LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Every witness who's testified so far in the Delphi murder trial

Some of the testimony. See the rest at link.

In one of their sessions, Allen said, "I killed Abby and Libby. I will kill everyone. I will wipe out everybody," Wala testified. Allen, Wala said, also talked about starting World War III.

Wala, who saw Allen daily while he was placed on suicide watch, said the confessions began in the spring of 2023. At one point, he told her he "made sure they were dead because he didn't want them to suffer" and that he acted alone, Wala testified. Allen told Wala that his intentions were "sexual in nature" and claimed to be a sex addict and an alcoholic, she told jurors.

During some of his confessions, Wala said Allen gave specific details about the crime, telling her he slashed the teens' throats and put branches over their bodies. During a session on May 3, 2023, Allen recounted to Wala what he did on Feb. 13, 2017. He said he went to his parents' house that morning, went back home to grab a jacket, and then went to the Monon High Bridge trail, where he saw Abby and Libby, followed them and ordered them to go down the hill, Wala told jurors.

Under questioning by Stacey Diener, Wala testified that Allen's emotions were at times erratic. He often went off on tangents and, at times, expressed his desire to apologize to the girls' families, Wala said. One confession, Wala told jurors, was stated in "an almost matter-of-fact manner."

Coinciding with the confessions were a series of bizarre behavior, including drinking from the toilet and eating his feces. When asked why he was eating his feces, Allen said, "Because I'm insane," Wala testified.

Allen also seemed less suicidal at times, saying he "could not kill himself because he was too much of a coward," Wala told jurors.

It was there when he used it. He was there, his gun and bullet were there, his boxcutter was there and was used to slit their throats several times. You and Guesswho are just splitting hairs now and just arguing for the sake of it AFAICS and getting it wrong a lot of the time too while not answering polite questions. I am trying to follow the evidence in a double kidnapping and murder trial of two teens.

Nobody knows it was a box cutter. It was surmised. Nobody saw it. Its existence is pure speculation.

If he ejected the bullet at the top of the hill, how did it get between them. One was dragged quite a way.

I don't know what's going to happen with the problems of this witness, but reading this sounds plausible to me and very damning.
Agree, and I just posted similar from a J & C article. He mentions covering the body with sticks too. He's clearly nutty as a fruitcake and very dangerous. He admits it was sexual and he was a sex addict.

At what point was it made public about the branches and the gun? Before or after the confession to Dr. Wala?
Before. These confessions were in April/May '23, I believe. The branches were in the leaked CS photos. (Aug '23) Thats probably why they leaked them. I think it may have been in the Franks memo too. (Sept '23). It's all falling into place.

So he mentions the branches way before those details were released. Slam dunk.

Wala is the State's 37th witness so only about 13 to go till the D begins.

You're just being childish now. Poster was talking about RA. You responded about framing but you don't believe he was framed, so why mention it then? This is the Delphi thread not a general LE procedurak thread. We are discussing the accused RA currently on trial for kidnapping and murdering two teen girls.
No I responded to the fact that they should not be able to lie to get the info they desire. Your own country does not allow it and for good reason.

In your country, where this trial is taking place, the law is they can say what they want. UK law is irrelevant anyway but not even sure you are right. You don't give a link, as usual.

The video that was recorded over. We've discussed it so much, does a link even need to be posted.

If you're gonna try to get my attention, use @Cousin Dupree instead of emu. I'm skimming this thread.

As I pointed out above.

I don't know how to copy and paste on my tablet. In the article below, read the last paragraph.

Ok I'll check it out.

it is not legal anywhere in the UK. I have linked it before and it is relevant to me. The US is only of a very few that allow it. I have posted links to it on multiple threads and I would think you would know the law in your own country.

Richard Allen gives his account of Delphi murders to prison psychologist; defense hammers witness for interest in case

A clinical psychologist who examined Richard Allen while he was in custody described her interactions with Allen during his time at Westville Correctional Facility, including his account of the day of the murders.

On Day 11, Dr. Monica Wala took the stand. She was employed as the lead psychologist for the Indiana Department of Correction and was technically a contractor. She primarily worked at Westville and provided services to Allen while he was in custody.

Wala took on Allen because of the high-profile nature of his case. She first saw him in November 2022. He was frequently on suicide watch, which meant corrections personnel had to keep him on close observation.

Wala didn’t initially discuss the Delphi murders with Allen and discouraged him from talking about the case with others.

In an April 5, 2023, patient complaint, Allen said, “I killed Abby and Libby. I’m sorry.” He said he made sure they were dead so they didn’t suffer and believed they were deceased by the time he left.

Delphi murders: Witness testimony may lend legitimacy to Richard Allen’s prison confession

New witness testimony may add credence to a confession made by Richard Allen to a prison psychologist.

On Wednesday, psychologist Dr. Monica Wala told jurors how Allen confessed to the crimes in step-by-step detail during his time at Westville Correctional Facility.

Allen told Wala that he was a recovering alcoholic but that he drank three beers on Feb. 13, 2017, before heading to the trails. He confessed to following the girls on to the bridge and “messed with his gun,” which he speculated might’ve led to the round being found at the scene.

Allen told Wala his intention was to rape the girls but said he was spooked by a van and made the girls cross the creek before slashing their throats. He then covered the girls with sticks and walked out onto 300 North where he was parked.

This is what I've been waiting for to come to light. That van. JMO.
