LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Or, they weren't there and neither were the bodies.
Of course they were but you are welcome to believe whatever you want.

The only one sitting in that courtroom or anywhere who knows every detail of what happened is RA and some we are never going to know but that isn't a thing I wonder about at all.

The van thing is absolutely huge. There's just way too much to be battled and discounted. The D is welcome to try I guess.

My thing has always been when you have to explain away way too many things.....

One is one thing. Two well hmm. Three? Okay, tipping over there. More, I'm done. And when they are VARIOUS things, too much coincidence, all having to be explained away, nope.

I think @Regina said last week, it's actually pretty simple and clear. I liked that because it really is when one clears the smoke and blizzard etc.

Jmo, and don't expect you to agree but that's okay of course.

Oh i didn't know that. I thought that it would be automatic in a double murder of children. Do we know why the P did not go for it?
No. It's often not pursued or chosen to be pursued by a P because of a few reasons. First it changes entirely the burden and rules etc. The defendant has to have a DP qualified lawyer, well unless private paid as we saw with Prior in Daybell. The jury has to be death qualified. It's a lot more work I'd say plus as you probably know many of our states that still have the DP never get it carried out anyhow these days...

My thought of why they did not pursue it is while there's plenty here, more than enough to convict, there were issues like it took five years, a lost tip, etc. The murders of two juvenile girls is for sure heinous enough to qualify but also the jury also has an even bigger weight, has to be able to go for the DP, etc.. Jury selection if I recall takes longer because they have to be willing to put to death just a lot more rules, etc. Then there has to be the death phase by the jury after verdict.

Probably not getting it perfectly correct but it is true it is up to the prosecution if they want such pursued or not. and good ones also consult the victim's families...

We don't have "automatic" death penalty cases.
True, I can see why someone would think so though as the qualifying factors are always talked of and criteria that has to be met, aggravating favors, and so on.

I'd say it's also not very often it's sought these days, fairly rare in fact they decide to go for the DP.

Daybell and Kohberger are the only recent ones most of us have followed that I can think of where they went for it. I THINK Kohberger is decided on that no? Pretty sure. I know his atty. is death qualified.

It was dark. The clothes were also likely further downstream at the time too. They didn't see the bodies either. That night they were thinking mainly that they could have fallen off the bridge so were looking underneath it.
They'd have had almost no daylight either if at all not for very long. It also was thought they might not even be out there, and maybe were elsewhere being teens and would come home.

I don't find this odd at all and even the next day it took a bit and I believe they were searching downstream with the thought yes, they had fallen into the creek from the bridge possibly. Once was it the tie dye shirt of L's was found, then they centered on that area on both sides and the shoe was found, etc. It also was how the bodies were found wasn't it? He was heading to go down to where they were and came upon them?

All of these people are not liars. I mean the man who found them (drawing a blank on name right now) was still devastated and crying.

I"m not picking at anyone at all but simply saying there is no way this is that big of a conspiracy involving all of these people. It would involve good neighborhood people, many, Wala, every prison guard, the warden, LE from various agencies, more to explain it all. He confessed to sooo many... VArious times, in various ways. In person, with Wala, by phone.

Just pointing such out.

Going to try to get some posts on X so everyone can read them. Its a task, gimme minute.

Ok, that's it.

I was just this morning hearing some more from Tom and plenty of description there's been of him being getting naked, fondling himself and some other this to have a fair idea of what the jury is now seeing today...

Then later/now, listening to a lot of Rozzi's questions some of which I find pretty telling and I'm sorry, but dumb, in trying to attack the voice.e Would his voice be different in different years, would Haldol affect the voice, and some others...

I'm sorry, but they are not going to negate that voice imo. Said it many a time, it was a clincher for me back when and now they have tons more examples and it's his voice.

They can try to attack and discredit tons of different things (too many to be believed imo) but that voice is not one of them, nor are several other things. HE IS the man who said "down the hill". Not a doubt in my mind and hasn't been for a very long time.

To each their own of course.

