LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Not to brag, but it has replacement blades in the handle, too. It's an Easy Cut 2000. They last a long time. I'm on my 3rd one I think in 14 years.

Anyway, back to the case . . .
Okay I had to do a reaction to this post. I have quit them but sometimes... Yes you are bragging, I showed you OUR JUNK. China probably 5 cents to produce... I did want the ones going on about box cutters to get that IF work provided how they can differ.

I don't know your job and know you work and won't ask, but would not have even guessed you used or needed a box cutter. I was office management most of my adult life and thought I wanted something different lol. Well I found it, and I love a lot about it but not being on my feet all day at this age and I also never worked for semi to big chains or corps. And THESE are the box cutters they provide.

You ARE bragging. Lol. When I saw that, I thought WTH?? I think I should go into work and show what others provide.. Lol. Jk.

CLEARLY there is big difference in box cutters and was his work provided...

Hey, I have three nice ones I purchased! But they aren't as nice as your work provided one...

Stick with that position, nice PERKS! Seriously.

I am two years in and really seeing the b.s. and at this older age. However, I still love most coworkers, the place overall and I'd say USUALLY we have the best customers. I could have went back to office now doubt it would be so easy but was actually tired of the stress of that too.

If you can get another free one, could you send me one?? I will pay for the shipping!!

I think this thread and others at times need a bit of lightness.

And your work issued box cutter and mine are NIGHT AND DAY!! :D

I just estimated, by my reckoning, we only have about 4 more P witnesse to go, so i wonder if they will let the jurors have the whole weekend off before the D begin on Monday ? By all means, someone else should check my calculations.
I just read the prosecution rested their case at 4 pm today. Will look for decent links.

No one bothered following up on it until after cross examination. They really should have at least checked Tippecanoe County, too. At a minimum. IMO
Working backwards here.

When it is put together though with all else, it is pretty significant. And then the seeh through wheels or spokes or whatever.

And I am not doubting but haven't caught up with all, so you are saying not til cross exam in trial did they look for such?

I am seriously asking, I don't know. I have three days now of Tom's I am watching. I go to the new, especially with all of this more significant part of trial and then when time, go back and finish the rest. I read here, even though not real enamored with news, it catches me up on basics when I don't have time.

I will at some point watch all of the fullest coverage on this case even if it has to be after the fact.

I don't with all but do a fair amount on ones that I really want to now of. With Chad's, I wanted to hear his kids and made a point of going back to hear them testify, I wanted to hear Colby, and a few, even though I was working when such were live.

At least there was that option. In this one as of now, since NO recording, I will go back and finish all of Tom's.

Sorry, so back to the original point, are you saying this was just NOW done...?

Oof! I forgot about that kind. I hate those! I have one and it sits in the toolbox because they are awful!
Tons of different box cutters. I think that was shown today with our junk ones issued versus Roundpeg's work issued...

The only good thing I can say about our work issued ones is it does not weigh your pocket down lol, it's very LIGHT to carry which i think the pic shows...

‘I did it. Do you still love me?’ Jurors hear Allen’s phone call ‘confessions’ in Delphi murders trial

Jurors heard several phone calls Richard Allen made to family members during Day 12 of testimony in the Delphi murders trial.
Two others briefly took the stand on Wednesday. Steve Mullin, a Carroll County Prosecutor’s Office investigator who previously served as Delphi’s police chief, discussed Allen’s Ford Focus SE and the limited number of similar vehicles registered in the Carroll County area.

Brad Weber, the owner of property across the crime scene, said he drove on an access road in his van around 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2017. That would’ve been around the time of the murders. In Allen’s confession recounted by Wala, he said a van spooked him, leading him to panic and kill the girls.

Before the jury entered the courtroom, the prosecution and defense sparred over some exhibits, with the state hoping to admit a few photos taken from Allen’s phone to show what he looked like before his arrest. Special Judge Fran Gull said she would take up the issue after lunch.

Delphi murders: Defense team calls first witnesses after prosecution rests

The first of the defense team’s witnesses took the stand late Thursday afternoon after the prosecution came to a rest in the highly publicized Delphi murders case.

For 12 days, the prosecution has called dozens of witnesses to the stand to present their case and lay out their belief that Richard Allen is the infamous “Bridge Guy” captured in cell phone footage from Libby German’s phone.

Prosecutors believe the girls encountered a man while out walking the bridge and were led down a hill to be raped before their killer panicked, decided to slash their throats and covered their bodies with sticks before fleeing the area.

An unspent round found between the girls’ bodies has been one of the main pieces of evidence against Allen. A firearm expert said the cartridge came from Allen’s gun.

