Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

I'm thinking that Lori would never have put up with Tylee having that money when she loves money and was allegedly hard up, any more than she'd let her have a Jeep that costs that much at 17... I'm thinking that Tylee was not maybe happy if and when her mother took over the money (that's IF it was Tylee telling Colby that, I don't know the time frame off hand)... It just adds to the whole financial motive and maybe Tylee giving her mom some grief over what she considered to be/knew to be money for HER, not for Lori...

Didn't Lori tell her she was dark and Tylee said something like oh no, mom, NOT ME... I take that to mean she knew what happened to those that were dark, they ended up dead... She was likely panicked.

On the other hand, she COULD have meant it as NOT ME, meaning MOM is the one that is dark...
I think the only reason Tylee had her own account in the first place is because it was suggested by Charles.

The B after Melanie stands for b***h right? Because she is one. That woman's other side came through in a few things...

I vaguely I think remember this. What were they doing in Kansas City? It seems to me if I recall Lori traveled in an odd way I think trying to throw off investigators before going to Hawaii. Or was it when Chad took his kids on that trip...? Yeah, Mel B being with her on that date says a lot don't you think? THAT woman was not clueless or innocent in all this. No way, no how. I don't believe it with Mel G either.
Mel B/P idolized Lori almost as much as Alex did.

Did they ever get Charles phone? Not just the records, but the actual phone? Lori admitted to taking it and that first caused the argument, etc.

I know the case inside and out but details have leaked out, too many, where I can't bring them to mind easily any more at least with dates, times and certain small details.
I took it to mean that they’ve never found his phone.

But what was said showed clearly it wasn't self defense! Self defense doesn't allow time for you to walk down a hall and get your gun. And that's just for one thing.
If someone came over to my house, and my son was visiting, let’s say, and then they got into an altercation and one of them had some kind of a weapon like a knife, I could go into my bedroom and get my firearm and if the knife looked like it was going to be a threat to kill my son, damn straight I would use it.

I think they didn’t call 911 until they came up with this kind of a scenario to use as an alibi.

I wonder who got to hit Alex with a baseball bat?

A good friend of Alex's said that Alex was a softball player and if he hit someone with a bat their head would come clean off.

Day 13 of the trial and I'll be pulling what's interesting from my perspective again. Please look at the link for ALL of Nate's notes during the trial as there might be something that interests you!

They are starting out day 13 with more testimony about the day Charles was murdered.

9:04 a.m. Alex told Moffatt multiple times that he was not at the house to protect Lori. But Lori was in another room being questioned and told her interviewing detective that she had called Alex over the night before to protect her from Charles.

Their stories don't jive and this isn't a red flag? I hate to sound like a broken record, but the fact they didn't arrest Alex that day will forever piss me off.

He would most likely still be alive now if they had.

Do you have any idea how much paperwork would be involved in calling it murder?

Further proof that Lori thought she was the beneficiary to Charles' life insurance.

9:12 a.m. Blake asks Moffatt if finances are often a motive for homicide. He says yes. Moffatt says they learned Charles had a $1 million policy and there had been a recent change in the beneficiary. It had recently been changed from Lori to Kay Woodcock. When Moffatt contacted the insurance company on July 17, he learned Lori had tried to file a claim. It was denied and Lori never received a payout.
