LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Maybe they are trying to punish themselves as they know they are just a POS themselves?
I've heard a lot and not given play by play but here's one, long in much else that could be hared. D asks Wala or says RA gave over his mental health records to you or signed to do so. She says NO, only his MEDICAL records. So here we go again with the continued attempted games and sn*w. NOt shouldn't his new shrink have them....?

Over and over and over again they try to use his mental state but then they won't go there or provide...

Yeah, they've gotten a TON of slack...More than I think "news" or laked to "news" has ever reported.

I can't wait for more today. He's toast, as he should be short of one nutty, easily fooled juror or something.. It's all there with more to come...

IN is a DP state. He was threatened with it in the Holeman interview and said he didn't care... Always has wanted to die, etc. anyhow, man who doesn't get that type of manipulator poor me, poor me.

I think though he wasn't charged with the DP because although there is and was ample evidence (and so much more now) they do lack DNA, etc., this came years ago later and so on. AND the DP takes a totally different set of rules...

He SHOULD be put to the DP imo but it's pretty rare in states these days that even carry it out on occasion, for it to be went for. And then here are those like Cali where your an go for it but they never ever execute anyone anyhow...

The US is awful, we still have the DP in some places and some who believe in it and our LE can lie to someone they are questioning. :(

LOL. Just saying...

Not sure I knew that. About seizing box cutters, actually maybe I did, but mostly what I am trying to recall is what he said about using a CVS box cutter. Did he say it was work ISSUED or used for work, etc. because there's a big difference. Although I think it's a mini thing in this whole case of far bigger things... Shall see I guess.

I'm just not overly focused on that, even though they it may actually be another major fit in this all.
I can't remember if he said it was a CVS boxcutter, but he did say he disposed of it in the CVS dumpster IIRC.

Oct. 31, Day 12 testimony

Brian Harshman

Officials who testified Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, the twelfth day of Richard Allen's trial include:

  • Brian Harshman: Indiana State Police master trooper. Harshman, whose job required him to monitor calls Allen made in prison, said he listened to more than 700 prison calls Allen made to family. Harshman told jurors he recognized the voice in the infamous "Bridge Guy" video as Allen's. In one of those calls, jurors heard Allen tell his wife, "I did it. I killed Abby and Libby."

Oct. 30, Day 11 testimony

Dr. Monica Wala, Steve Mullin, Brad Weber

Officials who testified Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, the eleventh day of Richard Allen's trial include:

  • Dr. Monica Wala: Allen's former psychologist while at Westville Correctional Facility. Wala testified that Allen, multiple times over the course of their sessions, confessed to murdering Abby and Libby. Allen, Wala told jurors, "made sure they were dead because he didn't want them to suffer" and that he acted alone. She later testified she believed Allen was feigning his bizarre behavior while in prison.
  • Steve Mullin: Investigator for the Carroll County Prosecutor's Office. Mullin testified only one car registered in the county appears to match the vehicle seen on surveillance footage near the Monon High Bridge trail. It was Allen's black Ford Focus SE.
Witnesses who testified included:

  • Brad Weber: Resident of Carroll County. Weber lives near the trail and testified he clocked out of work at 2:01 p.m. Feb. 13, 2017 and drove about 20-25 minutes to his house. The girls, according to the prosecution's timeline, made it to the high bridge around 2 p.m. and disappeared shortly after. Weber, when asked, shouted in the courtroom that he had not stopped anywhere before going home.

Oct. 29, Day 10 testimony

Jason Bedwell, Brandon Fisher, John Galipeau, Michael Roberts, Raymond Smith

Officials who testified Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, the tenth day of Richard Allen's trial include:

  • Jason Bedwell: Officer at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. He told the jury that Allen said earlier this year he was sorry for killing Libby German and Abby Williams. Allen's defense pointed out that Bedwell's statement about the confession weeks after it happened was more detailed than his original log.
  • Brandon Fisher: Former Westville Correctional Facility officer. He said in court that on April 29, 2023, Allen said he intended to rape the two teens but got scared and killed them instead. The defense argued prison conditions were detrimental.
  • John Galipeau: Former Westville Correctional Facility warden. Galipeau testified that Allen began confession to the murders in March 2023. The defense argued jail conditions led to a mental health crisis.
  • Michael Roberts: Westville Correctional Facility officer. Roberts testified that he confessed to molesting Abby and Libby as well as two people named Chris and Kevin. He also said Allen often acted up when he was being watched. On cross-examination, he acknowledged that he does not have training in mental health and that other inmates urged Allen to kill himself.
  • Raymond Smith: Westville Correctional Facility officer. In Smith's testimony, he told the jury Allen said "I killed those two girls, so I have to kill myself" in April 2023.

Yeah, I recall that too and I think most do and I doubt like me, any recall exactly what he said about what it was as far as if work issued, purchased, for work, etc.

Personally, to me it isn't a huge detail but seems to be possibly to some. Just was providing the vast differences in such.

I'm honestly not sure what the thing was about it to begin with but seemed quite important to some.

And was just trying to show if anyone can see that like our work issued ones would make a jagged or serrated tear, cut. Once you finally get them into something because there is no blade to even start them out with.

So I'm done with it but showed an actual retail WORK ISSUED one. I never did show a serrated.

Can't, as I said recall either if I even knew, what the big deal is there.

Now one like I bought for work the normal type with retractable blade, they'd sadly make some precision cuts up close. This work issued one woud not. Trying to use it for such would do a lot of damage.