Jurors also heard about dozens of confessions made by Allen, including one where he allegedly detailed how he led the girls down the hill intending to rape them before being spooked by a van and deciding to kill them. A neighbor told jurors how he was returning home around that same time near the crime scene – driving a white van.

I thought all box cutters had extra blades in the handle. ???
LOL did you see the junk we are issued? And my mom is the queen of having every box cutter ever made. Every tool you name it.

Tons of variety although I don't know if I recall or remember the original point of this subject anyhow.

And I'm very jealous of @RoundPeg 's work issued one. 😭 Ours are crap. But I bought a nicer three...

State rests its case in Delphi murder trial, but is it enough to convict Richard Allen?

Prosecutors in the double-murder trial of Richard Allen rested their case Thursday after presenting the final pieces of evidence they hope will convict the Delphi man of murder in the 2017 abduction and deaths of teens Abigail "Abby" Williams and Liberty "Libby" German.

With all of the prosecution's cards now on the table, one key question emerges as the defense begins its effort to discredit or raise doubts about the state's case: Was the evidence strong enough to convince the 12 jurors, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Allen was the killer?

Legal experts and trial observers have mixed opinions and, ultimately, they don't matter. The question won't be answered until after Allen's attorneys make their case and the jury votes on his innocence or guilt. But from this point on during the small-town trial garnering international attention, most of the evidence jurors hear and see will come from witnesses called by Allen's attorneys — testimony challenging the state's theory and likely far more favorable to Allen.

Ty for that. My typing has a mind of its own.
My phone and computer are doing that. Never had that problem before. Tried t text daughter earlier and totally legitimate real words were turning into thing sthat were NOT a word at all...

I think we all need a break from this case. How many more P witnesses?
I am just going to say the same and agree. I don't know if a break is needed so much as realizing I think that we all care and sometimes differ case to case. And aren't sheep. And when you are the one most aren't agreeing with it's hard but in the next case you are and someone else feels differently. And imo that's as it should be.

Some lightness though never hurts on occasion, rather than picking... Jmho.

I don't mind being called emu. I just said that if you try to get my attention to a post, please use @Cousin Dupree so I'll see it.
And if my intent is to get your attention, I will do that and do do that. Don't take me wrong, but I'm never looking for your attention and if I am addressing someone directly and want to talk, I do tag.

If I am talking generally or something about many of us, no I don't necessarily in a post general or to someone else. However, if you want me to, any time I mention you, I sure the heck can and happy to oblige.

I just read the prosecution rested their case at 4 pm today. Will look for decent links.
Okay so I have a bit of catching up today. Guessing the mom and wife's recordings with him were played then. I hit Tom's just as it ended and couldn't refresh because it was not up yet for viwing after. And no offense to anyone, but a lot of box cutter sidetrack today. Water shut off today, no warning until late last night, other things.

BUT I just saw a few ahead from @Imamazed and seems fact the P rested... Have't read the links, just see the headlines.

Tom's should be up for replay by now so going to check it out.

I dont' know if it will be taken as a good or bad thing but I will probably be back....

Okay. Not to Tom yet. A lot of significance here. And a lot to unpack. BOTH ways.

But no one needs to say for one thing that Gull never sides with the defense because she does, has and it is clear here.

I am going to wait, wisely because right now I have quite a bit to say but am going to leave, it go watch some Tom who gives sanity. Not saying this coverage is bad, just had a fill today.

I will say one thing and it may sound nitpicky but who the HE77 says yes, dear or no dear..? What is this June Cleaver to Ward sh*t? I can't help it. My parents were married almost 50 years just shy before my dad died and they were very loving and very affectionate, appropriately so in front of us kids, or others, and never once did I hear them say yes dear or no dear. Nor have I ever in my lifetime and both I and my parents are older than these two. Strikes me so fake is I guess what I mean. I ALMOST feel sorry for RA, what kind of flakey world was he living in? The man couldn't confess if he wanted to and tried a million times.

I haven't had time but I think it was yesterday it came RA said he was happier than he'd ever been in his entire life even though he was incarcerated. EVER been. Did anyone catch that yesterday or did news cover it?

Who ARE these people? Right now I don't even mean HIM, I mean his wife and mom... It's bizarre.

Clearly of course they knew it was being recorded but you pick no dear, yes dear, the fakiest sh*t ever...

I can only WISH we could hear all of these.

Anyhow quite the read, I did read it. Going off to Tom before I nod off to get some sanity... His video from tonight should be back up by now...

Or say too much more...

OKAY. For the FIRST TIM:E, Tom said after today, he believes RA to be BG. He has NEVER said that with certainty before and now he has. He always gave the benefit of the doubt and looked at both sides until NOW.
