LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

I have never heard of a serrated box cutter. I'm attaching pics of my work issued box cutter for kicks. It clips on to my jeans pocket, so its kind of in a small holster. You have to hold the yellow handle on the bottom down to extend the blade.

It seems it's fairly common that perps drink before following through with what ever it is they've been fantasizing about doing.

Wow you have it made. I need to find ours, they are something that would likely sell for now more than 59c. 29 cents in a right priced world.

I have seen serrated, as a cheap type one can buy. I don't know why anyone would ever buy them, the ones I have seen are pretty flimsy. I'm talking flimsy with the work issued we have too but they are not serrated, they simply don't have an extended blade or one that can extend.

I don't know where you work and won't ask but in retail I am guessing work issued is probably more like we have. I will try to go find.

I don't want to go far down the box cutter talk but will do to a point. I'll be back.

This isn't ours and maybe later I can take a picture of ours but I don't often send pics from phone to computer, but will see if I can figure out.

This is close though, but not exact. See how cheap. Flimsy. See the bit of blade at top? You have to put the flimsy plastic point in even a heavy box to get started and about kill your hands to pull it and that would I guarantee you make a serrated look because they aren't built for the job. Then when you finally get that little bit of blade into it it is as you can see not much of a blade and you kill your hands trying to drag it through a heavy box and it in no way makes a clean cut like the box cutter you just showed @RoundPeg of a lot better (far) quality. These are disposable and junk. Hey thought they are great for cutting a string off a pair of sunglasses. Get a lot of customers who buy a pair and want the tag off and ask if you have something to do it so they can wear them right away. That little plastic hook then is perfect. You hook it and cut the string with the teeny bit of worthless blade. That's really about all they are good for lol. Again ours are slightly different but it gives the general idea.

So can all see how trying to use something like this on a box, a heavy box or a human is going to tear more than clean cut?

Boy I'll not disagree on that one. I'd say it's very true but of course is also no excuse. And I know you wouldn't say it was. They're actually very insecure scum who want that power and control but need to have that extra courage imo.

I also wouldn't doubt he had three or more before ever heading to mom's or on the way. It's pretty well established he had an alcohol problem. By himself, by others, by wife, etc. by an event/incident or supposed one.

It's also interesting though after such there are all these pics of him and wife out at the bar drinking and so on. You don't fix your hub's alc problem with thinking ya all can still live that life.

I don't get into all the psych stuff and diagnoses crap and buzz words but I will this once say she's probably a classic co dependent and enables. Far from an uncommon theme or issue.

But back to the point, yes, liquid courage... He also made some remark that he was out to prove something... Tom couldn't catch it all.

I think the last days of the P case are going to be pretty big. The last two already have been and more to come...

I'm shocked he made it across the bridge.

Okay. May get a pic of mine later but what I put up is very close.

Not going to myself stay on box cutters as it's hardly what I want to catch up on today but that's fine. I think he's toast and that's just a mini subject in this all but willing to touch on it a bit in the interest of discussion of all.

You know, all might think I'm not fair to defenses but I've actually had the thought this morning that maybe they should let them go first and then end... Because quite honestly I can see being enough convinced by the end of a P case that you barely listen to the D... I mean as a juror you aren't to do that and I think most don't but there is a point in any trial you start to turn or form an opinion as it all goes on... Of course for me, I'm not a juror, and theoretically the jury hasn't seen all we have or talked of all over time, so I know I couldn't be one in this case, but I have to tell you all is adding on and coming together in much the same way many guessed was how, and the reasons for it, and viewed this man, including his now own descriptions of himself...

I'm not sure why his wife is sticking this out other than he probably said to her, just watch, I will show you, and you will know by the end I didn't do this, yet at the same time he confessed to her later!! He told her he was on the trails, depending on accounts, she TOLD him to call in, but he never told her he was on the bridge. He told her because he knew he had been seen. He called in because she told him to and he knew he had been seen.

There's just so much here that has always been suspected and is now coming...

Need to get back to hearing all from Tom. I did waylay and touch on the boxcutter thing. Again to me it's a very small mini nothing of anything but in the interest of discussion, and he did say he used one, I did.

Good Lord its' dark outside at 9:18, a cloudy day I guess, haven't even looked, but this weekend too is DST. Groan. Dark on both ends. I hate the time of year coming. Haven't even turned a light on yet and need to, to get some things done. Of course, go figure, always on my days off, water is being turned off today short notice last night to fix some things. @Mel70 can identify I'm sure.

