Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Guesses? I'm going with still incompetent. This seems to be a six month check. If she was sane, I imagine they would have submitted reports sooner.
I sure hope not. The families deserve justice. I also have to wonder if this continues how a judge can keep denying Chad from severing his case from hers. I don't want it granted but isn't his also delayed then because of this? Maybe I don't have that right but I thought so, at least with the initial charges...

I just came across this live on Scott's channel. I have no idea what it is for. I thought they just had a hearing and the judge denied severance. They are on break right now. I'll be back once I know what it is about, etc. But here for anyone wanting to watch:

State doesn't have their brief done. Judge gives them two more weeks. Even so, she is prepared for verbal argument of the issue. This does though tell me we won't see a decision today or likely for a few more weeks at least I imagine. Hearing is ongoing though right now with "arguments".

Thanks for keeping us informed!
You bet. Been so nuts in my life I've had to rely on others to keep me informed when I can't read links or watch things and I still don't have much time but finding a few minutes here here and there now and just trying to return the favor and share some links on cases, etc.

I had the sound on but got sidetracked but can say this, I believe State has to submit a brief and then I think Prior gets to counter it so more time and then a decision so in other words, no decision made today. I should have listened closer to the argument but I'll say this, the woman for the State had a lot of case law she was citing, etc. so seemed pretty well prepared. And she said she thought they could even file by like Monday but judge gave them longer and I think it remained that way.

The only other thing I guess of note was Prior did some argument at the hearing but said he submitted most in his brief so it is hard to compare what she verbally argued to his written brief the Court has.

I imagine Scott will do a recap of the hearing.

To follow up to the earlier, here is Scott's take on it, he did do a recap. It's about the first 12 minutes.

He says the order for dismissal pretty much claims grand jury misconduct.

Didn't give a real opinion of whether there is misconduct and a lot of the briefs and grand jury stuff are sealed so he commented on what the prosecution argued today to guess pretty much what Prior was claiming.

He was pretty critical of the prosecutor where I thought she was doing good citing a lot of case law etc. and was prepared and he said it was overkill basically (paraphrasing) and that he couldn't understand why they needed more time to file their brief, etc. Just shows what I know (nothing lol) but then he IS a defense attorney. Anyhow here it is.

I've done some searching and all I come up with is old hearings but there was a hearing on Lori today, it's a fact as a friend told me first this a.m. and now I heard it on Crime Talk. It wasn't televised and things were sealed it sounds like. Believe it is about her mental status/psych report. Scott says we don't know but may know more in a day or a few if they move her or if an order is issued, etc...

I do have his link and it's the first thing on it after his sponsor ad.
