JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

So people in the closet can jump around? Tom C. and John T. must love that!!

Well, there was no victim to attack. Tylee and JJ are right out, as far as disputing their character. There doesn't appear to be any attempt to smear Tammy's life, either. All three victims are off limits in this trial. So he's only being nice because he's backed into a corner. If he attacked the victims' character, it would've looked REALLY bad.
Who are John T. and Tom C ? (Cruise?)

From the link below -

"A source close to the trial told CBS News that while Vallow Daybell showed no emotion at the verdict, she was upset with her attorneys for trying in closing arguments to shift blame to her husband."

That's OK. He can do the same - it might get him off or he may plead to lesser crimes to avoid DP and get a lighter sentence. We may hear what really happened and who actually murdered them out of the three of them. He hasn't got anything to lose now.

Alex had him per Mel G and David W and did he walk in with him or out with him but Lori KNEW he had him so basically handed him to Alex.... The part about Chad being scratched and having him kind of throws me but I think that was before Alex had him or was it the other way around...?

I am WAY back here on the thread. I am watching Nate live and hear there is a Dateline special coming up thrown together fast for tonight as well. I do know about the verdicts. AWESOME!
Chad took him up to bed and had a scratched neck when he came down.

She didn’t. Someone may have updated down thread a little bit, and I am repeating it, but Nate said last night that that’s why she was upset and crying, mostly because Archibald said that Chad‘s books were stupid.

Archibald had to pick something out of the hat to keep her from going to prison the rest of her life. That’s his job. Even in the face of his client not being very happy about it.
I heard that too. Do you know how Nate knows, just curious, did it come from Archie? The woman shed nary a tear in all these years for her brother or her children but she sheds tears and gets upset over a slight knock at an adult Chad. Has she been sheltered from all the nasty things all of us out here in the public have said about the two of them?

It will be interesting to see when this is all said and done a few years down the line what they do, if they divorce, try to keep in contact, etc. If they are truly as in love or lust and as committed as they seem to their 144k leadership role, etc., then they will stay married lol as it is part of the plan right?

I honestly wondered if she wasn't upset more at the fact that her choosing the Chad he insulted over Charles made her look like an idiot. More about HER portrayal than Chad and that's why she wouldn't want him portrayed that way...

It was after the defense closing, and just before the rebuttal. There had been a break in between the two and she came back from break crying.
I don't know.... It bit that we couldn't see any of this trial. The woman doesn't cry at times most would so was it believable I wonder...? And why then and come back in upset and no crying as Archie said it? I trust so little of anything about her that I have to wonder if it was done by her for some intent of looking emotional for the jury since she can't conjure real emotion when she needs to... Other than things like anger.

Did she? Or did Alex pick him up himself?
I don't think it matters if she actually physically handed JJ to him, I think what is meant is that she was present and agreeable and knew, etc. that Alex was taking JJ. Personally yes, I think it was planned and she knew where JJ was going and why. It was when, wasn't it, all were together in her kitchen, David W, Mel G, Lori... That IS handing JJ off to Alex.

If I'm at your house visiting and your neighbor walks in and picks up Owen and we both see him and then you smile as they walk out, yes, you just handed your grandson to your neighbor is what I mean... Whether physically handing him to the neighbor or not, it was likely preplanned I would know OR you had an arrangement where the neighbor was welcome to do that with your blessing...

Lori shaking her head no to this probably in her mind meant she did not physically hand JJ to Alex. OR Chad was the one who killed him when he took him upstairs and was scratched... Who did the actual killing I'm not so sure of now...

Is she able to call Chad from court in the breaks?
I would doubt it and hope not. You can make a to a jail inmate call that I'm aware of but then with the tablet thing they have nowadays who knows... Didn't used to be you could do phone calls at any time of day for instance or at your pleasure and you certain could never call INTO a jail to an inmate.

We're going to know in less than an hour! I think it will be guilty. They carefully reviewed each charge and I can't imagine the majority of them voted innocent on everything!
A very nice person was awesome enough to text me alerting me to a verdict while I was working. She also texted me the verdict when read! I wouldn't have known until later otherwise so at least I knew in real time even if I couldn't watch! Don't know a soul I work with who follows crime or I'd have told them or hollered it out to all like they did outside the courthouse and in here and the big crime community who followed this case online. It's always kind of a wake up call to realize the real world or many of them pay no such attention to such things lol.

