LIBBY GERMAN & ABBY WILLIAMS: Indiana vs. Richard Allen for 2017 murder of two Delphi girls *GUILTY*

On February 14, 2017, the bodies of Abigail Williams and Liberty German were discovered near the Monon High Bridge Trail, which is part of the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, Indiana, United States, after the young girls had disappeared from the same trail the previous day. The murders have received significant media coverage because a photo and audio recording of an individual believed to be the girls' murderer was found on German's smartphone. Despite the audio and video recordings of the suspect that have been circulated and the more than 26,000 tips that police have received, no arrest in the case has been made.[1][2][3]

Police have not publicly stated nor released details of how the girls were murdered.[6] As early as February 15, 2017, Indiana State Police began circulating a still image of an individual reportedly seen on the Monon High Bridge Trail near where the two friends were slain; the grainy photograph appearing to capture a Caucasian male, with hands in pockets, walking on the rail bridge, head down, toward the girls.[4] A few days later, the person in the photograph was named the prime suspect in the double-homicide.[5]

On February 22, law enforcement released an audio recording where the voice of the assailant,[7] though in some degree muffled, is heard to say, "Down the hill." It was at this news conference that officials credited the source of the audio and imagery to German's smartphone, and, further, regarded her as a hero for having had the uncanny foresight and fortitude to record the exchange in secret. Police indicated that additional evidence from the phone had been secured, but that they did not release it so as not to "compromise any future trial." By this time, the reward offered in the case was set at $41,000.[5]

Why so? They are doing as juries should do, not rushing, double checking and crossing the Ts and dotting the Is. It's very typical and average for time, etc. and they started towards the weekend and it is not even Monday yet. Some of course are slam dunk quicker because the evidence is just so overwhelming, etc. It's also years after. We are going to have a verdict Monday imo. What's your prediction? I'm not of course saying I know, just my guess.

The voice is dead on. You and I even have discussed many a voice over the last few years.

All that said, I am not going to say that I don't think the P for instance should not have done a voice analysis and side by side comparison.

I guess if you mean they did't come back in three to four hours as happens in cases that truly are slam dunk, aren't how many years passed, etc. then no, they are doing more the average thing of a couple of days, making sure they look at, double check, before delivering their verdict. Jmo.

Personally I think they were there Saturday which is not much time at all, and will again, deliver a verdict Monday.

Could be wrong.

Of course, but they don't seem to believe the evidence is stacked against him. I'm glad they are doing this. It'll be interesting what they decide.

My vote is hung jury. I think that’s what’s going to happen here.
I hope you're wrong but if not, it will be a mistrial, so does he get re-arrested straight away? I hope so.

Now if they come back with a Not Guilty, do they look for another suspect or just tighten up their evidence? eg Get a voice analysis.

Not if they end up with a different suspect like the question proposed. RA can not be tried on the same charges if found not guilty.
The question was basically either/or. I responded regarding double jeopardy.

If they come up with a different suspect, it's a completely different case then.

Allen, though inadvertantly, actually did identify himself as BG.
Re the image from Libby's phone, he said something along the line of if it was with the girl's camera, it wasn't me.
LMAO!
Just got home so maybe I'm tired but I'm not following how that means he identified himself as BG. Everyone knew about Libby's video and I took him to mean he was not .the guy Libby had the video/pic of.

I don't know where you get that at all. The jurors have shown us nothing to even guess what they believe.

And yes, I'm glad they are comparing the voice too because it's HIS voice.

He's not going to be found not guilty across the board. Most I've listened to who attended say there's plenty for guilt and they came to that conclusion themselves.

Generally they stay in jail if a hung jury until the next trial, nothing changes that way. The D may try to argue he should be out pending trial but it amost never succeeds. He is or will be under the very same charges and remain there. Imo.

If they come back with a not guilty, it's over--charges would be gone but that's not going to happen.

Only if hung does it get retried and yes, they can try it different.
