Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

Written timeline of events
  • April 3, 2018 - Tylee Ryan's father, Joseph Ryan, dies. Death ruled heart attack.
  • December 2018 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow make first appearance on Preparing a People podcast.
  • February 2019 - Charles Vallow files for divorce from Lori, claiming she viewed herself as a god preparing for the second coming, and she would kill him if he got in her way.
  • February - April 2019 - Lori disappears for nearly two months, leaving her children with others.
  • June 2019 - Lori's niece demands a divorce from her husband, who says she shares similar beliefs to her aunt.
  • July 11, 2019 - Charles Vallow shot and killed by Lori's brother Alex Cox. Shooting initially ruled self-defense.
  • August 2019 - Lori moves to Rexburg, Idaho with kids
  • September 3, 2019 - Joshua "JJ" Vallow enrolled in school
  • September 23, 2019 - JJ last attended school
  • September 24, 2019 - Lori unenrolls JJ from school, saying she would be homeschooling him.
  • September 2019 - Tylee also seen in September, but it's unclear when and where (she had graduated early)
  • October 2, 2019 - Lori's niece's ex-husband was shot at, missing his head by inches. Shooter was driving a vehicle registered to Charles Vallow.
  • October 9, 2019 - Tammy Daybell, Chad's wife, called 911 and said a masked man shot at her with a paintball gun.
  • October 19, 2019 - Tammy Daybell dies, death is ruled natural
  • October 25, 2019 - Tylee, or someone using her phone, texts a friend
  • Late October / Early November 2019 - Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow get married
  • November 26, 2019 - Welfare check requested for JJ at the request of extended family - police are told he is in Arizona with family, but he is not
  • November 27, 2019 - Police return to serve a search warrant, finding the Daybell's gone
  • December 12, 2019 - Lori's brother, who had shot her ex-husband, dies mysteriously in Arizona
  • December 20, 2019 - Search for JJ and Tylee goes public
  • December 30, 2019 - LE says Lori knows where her children are but will not cooperate
  • January 25, 2020 - Chad & Lori are located in Hawaii, served with a notice that she must produce the children within 5 days
  • January 30, 2020 - Lori fails to produce JJ and Tylee

I think she cared less about JJ and was willing to lie until she realized they were not going to go away and LE knew better and was actually onto the bunch. Jmo of course.

The fact she would lie to begin with and not answer the phone when a child was missing says plenty to me. Would you? I woudln't. Even if my FRIEND told me she was trying to save the kids from a bad ex or something and had them in hiding. I am NOT going to break the law for her or not trust LE if a child can't be found. It is JUST MY OPINION but she went along at first and it shows her alignment with the duo. I outlined in my recent long post many of my other reasons on Mel G. And again no one has to agree. I have though inhaled as much as anyone evething out there about this case so it isn't a come to lightly opinion.

it's one thing to get a lawyer to protect self and not talk to LE but would you lie to them? For anyone even a friend? I will be colored surprised if you say yes unless of course you knew they were corrupt dirty and it was not true or some such.

Yeah I think she had a stutter too of like having him at Thanksgiving or something and being one place but then no yeah that's right then she had him in AZ trying to cover the duo's story or guess it may be. OR cops knew she wasn't in one state at one point but in another or some such. Can't quite recall. But yes, she lied to LE.

Haven't looked yet but YES that is right. It was like they were celebrating the legalization of pot with the timing and picture and all of it. I forgot that part but that is RIGHT. I knew it was pot or other drug or party related the thoughts. Just couldn't quite put my finger on it as you saw in my posts a short time ago. I even said maybe it was brownies not cookies lol.

So it seems Idaho were not as up to date as other states at this time.

And I think that's entirely possible especially somewhere like Rexburg.

I'm not going to say it wouldn't be so great if they had a video showing Chad and Alex said what they did and reacted the way they did because it would be such great confirmation but I don't think Prior pointing out there isn't such has much detrimental meaning or ruins anything either when there's a lot of evidence to come. And I don't find it unusual at that point in time somewhere like that. Heck come to think of it for all I go on about it, I can't even tell you if my hometown or county has them or uses them always. I have no idea. Never thought on that actually. I espouse my belief that nowadays all should be always but I actually don't know if they do or have them.

I remember a lot of things and more than I sometimes think but then forget others in cases this convoluted of many years, things, interviews, dumped info and more and maybe it is just me and my memory too, I don't know. But this I recalled. It stood out to me for one. And while we had seen many kid pics and various things over the years this one was of a number of their GROUP. Chad and Lori's GROUP. It was unique but I had forgotten the cannabis law passage but I knew somehow it related to pot or partying or some such, and even thought after my irst post on it tongiht maybe it was brownies and not cookies...
 
Thank you Tresir, I have not learned how to search well within a thread. I've tried a few times to no avail. I can generally search to find a case by title and key word though.
 
And Chad is wearing a tie Godl Help Me. Forgot that. Do we have a date? For some reason I thought of Halloween. Maybe that was just me in thinking they are all evil...
 
NOW I started to watch it. And waht' I said back then when I linked it. This is of AUDREY Barriataro (wrong spelling I'm sure) with the shocker during Lori's trial and probably the only one Archibald went fairly hard at because Lori wanted him to and was going to incinerate her with her eyes if she truly had the power Chad told her she had lol. Oh yes. And there is Mel G.... And Zulema...
 
Even though I was off today and watched a lot I did not see all by a long shot and here is Nate's. Linda too is doing a daily summary thus far! Have not watched all of either and no time to post/linkt all but am starting to listen to Nate's right now and right off he is hitting on important things. Way earlir today saw Linda's summary from ytsesterday and that was good as well. Very. I couldn't even believes after her full day of coverage she managed that like Nate always does. Anyhow look to them both for GOOD nightly summaries if like me you can't watch all with different points they make.
