Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events
  • April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
  • December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
  • February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
  • February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
  • June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
  • July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
  • August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
  • September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
  • September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
  • September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
  • September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
  • October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
  • October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
  • October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
  • October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
  • Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
  • November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
  • November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
  • December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
  • December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
  • December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
  • January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
  • January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

Yes a long time coming and so many charges. Much murder and mayhem.

EIGHT weeks of trial. This is going to be a long one. That will take us into JUNE.

Last night when I had some rare time to listen to and want to watch something related to these cases, there really wasn't much. It was Easter, the weekend and Vallow hasn't started and Stauch I am basically caught up with and West was on pause and is quiet, etc.

I finally settled on one that was basically a recap on Vallow for the most part but I actually heard some things that I may have heard before but not so sure I have. The channel holder has family contacts and I trust the info.

She feels Lori does have schizophrenia and has some other opinions I'm not sure I agree with but that's besides the point.

For one thing, I gather Lori never wanted JJ and did not want to adopt him or take him on. She was basically pushed/railroaded into it by Charles. It is said she never bonded with him. As we know, she always referred to him as the drug baby of Charles' brother or something on that order.

Charles was the breadwinner and also gone on the road five days a week earning that "bread" and all fell on Lori. As JJ got older, it was even harder to care for him, etc. Paraphrasing. When they were falling apart, she never wanted JJ is what was also said. She took Tylee and fled to Hawaii and didn't want JJ and made Charles take him. We know Charles did have him. She never tried to visit JJ in that time etc.

It wasn't easy for Charles, with work, etc. and he had few options and he called Lori and asked if he rented her a home and paid for it, etc. if she would take and care for JJ. She agreed but also made it clear they were over, this wasn't to be something where the thought he could also come stay there, they would get back together, etc. Again paraphrasing. By this time, he had already been trying to get her committed, etc. and things had been nasty between the two on both sides and STILL he let her have JJ or asked her to take him... Doesn't speak perfectly of Charles by any means.

The man does sound somewhat controlling, not to speak ill of the dead or victim. It is said their early years were pretty good, both were into fitness, Charles made good money and both were a bit on the materialistic side. Tylee and JJ were a bit older and Lori for the first time had some time to herself, etc. but then was forced into taking JJ who was young and needed full time care. Her hub was gone all of the time and more which didn't help the marriage/situation.

It also went into people who say Chad was not led by Lori and that Chad often had 5 to 10 church women at the same time going and he used the same lines on ALL of them including Lori when he met her. He convinced the church women they were not cheating on their spouses BECAUSE they were married in a past life, etc.

It reminded that it was CHAD who said Charles was inhabited by another evil man, a man who truly existed at another time, and not a good man. Wasn't it Ned Schneider or some such, I can't recall. Let's remember that it was Chad who also labeled the kids as dark. I am not giving Lori one ounce of sympathy but it does seem Chad is picking the targets and Lori buys into all his stuff of course and had.

Many do say it was like Lori changed totally after meeting Chad almost like a switch flipped.

Chad was no choir boy. Those that think he was led astray by some blonde are off base and I actually agree with that. Chad had many of the same things already going on when he met Lori. He was already claiming visions, leading, writing books, telling Tammy of his visions from beyond and hearing from her grandma on top of that to get her to do as he wanted which included moving to Rexburg which she hadn't wanted but he convinced her with a vision, etc. This part is from me/paragraph. He was already cheating. He was already conning. Etc. Lori wasn't his first "blonde" I'm sure. Take this with a grain of salt but I see a lot of blondes in the Mormon religion. Or efforts to be or remain blonde. Just look at this case. Lori's mom. Mel Gibb. Mel P. Lori. She bleached Tylee when little. None of that matters, I'm just saying if Chad was cheating with many church women at a time, I'm sure there were blondes. Interesting to me actually that Tammy was brunette.