I cashiered yesterday and I had a man who came through the checkout and he made a joke about how odd it was in his cart he endeded up with this nice Mother's Day card, but then rat poison and something else I can't recall that would kill or something... I figured he meant it like give mom or wife a card to have good evidence you cared but then here was this poision, etc... I knew immediately what he meant... I told him I wouldn't report him this time but if he had had zip ties and duct tape and a shovel I would have had to report it...

Later though on reflecting on it, who knows if it was a joke... I am pretty sure it was but...

I find it interesting that Chad's trial will be the same team...
Assuming they are all still there, no one dies, quits, retires or leaves and even then they can still call them in (like former LE) unless of course they died. In that case they would need to rent Chad's portal...

Defense team is different. Judge could be on or off the bench by that time...

well ... the defense didn't impress me at all..... to bad that the jury didn't get to see Lori crying and mad when he threw Chad under the bus
they weren't all sensational and didn't go after witnesses hard, I agree but in the same breath they asked what they could to put in questions and tried to take the road of they didn't need to as the prosecution wasn't proving its case (which they were imo). i agree not overly impressive but really what did he have to go with so just tried that understated approach showing they weren't overly worried I guess...

prior won't do the same imo. he will go at the witnesses, he already did so in prelim or give a small taste of it with Mel G.

After Archibald gave his closing argument, Lori was upset with him for it! Sounds like she didn't like the way he demeaned Chad in front of the world. The man was trying to defend her! Why didn't she just plead guilty? She's a waste of time and money.
They both are no doubt. And yet she will do the same in Charles case is my guess. Put all through another trial. Neither has a defense to their actions imo. They aren't only a waste of time and money but a sheer waste of the air to breath on earth. Oh, I forgot, they don't need air, being the supreme beings they are... Gag.

Statement from parents of Tammy Daybell:

“What a beautiful day to receive the news of Lori’s convictions. Thank you to everyone that had a part in bringing the truth to light. We are especially grateful to the detectives, the jury, Judge Boyce and the prosecution team. We thank you for your tireless efforts.

We will move forward with renewed energy and faith that justice will be fully served. We anticipate next steps will be swift resolution of the case at hand.

We share this victory with the Vallow-Woodcock family and their precious JJ and Tylee.

Thank you to the many prayers sent from people all around the world, we feel them and they lift us up.”

- Ron and Phyllis Douglas and family

I'm already on my 3rd double G&T. Got dinner over with and just waiting.......

Oh its earlier than I calculated. Justice at last, thank goodness.

Sentencing should be a foregone conclusion. It's got to be life. They won't be sentencing for three months though as they need pre sentence reports apparently.

Chad must be sh**ting bricks. His trial won't be for more than another year (June 2024 )

It seems the jury deliberated for around 7 hours. Verdict came in about 11.40 pm according to Nate below.

12:15 p.m. The courtroom is packed.

12:14 p.m. John Thomas’ daughter and a friend, who have been here for much of the trial, just walked in and are sitting on the reserved defense row. Prosecutors Tawnya Rawlings and Rachel Smith are sitting at their table.

12:10 p.m. Personal note: I was outside the courthouse getting a sandwich and chatting with viewers about 30 minutes ago. I made my way up to the courtroom and someone told me “something is happening.” They described a bailiff walking in and whispering something to a court clerk. The clerk then texted someone. About 5-10 minutes later, the trial court administrator walked in and said, “Ladies and gentlemen, the jury has reached a verdict.”
I knew when our verdict was coming in by just a simple minor things like Nate described. My family didn't believe me. I was right. Lol.

First we were going outside and in was coming lunch for the jurors. I told my daughter it is early for them. During the week of testimony lunch was always later. I said they have a verdict I bet, they are going to eat, and then announce they have one. She didn't think it meant anything. I'm older. I follow crime. I knew it lol. I saw someone go past our room door towards an office in the D.A.'s office a bit later, after they'd likely eaten, just a glimpse through a small window. A minute maybe later, someone from the D.A.'s office came in and said we have a verdict.

Or maybe I'm just psychic with regard to verdicts only lol. Sure wish I had such an ability in other respects in life...