I suppose him rolling around naked and things like that could help show as they are trying to his mental state. I don't see it as making much difference though.

I also heard questions and answers today of the last two days (I thiink) and among many things, just one, is how RA needed constant attn and sought constant attn. He also said he did all sorts of things for attn. No point really, just mentioning.

Anyhow, just listening to the end of a couple before a new day full comes in. Had a break from it for a bit and now listening to a bit more of every question and answer. Such takes awhile is the only drawback.

Anyhow, I wonder how long the D will go. Really feeling for these jurors, and the families. Now look at what they are watching.

How is Tom getting info that no one else can? I've been wondering about this for awhile now.

He is attending. And he is giving question by question and answer by answer of all day. He has pages of notes and there are times he says he couldn't hear the question or answer so even he doesn't have all. I'm not sure what you mean. About what?

I know one day a week or so ago, he got notes from a woman who is a subscriber of his when he couldn't get back in I think after lunch or in the morning, I forget which.

He doesn't know anything no one else heard, he's simply giving a lot more. He also tries to get every objection and how ruled on but I think he does miss some of those too.

A lot of the answers are "correct" or "yes or no". So I'd assume, at least if it was me, it is how I'd do it he'd write down C or Y or N. He hasn't said that, but it's what I'd do as well as use any abbreviations I could. I do that in notes to myself all of the time. And for the record, lol, he can't decipher some of his own notes sometimes.

Thanks for posting the details Rpeg.

So the D attorney hadn't seen these videos judging by her shock.

What was the purpose of showing these to the jury? The P objected and did not want them shown. How could it help the D to show these?

I'd add that he is a bit, I don't know the nice term, but detail oriented and is the term anal retentive? That sounds not nice but all know I think a lot of him and so I certainly do not mean it in any insulting way.

If you are talking about the naked thing, I'd have to go back but this was from testimony, two days ago maybe? I've watched some of two this morning... I think the 31st it might be from.

If you watch him, you will see and hear him say ever page he goes onto of his notes, how many he has for each day, and how many he now has total and his reading of such, and again, often he can't decipher or puts down he couldn't hear the question/or answer.

You must have seen something I missed re D atty. shock. Maybe I missed a post.

My guess is they want it to show or suggest a messed up mental state....?

Have you got some examples? Perhaps he has a mini tape recorder strapped to his body, or under his collar. I think he is collaborating with some of the public too. His stuff doesn't come out till later too rather than publishing at lunchtime. I think he is staying in the court, if they allow that, and writing up his morning notes maybe.

Okay. Saw the first couple before, more must have been added since I looked.

So RA's mom is back. I'm seriously glad she must be over her concussion, etc. and is okay.

I actually think Tom about the nakedness and he kind of fought to find a word for the private organ I might have heard last night. Again, took in a lot over the last few days catching up. Regardless, it was said in testimony and he was repeated what was said, darned if I recall by who. Or maybe by the D since they are always testifying in their questions but I believe a witness.
There is nothing he has they aren't all hearing and could report on if they chose to or followed it all.

He has all of his notes right in front of him. And unless I have him all wrong, Tom is way too straight laced to EVER pull something like that and has absolutely NO DESIRE to get in trouble. I have to chuckle at this thought. This was not IN one from today, it was from the other day. Yesterday or the 31st I believe. And now they are talking of showing some stuff today (not him, he won't be on until tonight) and it's pretty clear it is this stuff.

I am telling ALL that NEWS is NOT reporting all they can.

Lol tape recorder strapped. Had to chuckle.

He can't even read his own notes at times and missing more than a few questions and answers as well.

Another thing is if he was not sitting there taking notes constantly but could report every night, I'm pretty sure Gull would pick up on it LOL. I'm sorry, I just have to chuckle.

Needed it though. :D

Let me add one more thing LOL, there's no way he could get home and go through a day's recording and go live as soon as he does. LMAO.

I do have to say, a bit of lightness here though is appreciated and needed lol.

I hope the jury and families get some at some point soon. MAN this is something else.