So I guess laundry will have to wait until they get that back on whenever today, one thing I always have to get done on the days off for another work week and to get through one. And no in unit laundry. Hoping to look a a home for sale tomorrow but won't happen if I don't call o do so.

In between going to catch up on Tom, not go too far down the box cutter mini subject, and wait to hear what is on for today... While I try to do a ton of other things.

But hey, hello all, and in a few weeks this is going to be done one way or another... We will survive it but imagine the families. One side or another is going to be devastated. And it is as major as one can get to all of them. And they've lived it all. The girls' families for more years imo than KA who had a lying hub... Waiting to see if they testify or they play their interviews. Daughter's, wife's etc. But either way, I can have sympathy in that one side or another is going to be devastated with a verdict.

Been away from Tom for awhile, going to turn a light on, schedule if I can a house viewing, pay some bills, etc., while I play Tom's.

Wala testified she visited him daily so this period of his 60 confessions were in a relatively short period of time in March/April '23 timeframe and her description of him sitting naked on the floor surrounded in paperwork (the discovery) eating faeces and sitting on the floor really summed it all up for me. The discovery and no lawyer visits sent him over the top IMO. The D have been scrabbling with their O story and their defence, backtracking ever since. I truly do not know why they did not go for an insanity defence, rather than the SODDI defence. They are currently trying to get it in for a third time apparently.
What is the thing about some of these perverts eating feces? Reminds me of Dylan Redman‘s “father”. 🤢

So here is ours. And I'd dare say if retail or my chain or CVS these are probably the work issued free ones in policy and rules. Do you see how to cut ot tear a box or skin (I hate saying that) you'd have to pretty much pull and tear?

However, I'm not even sure he said it was work issued, used for work, he had it for work, or what he said. Someone can remind if they have the exact wording and news reported it right.

And not saying I won't say another word about it, but just wanted all to see what a work issued cheap box cutter is in some retail places. It is attached. In the interest of having a good converastion and for those that have never seen these cheapies...

20241031_093724.jpg

@RoundPeg big difference from your work issued, huge difference right? I think we all need to know the differences in what can be meant here. I don't know your job but these are far more waht's apt to be issued in big retail with a ton of employees. I think it's good to see the differences. I pretty quickly bought a retractable blade normal box cutter when I found one wouldn' be fired if they used one, you are just up a creek if you hurt yourself not using the policy ones..

But again what did RA say about it? That work issued it, that he had it and bought it for work, etc.? Because a wide range of difference there. From this crap I showed above to buying a good retractable blade box cutter to use at work...

With this thing you'd clearly have to tear with, I know, used it plenty. yet it was said was it not he made like precision incisions...

Again, I've tried to help and show here but not going to stay on the topic overall. It does show however the very difference in what one can be thinking of as a retail box cutter. And how this on its own could never make a precision starting cut or any precision cut really.

Well, that’s some good detective work right there. Very interesting.
I think so too. And it goes to show some things were held back and the D wasn't going to share anything that would hurt RA and they were the only talkers, leakers.

I also think this was well laid out with Wala and RA menitioning seeing a van and panicking and so he went to kill, make sure ded, try to cover up and then get out of there, and then they put Weber on the stand. I mean wow, in any trial one has to hope they can show the jury and tie things all together throughout or at least in closing, but this right here yesterday, the jury can put together easily all on their own and how it all fits...

I'm pretty darned impressed. And by days ahead the D was asking detectives and more how many Ford Focuses there must be, etc. with similar things like see through tires or spokes or rims or whatever, I'm not great on those terms, and how often Ford sold such to how many etc... It's all coming together beautifully...

I'm very impressed.

And just waiting for more... But it has been more than enough for me from the start, added to since, and now really, really cementing.

Re box cutters. RA is the one who said he used a box cutter. I guess one can believe some things he says but not others in a selective way and pick and choose... I guess maybe we all do.

I can only say how it is where I'm at and when you start, you are told there are work issued box cutters that are free and at any time you just grab as many as you want. They are meant to be safety box cutters but I've cut myself on one of them in my pocket more times than the ZERO times I've ever cut myself with the ones with a retractable blade. You are pretty much told the rule is to use them, however, then you notice so many other employees with real box cutters. I quickly found out of course the policy is to use the store issued ones only but the unspoken thing is go ahead and use a good one (store issued are junk) and I promptly bought three (came as a set of three) at our same store. Anyone could also use a serrated one if they preferred but I haven't noticed anyone who does. I can also say when on check out (I'm not always but enough), I've rarely seen a customer either buy a serrated one.

I'll talk to this just to a bit because at least the box cutter relates to Rick's words and confessions and to current things. It sure isn't the be all and end all of all that is now out but it is in a confesson of his.