I don't mean the above as any generalization or mean comment on the faith, just pointing out the assumption that Chad never cheated with another blonde I think is unlikely.

I don't like the man's very silence and ways, letting her take the brunt of everything while he acts like some cuckold. And I think much of this is right on.

Not sure where I'm going with this or if I even have a point. And there was more but just pointing some things out that certainly weren't just Lori including in the marriage with Charles. He was trying to get her temple membership or whatever taken away, a SERIOUS thing to Lori, important thing, he took her purse, etc., was trying to get her mentally committed. She also of course did things to him, taking his truck, money, etc. and ended up killing him, yes. It also wasn't just Lori in the things with Chad.

The weird things Charles started seeing from Lori came after Lori met Chad....

Anyhow, again, I don't really have a point...

While I don’t agree with their reasoning, I’m glad they were honest about it. It’s people like this that don’t disclose that mess up a jury pool.

Yep. There was another lady who googled to see how far they were on picking a jury as she had a trip planned, a flight that couldn't be refunded, etc. and she hadn't been up yet out of the big pool so was wondering if she could do the trip and/or be back before they'd get to her or IF they'd get to her etc. She found that they only needed a few more jurors and felt safe in thinking she wouldn't be needed or at least not right away.

She made it through to private questioning outside of the jury by judge and counsel, etc. She said she could be fair and all else and prosecution questioned her and then defense as to if she saw anything else in article she found on number of jurors, etc., etc. I THINK if I recall, both sides passed her or were okay with her but judge sent her on her way and he had a good reason. They were told from outset NOT to google case, do such and she HAD no matter what her valid reason. So he doubted her ability to not do that during trial if she already had broken that rule. Paraphrasing of course.

Kudos to her for telling the truth and I have to agree with Boyce on it. I felt she was fine but his point was valid. She did what they weren't supposed to.
 
Alibi for kids. She was in her apt. while Alex killed JJ and Tylee in his apt. Since when do we believe the kids were killed at the same time...

David Warwick was with her, Melanie G. and/or Chad. NO idea what the and/or with Chad is. Does it depend on whether he agrees or not lol.
 
Reading posts quickly, I don't dare get sucked in, I have things I HAVE to get done today BUT sounds like Larry isn't testifying so they are both attending the trial and not sequestered.
 
You followed this one didn't you? How can you not know who Alex is? Many details and two Mels etc. but most know who Chad, Lori and Alex are... They married him off to Zulema, the hurricane conjurer.... Then he died at her house.

Stating where each victim was last seen. All that was left of Tylee was charred remains. JJ was found wrapped in duct tape and garbage bags around his arms legs and face. We are seeing photos.

Lori was in Hawaii when Tammy died and Chad and Lori were married in Hawaii 17 days later. Many financial transactions. So many dates. So many events.

Lori and Chad decided day they met that they knew each other in multiple Probations. Believed spirits were light and dark. They held castings “The common theme was the body had to be destroyed.”
 
I have always suspected (just guessing/speculation) that Lori and Chad had contact before the story of their meeting. I can't prove it of course but I've always suspected such for various reasons. It is only per Mel Gibb as far as I know as to when they met (in PERSON)... Not sure I buy it...
 
Alex Cox would do anything for his sister. He was a warrior and here to protect Lori. When Lori would talk about people being light or dark she would talk about her own daughter being dark. We will here these moments during trail. Same with JJ. Lori said he was dark and possessed

Lori thought she was a translated being and taught others they were being translated. She manipulated people. Her friend did not question her or or chads actions, as she was convincing

Audrey is being brought up. Someone we have heard a lot about, but haven’t heard from. We will hear from her during this trail and hear a lot about her. Chad and Lori stayed with Audrey
 
INTERESTING. HTC:

We will hear how Chad introduced Lori to his kids, to his neighbors, and we will hear from those neighbors and how Chad couldn’t keep his hands off her and how he explained lori had a daughter who recently died and not mentioning her son JJ. Nothing about step kids.