The conversation seems to have dropped anyhow. I was simply willing to contribute to it if so important to some.

Quite the difference between Roundpeg's work issued and mine isn't it?

However, we don't even know if he was talking work issued... So lol honestly, I don't recall the point, if there ever was one. Just awoke from a nap. Man there goes the day... Haent' got sh*t done but did need the sleep..

Listened to a lot of Tom, took care of a couple of minor things and then dozed off not planning to and lost a few hours...

Who am I to talk though. All are probably wiped, you likely are, Tom of course is trying to cover all of this without a team...

So haven't looked. Any news from today yet? You don't need to answer, just rhetorical. I will take a look shortly.

WOWZA. To ALL of it. However, there comes the voice by Harshman. I have said over and over and the comparison I heard is a NO QUESTION match. It ZINGS. IT IS his voice. I am awaiting all that.

So far as all the others and Weber, are people going to say every single one is part of some conspiracy? Give me a BREAK.

Yours looks like it came out of a Christmas cracker LOL.

Am I dumb (rhetorical question) or am I missing the serrated part?
Are you now trying to argue with 'Roundpeg? She was showing her work issued box cutter, as I showed mine with no serrated part either.

Maybe remind us all of your point?

And by the way what would you like to be called if not emu any longer?

I aim to please. But when I don't tag it's because I'm not trying to get your attention at all but just "conversating" Like I just said Roundpeg and did not tag her.

I'm serious. Brand New testimony is going on, can you tell me your hang up with the box cutter as I honestly don't know?

I hope you are doing well, honestly. But can't quite understand all the new stuff coming out that you are not seemingly paying attn. to. in a live and active trial, but seem to just want to go sideways.

You're the same age so you'll recall--- so where's the beef Mister? Is Mister okay?? Lol. Or what's the beef?

About the box cutter? I have no desire to go there but did try and show you the differences... And NOW I am going to finish the darned cat pan (always a priority) get some laundry in which I haven't and a few other things and try to find stuff about today's testimony.

Yours looks like it came out of a Christmas cracker LOL.
Okay you lost me with your lingo there lol. I'm thinking like out of a Cracker Jack box would be the close similarity to what you mean. LMAO.

Do you KNOW how many times I have cut the tips for my fingers on these things (safety right, uh huh) or destroyed my hands? You pretty much have to DRAG them if anything stouter than a paper box lol. You can go through one every hour or two if doing freight. BUT there is policy and it protects the company. Really hard to say you cut your finger off with one of these, you simply did a lot of damage to everything else. Trigger finger, tendonitis, jagged box tears IF it will even open them...

And now onward, don't know why or how sidetracked into this box cutter thing. WHAT went on TODAY? Going to take a look while trying to get sh*t done around here. I've napped and am getting to wide awake!

Yours looks like it came out of a Christmas cracker LOL.
I would like to know the Christmas cracker thing though? Lightness is needed in this thread... And what's a cracker in our terms? My closest thought was a prize in a Cracker Jack box.

Fries are chips. Chips are crisps. I think cookies are biscuits. Not sure about crackers much less CHRISTMAS crackers.

I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering.

But YES they are pieces of plastic junk with a bit of a blade in between. Worthless. Absolutelly. But great on string... :D :D :D

Am I dumb (rhetorical question) or am I missing the serrated part?
Rhetorically, no. I think we all know that medical examiner isn't all that versed in tool marks.

Let's talk about something new. :)

So, RA said a van interrupted him. Then Brad Holder testified he drove by. On his way to a house he had every right to be at. That's got some meat to it.

Whaddya think?

Don't tempt me.....
RoundPeg said the blade only comes out when the yellow bit is squeezed, so we cannot see the blade. It therefore could be straight or serrated.

BTW do you want us to still call you Emu, or would you maybe like to be known as FKA Emu? (formally known as Emu).
Oh man, thought nothing on here, scrolled back, thought I was caught up with nothing much here and saw this. I am chuckling out loud.

I don't know about the first sentence or if Round peg said that as I thought I caught up, but I do know she was showing a WORK issued box cutter as was I, and I was showing the vast difference in the nice one she has issued and our probably China cheap junk that came from a Christmas cracker lol. PLEASE fill me in on that...

And then I had to chuckle further because I also asked him what he wants to be called now!!

And I missed this post totally. I went back because of that stupid thing where you do miss if you hit that link for ones you miss.

The thread could use some lightness on occasion but if not allowed, hey, more than ready myself to not even try here sometimes.

Love all here but there's a limit.

Emu or whatever your name is now, do you GET that Roundpeg was simply showing her WORK ISSUED box cutter? AS did I?

And here I am, where I'd rather be hearing of the testimony today.

But have tried to humor.

Giving up.

Onwards. Awoke from a nap. DID THEY play Mom and wife's recordings with RA and his confessions? WHY am I on box cutters? Smh.

Sounds like it makes sense to me.

Yeah, that's pretty damning, and if true a very bad thing for him. There has been so much being fudged here, and the secrecy is over the top as far as access to the court proceedings and evidence. The part about him ejecting the bullet at the top of the hill doesn't line up with the evidence. So I'm still very skeptical about all of this. His DNA was never found, they haven't talked about the fingerprint, and there are so many confessions with so much BS it's hard to believe. In one purported confession he said he shot the girls, and we all know that didn't happen.
