JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

• April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
• December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
• February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
• February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
• June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
• July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
• August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
• September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
• September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
• September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
• September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
• October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
• October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
• October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
• October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
• Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
• November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
• November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
• December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
• December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
• December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
• January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
• January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

Netflix is apparently doing a three part series called "Sins of Our Mother". In it for one, is a recorded phone call between Colby and Lori. Supposedly some things like that in it never heard or seen. To begin on September 14th.

Scott says he doesn't know what they might add not already known but I know I don't think I've heard the phone call. Heard of it but not heard it all. I have no idea who the things are coming from, Colby? Lori? Elsewhere. There was such a dump of info from some of the police departments etc. awhile back or at least its release I doubt it all has been gone through or that I saw it all or maybe don't recall. This case is soooooo much of everything, people, names, deaths, more.

I guess there is a trailer out. I don't have time to look for it but if anyone does there is one somewhere. It is 4: a.m. here and need to get some sleep, sorry or I'd look.

IF family or someone like that released any of the things in the Netflix series, it goes to what I said in the somewhat recent past. Sealing things and pretrial publicity may be a factor the judge is doing that for, but there have been so many documentaries, such information release by some AND family talking on shows and more that it isn't just media. Lifetime had a movie. I think any show that does these things probably like Inside Edition, 48 hours, etc, haven't they all had one? Now Netflix.

The one thing referred to was already known, the speech at I think the Mrs. America or whatever it was about being a good mother and it being important to her...

Scott does say he doesn't know what could be new that isn't already known but was the phone call with Colby ever heard or was it available for awhile but no one ever asked for it before? I HAD heard of some of what was in it.

He says cameras COULD have zoomed in if they had written anything, violating attorney client privilege. They didn't. He says they could record private conversations or share them. They didn't. He wants them banned based on "ifs". Typical defense attorney stuff imo. Doesn't mean he won't get his way though, hard to say.

I'm sure they don't like it, their client's every move or reaction is studied and remarked on and imo so what. She is the defendant and is on trial for murder and that's how it is. And she sure can't get her behavior and fake attempted concerned reactions or anything else quite right or even close...

This also isn't anything new but of course she hasn't always had to appear in court.

And let's just add another hearing in to delay everything or clog up the court's time and calendar.

Who was the camera on a lot in the Arias case? Jody Arias of course. It isn't unusual. Her attorneys shielded her as best they could of course and these attorneys can try to do the same and know enough to shield their notes and such although cameras and news should not show such things and in this case they haven't so that argument is moot.

All that said, it doesn't mean a judge won't give the defendants their way. Too often done these days imo.

One can about guess why that would be. That she had him charged in the first place is somewhere most women have had a reason and right to go to but hesitate because of the relationship and particularly if the father of their children and one they were married to or had a relationship with. They also worry they will not be belived or others will think well he is your husband, etc. and not give it much weight.

I honestly do not know what I think of these two even prior to this. It is just an instinct but I definitely did not like a few things I felt in watching at times. I put it down to who raised him and the fact both of them are young parents and haven't found their way in the world yet. Try to give the benefit of the doubt in other words.

As to Colby himself, there are questions relating to the case and vehicle Lori "gave" him that went missing and was "cleaned" if I have it right or recall correctly.

I will say though anyone raised by that woman I have some real sympathy for. But it doesn't excuse his own choices as an adult.

I do have to wonder if any pressure was put on either of them to drop this... Typically the male would pressure the woman to do so just as in domestic violence but I mean because of Lori\'s case...

It does seem like it. And if he lied as a child because of a manipulative mother, I can understand that and if they hold that as their own thing that he is to never tell, I even could get that to a point but not at this point. If it didn't happen, he should come clean as the man (Joe) does not deserve such a thought about him even if not a perfect man or stepdad. It did sound like Joe had a temper and could be borderline abusive if not maybe abusive just based on what his sister says and was at least back in the day a perfectionist type, things had to be right (if my memory serves me).

I have no sympathy for Lori but do suspect maybe in her early years she hoped for a perfect type of man she never quite got and I think she became bitter after a failure or two of them. But I also think she brought a dynamic in and ended up with a type of man who saw her a certain way and she used the wrong things to attract them, i.e., looks, sexuality and probably also the put on at a certain point of perfect mother, perfect wife, etc. and when she didn't get perfection or even good enough in her book in return or worse they were mortal and NOT nearly perfect enough, she does a slow burn. I think she offers herself but then resents feeling like their property quite honestly. Just my instinct but I could be way off base.

Anyhow, back to Colby, I honestly don't have total trust in him. Something about him doesn't sit as if he is truthful and not just with the Joe thing. AT least not openly honest and truthful. On their channel they don't outright solicit for money but there was often a woebegone story and then money came... I didn't get the sense either was working or working hard at anything and I don't honestly know how they were getting by. Last I knew they were moving to be closer to her family, said they had no choice,, etc. but they couldn't find a decent place and didn't have the funds, etc. And then they did and they thanked God for when you need it he comes through but I also think people gave, I don't know.

There are questions about him with regard to the vehicle and it missing at a point. I can't recall who but someone in the circle or who covers the case well is not a fan of his. I almost want to say it is one of the family members, not Annie I don't think, and not Kay, etc. Not sure. Memory fails me. It could be someone who reports on it and knows the facts well... I hate to say as I can't recall but it relates to the vehicle and a few things in the case.

I am not outright knocking him as I don't know, I mean look who he had as a mother and what she did to their family and put him through. And he is young as is his wife. Trying to make their way and figure things out all with this in the background or forefront actually...
