer. I sometimes wonder about the $$ things here... Not going to go down that rabbit hole but it is strange...

As time goes on, I am more and more convinced that Chad is trying to sever more than just his murder trial from his wife. After the way his kids were talking, I feel like his defense is going to be that he was manipulated by Lori and Alex.
I'm not sure about that. He is still married to Lori & remember he believes that he was married to her in a former life. As bizarre as this sounds to most, we have to keep in mind that these people think and believe very differently than we do.

It wouldn't surprise me and it sure seems this is the story he gave his family and others so why not use it in trial as well...

He wouldn’t wanna divorce her until after the trial. That would be a bad strategy. This is just my hunch, we’ll see what happens.

I see what you're saying but I think the two knew full well the "con" they were playing on others. And Chad quite quickly tried to act as if he didn't know Lori, never mentioned being married to her, etc. when the cops showed up looking for the kids at the Rexburg apartment...
