Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

JJ’s hands were bind and duct taped in front of his body. Photos shown to jury.

The foregoing was prosecution. Defense opening up next.

I did skip a couple of tweets we knew of like Chad and Lori taking off for HI once welfare check on JJ initiated and Mel G's recording of a conversation they had.

Defense here on out: From HTC.

Evidence will show she was a kind and loving mother and that she has an interest in religion and the end times and biblical prophecies. Evidence will show that once Lori and friends met Chad, her beliefs began to change and that’s where the stories diverge

Some babble about conspirac;y who was, part, who wasn't, do they know, etc. And then this.

So the question is: Did Lori kill? Insist? Encourage? Command? This conspiracy charge is technically saying: they don’t know what happened. Did she do something? Did she talk about something? That’s the challenge for jury & they’ll need to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt

Actually I shared the few things up top before I went in order re Lori's alibi from defense, etc. I gather Kay is first person up.

Kay explains they received custody of grandson JJ (then named Canaan) as newborn due to drugs in his system. Charles wanted to adopt Canaan and asked Kay. Kay and Larry debated and chose to go forward due to Charles and Lori’s life style—active in community and church, siblings

Canaan’s name was changed to JJ after adoption, part of adoption request was maintaining relationship as JJ’s grandparents and being a big part of life. Kay and Larry stayed a big part of JJ’s life

Kay met Lori’s family —parents, siblings and met Alex Cox a handful of times. Always continued to visit JJ in Hawaii and Arizona. Would see Tylee at the house. A good sister to JJ, but would often go to her grandparents Janis and Barry Cox when the woodcocks visited.

Lori was a good mom, an engaged mom, would reinforce to JJ that Larry and Kay were Jj’s grandparents. “She was a good mom from everything I could see” Kay says. “Charles was hands-on and had JJ when he was home from business.”

2019: Charles called Kay and explained he and Lori were splitting up, he was distraught and Kay went to help with JJ, because Lori was gone. Kay nor Charles knew where Lori was. Kay took JJ to Louisiana back and forth to Arizona. Charles moved to Houston.

Charles moved to Houston 3/2019 to be closer to family. 150 miles from Kay Woodcock and Kay states she would go to Houston to stay with JJ for a few days at a time while Charles worked as financial planner

Kay started helping Charles with his payroll and business per his request and her history in running businesses and she had access to Charles emails and banking info and other financial info

Rob Wood asks Kay if Lori would ever stay in Houston? Occasionally, but In June 2019 Charles established a home for Lori in Arizona Charles was intending to divorce Lori but it was never finalized

Wood: Did Charles have a life insurance policy? Kay: Yes. Charles called Kay and asked her to be beneficiary. He requested Kay use money to raise JJ because Lori didn’t want him anymore, and to give some to his adult sons, which she states she did.

After Charles death Kay states she received money within a week after Charles death because insurance company called her. Lori contacted Kay by text after Kay received money, from Lori’s number.

Wood asks about last time Kay saw JJ. She saw him at his birthday party 2019, and that was last time she saw JJ in person. She has a phone call or two after that, and after Charles passed away on 7/11/2019 she had contact 3 times (FaceTimes)

JJ normally has phone and walks around, but he didn’t have device in hands, someone was holding phone for him, and it was very short call and he would look up at whoever was holding phone was they seemed to tell him what to do.45 seconds

Next time they FaceTimed JJ was in bad mood and then the last FaceTime was august 10, 2019, and it was short again, and he was not holding device, and he said hello mawmaw, hello Pawpaw, then JJ looked at person holding device and stated he had to go. This was last contact

Kay states that Lori agreed JJ could attend Charles memorial service in Louisiana and they had tickets to Phoenix to pick JJ up and fly to Louisiana, then have him for a week, and fly him back. But JJ didn’t attend. He was not allowed to go
