JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events

There you go. The church were fine with it. I really appreciate you listening and reporting back so I don't have to LOL. Very interesting.
I picked some high points but there are definitely things I didn't share that are also interesting. Worth a listen if you ever do have the chance.

Yeah this remark could be taken a couple of ways. Did he mean Tammy's murder and the missing kids or did he mean his books, what he was "preaching" and his visions, etc....

Thing that also stood out to me was that most of the town and church sided with Chad against her, like there were two sides, and according to her, she didn't start the investigation the school it sounded like and then the missing kids got all going...

She and her husband are rich I take it or at least well off and worked hard for it I gather and Chad seemed jealous of it and more. She lived nearby, they still do to Chad's home.

The church and bishops, etc. do not show in a good light in this. She herself had a fairly high position in the church if I understood it correctly. There is a lot packed into this video. So many other things.

It is pretty clear to me the church and its teachings play into this. Just the polygamy part alone is not talked of, how often do we hear of that in this case (basically never) and I've always felt lurking in the background. Chad is bent on the old teachings of the church. Joseph Smith was a polygamist. The prepping and 144k is not unique to Chad either. The entire faith was built on a vision Joseph Smith had and he was believed and all many members think it takes is to have such and claim such to be of import. Not wording right but I think most will know what I mean.

There were many little and big nuggets in it and there were definite rifts in the community and in family. There also was some pretty good humor in it mostly at Chad's expense lol.

I gather he was always an odd duck and a self interested one, never asking about anyone else or how they were doing, just going on about his books.

Anyhow, it gave a pretty good picture of what was going on even in Rexburg after and yet it is Rexburg that still has control of his case. It may be held in Boyce but still has a local judge and prosecutors. I guess it is county but I mean still that area.

There are also a couple of things that bother me in it that I'm not going to voice, maybe others will have the same questions about a couple of things... It's an instinctual thing after watching many LDS or former LDS speak to this and things in this case(s). All are quite well spoken I will say that.

It's interesting that Chad was the poor Mormon of the family and seemed to embrace such and claim such doesn't matter but yet he was after money and power. As he said, his new woman was "hot and loaded"...

She received a subpoena from Mark Means. Apparently she sent an email out about the church. Its included in the subpoena. She has left the church now, I believe. I wonder if she is going to be a witness in Lori's trial?

i wonder. She would definitely be likely in Chad's I think. While knowing of the marriage, remarks by Chad, questions about Tammy, things that went on in the family, the kids' reactions, etc., I didn't hear much that would indicate she has evidence of their plots or Lori in a conspiracy to kill the kids, Tammy, etc. I think she definitely thinks that but doesn't have any evidence of it. Not sure they'd call her in Lori's just for that reason although it would definitely confirm the way they married quickly after Tammy, etc. I just don't think she has any direct evidence as to Lori. She learned of all after the fact/murders, etc. and that of course has her remembering things about Chad and Tammy in hindsight, but again nothing that would necessarily convict Lori.

I think the letter could be part of the reason why there was a venue change.
Definitely a possibility. It sure wouldn't have helped. The church is such a big part of this case that I don't think in the reverse way you can get away from that part of it. Maybe more likely in Boise, not sure, but their influence is everywhere.

Didn't know about this either. The LDS church sent out a letter telling members to contact them before testifying.

Isn't that interesting and alarming... It rings a faint bell...

It likely isn't all that unusual probably though, just interesting it is a church. Insurance companies, I don't doubt hospitals, etc. likely send out similar things but that is when insurance is involved and a business could be sued, etc. Not quite the way it seems or sounds with this though, by a church...

My memory is foggy on it but it seems to me there was something when Lori was in hospital about church involvement or her calling or being able to have calls with the church or them trying to contact her, don't quote me, I can't recall exactly what it was or how it went but when Means was involved, he wasn't worried about calling the church out or at least danced with it where you can bet others would never dare to go there.

Overall, like I said earlier, the church is and always has been the big elephant in the room throughout this case and it is like, no surprise, no one dares to go there. A few have, but I doubt with ALL of it, like with the cousins... Not in depth anyhow.

Didn't they find out she had talked to an LDS attorney from the mental hospital or something?

Yes, that's what it was!! It was just on the edge of my memory, I knew there was something that at the time and it wasn't given a ton of attention but it just didn't seem right and related to the church.

Did they contact her or she them... Seems they did...?

No, I specifically looked for them. It may not be up to date though, and it's wiki so anyone can edit it.
Pretty far from accurate then I'd say. Interesting that the very people most want to confirm this past year or so don't show up.

Just randomly searching and some names from the past caught my eye.

Christopher Parrott
Hector Sosa
Jason Mow

I vividly remember Christopher Parrett freaking out when the children's bodies were found and very publicly washing his hands of Chad.
While they all sound a bit familiar, Jason Mow is the one that stands out to me. I have thought throughout that he just quietly went by the wayside and/or LE let him...

Many were dancing together imo... And yeah, just where did they all go...

Someone asked Nate if he and Lori are friends... Wow uhm no. I'm sure he'd be friendly to her if she granted an interview and be fair, but what a dumb question. Imo.

I just want to see justice done for this evil pair. I don't care about her hair or her eyebrows but I am interested in things like the shackles and her demeanour in court but of course we are not able to see that unfortunately.

I would like to see the LDS church leaders address these beliefs (about the leading of the 144k and the prepping and all that stuff) which led to these murders in the first place.
Not sure what they need to address? They have excommunicated Chad, which says they don’t believe in his wild ideas.