Does anyone know, I can't recall, did he say it was work issued or was a CVS box cutter, or a box cutter he used for work? In any retail environment basically all employees are going to have box cutters, even managers end up doing freight sometimes, all do. They are a necessity.

It's interesting he claims this when it was not a work day for him and he had a number of knives and guns etc. So IF TRUE, did he want a box cutter for a specific reason...? If they have work issued ones I'm sure they'd be like ours and most places for safety probably do these days. Those versus a retractable real bladed one would be quite different to use and control. Reasons for rather than a knife would be to me, far easier to conceal especially if the little flat work issued ones, a fantasy of using a work issued one because they are quite different than the norm to get into something to begin cutting, I may see if I can find a picture if some don't know, and by the way, you end up more tearing with them a lot of the time than cutting. He may also have planned to of course ditch the weapon and he didn't want to ditch one of his knives. Who knows. And again, if true.

Re bullet

I'll also talk to this once. The reason for that has been heard but not yet at trial to my knowledge. RA knew he lost a bullet. He pretty much alludes to this himself. And this is a man bent on leaving no evidence. He'd have looked for it/them/anything he dropped. I believe I recall all from back when but am not fresh on it so I'll wait.

General

He talks as if he got home and just decided with the nice day to go out. He changed his story in his interviews to more like he threw on a jacket, went out there, walked for a minute, sat for a minute and went on the bridge for a couple of minutes on this nice day and left. BULLSH*T. Changed the time. Nope. The van helps conclude that now, as does the Harvestore video which always has. One black Focus in the county. More.

He did not bundle up overdressed for a few minutes out there.

There is NOW getting to be so much past what was always already enough but it is all coming togeher.

And sure enough, as we said, there are things we've never heard that of course the D wasn't going to say and the P held their hand...

They are saving the best and leading to what I'd call a crescendo. And we are into that part now...

Jmo.
Pretty sure i read he had 3 beers then 3 more instead of lunch. So he then drove home for a jacket and hat and the rest is history.

He's going down. Is indiana a DP state? I have heard some say it is, unless i am mistaken.

Re your box cutter question, they seized box cutters from his house IIRC.

OMG. I dont' know if it's been put together but just saw a comment in Tom's chat that didn't put it together but reminded me of something. The SHACK.

RA himself brings up a small shack in an LE interview I believe... Do you recall was it Carter way back when talking of The Shack...

WAsn't this with them, he and KA driving around or him and finding the new lay of the land, the farm entrance, seeing a shack, more...

This isn't anything anyone has said or touched on, not Tom, not reporting that I've seen and I'm going to need to think on it later because listening to Tom right now but striking me like another zinger... If they put it together and I think they likely have...? Anyone else notice this?

I'm in catch up mode. Know most of the news and witnesses of the week but now putting things together myself between LE interviews, things we knew and then confessions... It was just a big click.
Yes i remember talk of the shack years ago.

IN is a DP state. He was threatened with it in the Holeman interview and said he didn't care... Always has wanted to die, etc. anyhow, man who doesn't get that type of manipulator poor me, poor me.

I think though he wasn't charged with the DP because although there is and was ample evidence (and so much more now) they do lack DNA, etc., this came years ago later and so on. AND the DP takes a totally different set of rules...

He SHOULD be put to the DP imo but it's pretty rare in states these days that even carry it out on occasion, for it to be went for. And then here are those like Cali where your an go for it but they never ever execute anyone anyhow...

The US is awful, we still have the DP in some places and some who believe in it and our LE can lie to someone they are questioning. :(

LOL. Just saying...

Not sure I knew that. About seizing box cutters, actually maybe I did, but mostly what I am trying to recall is what he said about using a CVS box cutter. Did he say it was work ISSUED or used for work, etc. because there's a big difference. Although I think it's a mini thing in this whole case of far bigger things... Shall see I guess.

I'm just not overly focused on that, even though they it may actually be another major fit in this all.

What is the thing about some of these perverts eating feces? Reminds me of Dylan Redman‘s “father”. 🤢
Imo it's like fasting or refusing to eat. And been used many a time in the past to act crazy, etc.

Others can disagree, but it is certainly not unheard of when trying for insanity, etc.

I am not saying there are never some truly insane persons. But most don't meet the standard, few do.

And we are sitting here or I am listening to yesterday where the D is using all the mental sh*t yet they don't want mental health records in, trying to have their cake and eat it too.. Anyyone who doesn't think Gull hasn't given them a TON of leeway throughout isn't up on everythiing...
